  1. Well he did run pretty well against ATM on said ankle.. But in general, Quinn's deep ball issues are probably just as limiting to playbook as his mobility. Sark isn't exactly known for dual threat QBs anyway. The sucktitude of the running game also has impacted playcalling for sure.
  2. Dane Key visiting jawja
  3. Do your thing Nansen. Although guessing he might go pro. Dalton Johnson, AZ starting safety from Katy, also in the portal. Honorable mention all Big 12
  4. Interesting to see the different portal approaches playing out already. ATM is lining up visits left and right, especially at WR (Hudson, Concepcion, Nic Anderson, Mario Craver), while Texas isn't doing squat so far.
  5. So officially losing the entire 3-deep at DT..sheesh not a surprise but staff has their work cut out for them
  6. Damn so are we sure he's going pro this year?
  7. So what you're saying is Banks will win Lombardi, OL wins Joe Moore, and Majors wins the Campbell. Got it. You're always the optimist!
  8. Not bad (edit: and he's from Killeen)
  9. Kyle Kennard won the Nagurski over Jahdae. Everyone go spam your favorite sportswriter on why Baron should win the Thorpe
  10. Do yall think playoff teams are going to be a little slower hitting the portal? Seems like all of the visits I've seen are non-playoff teams, other than the one Ga Tech WR to UGA.
  11. Who are the schools? For us poors
  12. How about this guy? 880 yards this season and 600 two years ago at Wazzu (only played 3 games last year)
  13. Seems like this one might be pre-arranged
  14. Who is our 3rd OT next year? Seems like we have solid depth at iOL but a transfer OT might be needed in case of injury
  15. General Booty is in the portal!
  16. Jacob Manu, LB from Arizona who was 1st team All-PAC last year under Nansen, is in the portal. Looks like his stats dropped big time this year and probably not a position of focus for UT, but would be a nice one
  17. Branch or Barion Brown could be a good Silas Bolden replacement as returner and solid WR
  18. Well said. I'll add one thing that might be the most frustrating part of yesterday: Despite all the warranted teeth gnashing and "should'ves"...we fuckin outplayed Georgia. Sometimes you just get unlucky in sports. UGA had 3 fumbles that bounced right back to them or out of bounds. The INT off Bond popped up right to them, while the Barron deflection popped up right where a UGA WR was sitting to knock it away from Mukuba. And then of course...the refs. I hate blaming refs but that first half was atrocious and absolutely impacted the score. If one or two of those things bounce the other way, we're probably celebrating an SEC championship and all hailing King Sark.
  19. Damn yeah that's an easy 1st down with Golden
  20. Wow. At least two of the holding calls were on WRs too.
  21. Sheesh that was driving me absolutely crazy. Plus the one on Stockton that flew/rolled out of bounds instead of stopping in the field. And the almost Mukuba INT off the Barron deflection but they happened to have a WR right there to knock it down.
  22. Exactly how I feel. Very perplexing. The run game has been really good the last couple years, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt that this year is an aberration, but we haven't had an elite passing attack any year under Sark which is shocking.
  23. QE is pretty low down the list to blame for this loss imo. Was he perfect? No. But he didn't get help from anyone. Multiple drops that would have been first downs (one popping up for an INT). No run game. Penalties everywhere killing drives. Missed FGs. None of that is on him. His biggest issue yesterday, and idk how much of this is on playcalling, was the disappearing act every time we got in/near the red zone. I mean, how many times did we get to their 30? Like 6 or 7? And turned those into 12 total points including OT. The most painful being 1st down from the 14 at the end of regulation with plenty of time and a TD winning the game.
  24. I'm guessing they'll get John Mateer at QB since they just got his OC. Little Elm kid. Haven't watched him but with good numbers so unfortunately seems like a good get
  25. This. The fake punt allowed was particularly bad. We had two guys blocking the gunner on that side and neither even turned around to consider a fake. Would have easily been in position if they had. Also don't forget the blocked punt vs ATM. That's a coaching thing. Kern will get better/stronger with a full offseason but we shouldn't have gone into this season relying on a summer-enrollee true freshman. With that said, I can't blame the staff for thinking we were set at kicker this year considering how well Bert did last year. Kick and punt coverage are also strong as usual.
