  1. Wisner has flashes of Bijan, or Jamaal, where they could hit those small creases, make a hopstep/sidestep and then accelerate. All 3 backs had/have this knack for making something out of nothing. He has that shiftiness to dodge a big hit, bounce off, and find a new angle. It makes bad blocking look decent, and hides how poor our blocking scheme is. That checkdown play to Baxter confounds me. Like, what in that play were even the primary/secondary reads? Is Sark hoping for a 1 on 1 outside on DJ? The TE and slot receivers hit traffic or look like they're only set up to block. Doesn't seem like there were many options.
  2. What're conversations between Sark and CDC gonna be like, regarding OOC schedules over the next few years? Think they'll consider dropping Notre Dame in '28 and '29? Would be kinda lame to drop Ohio State and Michigan at home, but I don't love playing Ohio State again with Sayin in year 2. Going back to Sark himself, my problem with him continues to be that he keeps game planning and play calling as if he has an offensive line to work with. Thankfully, he pulled his head out of his ass in the 2nd half. He needs portal help at O-Line and he needs it pronto.
  3. SEC tiebreaker rankings are so weird https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket_cloud.php?conf=secfb Wonder how a CCG loss would play out for playoff rankings, to sit at 10-3. Only chances to make the CCG is for Aggy to lose to South Carolina (and us), or Ole Miss drop 1 game. Bama could lose two games and we'd still be left out unless Aggy or Ole Miss drop another somewhere. There's scenarios where we could play any one of those 3 teams in the CCG. Would have to think wins vs Georgia and Aggy would mean something.
  4. At some point, Georgia is going to line up tight on outsides and try to stop the quick WR screens. We need to hit them up the seams. Our O-Line was constantly disrupted in their blocking schemes by athletic defensive linemen that beat our guys to their zone blocking spots. Kirby knows this and will try to get pressure with just 4-5 guys early. It's going to come down to our 5 vs their 4.
  5. Not to bang a dead horse, I didn't mind 12 personnel in 2023, when the WR depth wasn't as good as it was in 2024 or this year. Outside of the Worthy/JWhitt/AD Mitchell trio, the WR room was young. Sanders and Helm wasn't a bad combo to run 12 personnel in, it worked well with Sanders. But it made no sense last year and makes even less sense this year. My buddy made a comment about the Greg Davis style quick WR screens, but you can do that with 11 personnel when you give our WR's the space, and 1-on-1 matchups, like the first play to Wingo. It also helps slow the pass rush. Don't always need to rely on two tight-ends to slow the rush.
  6. The sheer number of times Sark rolled Juan Davis out last season, just to run 12 personnel made me want to throw a brick at my TV. It works if you have depth and can create mismatches in the pass game. Juan Davis could neither block nor beat anyone on a route. The 2025 roster has more potential at TE but the experience and physical maturity isn't there either to run 12 personnel. The only reason I can see running it is for extra blocking.
  7. How far north do you need to bring salt trucks down from? Nebraska? Missouri? There's a metric f-ton of road infrastructure in that area, not just around the stadium, but within a few miles. That's a lot of salt. Here in Chicago, they keep dedicated salt storage buildings EVERYWHERE to handle that kind of coverage. Jerry would have to fly in several C-17's with that kind of salt and trucks, lol
  8. Alex January, Aaron Bryant and Sydir Mitchel remain, with 2 recruits coming in (Sharma/Charles). Gonna need some portal help
  9. man I haven't played NCAAF since 2007ish, playing the 2005 version. a lot has changed. my old brain is having a hard time catching up.
  10. Because he reclassified to 2021, how does that affect his NFL draft eligibility? Does he only have to be here 2 years now? or is it a full 3 years?
  11. I'd love that guy's cell phone video to be posted
  12. ball game, kstate, lulz
  13. Has anyone been to Morgontown? Me and two old roommates are trekking up to Morgontown for this game, and the stadium seems pretty small, that the upper deck and even the visitor section (98-100?) aren't terrible seats, compared to DKR. We're starting to look for tickets as well.
  14. oh that looks like a good read, i'll check it out. 👍
  15. When it comes to the run game (defending against it), it's all about gap control and what technique your down linemen are using. Which gap are they covering, how're they trying to plug the particular run gaps, etc. If you don't play within the system your coordinator sets up, and you try to make the big play on your own (thus exposing your linebackers to a free o-lineman), a back can make a cut, run up a seam that opens up all of a sudden, and boom, you've just given up an easy 5-6 (or more) yards. I've never been a fan of 3-4, 3-3-5 or similar alignments, and asking a college kid to stay within the system vs making the big play is a big ask. I'd always prefer to put 4 down linemen on the defensive front, but again, i realize we're thin at defensive tackle. that could be a reason we go with that style defense.
  16. I'm hoping the defense is stout, but i swear to god, the 3 down alignment of Orlando's, with that roving 4th guy gives me anxiety every damn snap. I know a lot of that is predicated by the personnel we have on campus, but ... ugh, lol.
  17. don't gotta hate on a guy just cause they have a different opinion than you 🤷‍♂️
  18. The movie was great and Levi is the perfect casting choice ... an adult playing what amounts to be, a kid really. He also added a lot of muscle for this, and he swears there's no added bulk in the costume, but you have to think there's some bulk or shaping going on there.
  19. CBS is a stupid stupid company. Forcing shows to CBS All Access only, and demanding more money from cable companies to carry their local cbs affiliates. AT&T just dropped the local chicago CBS affiliate because they did not want to pay the money as they'd have to raise costs.
  20. those shoes look legit, but nike ... ugh
  21. leftist dreams are imploding the longer this goes on. this hearing is much about nothing.
  22. Colt, no question
