  1. He understates the case. 10 SEC games 5 Big Ten games 2 SEC vs. Big Ten games 2 ACC at SEC games 1 IND at SEC game Not a single one of the top 20 didn't involve Big Ten or SEC.
  2. What were you doing in my living room???? I have that rug.
  3. The speculation is that they would move to the Horizon for other sports.
  4. I didn't see anything and I was sitting on the Georgia side, only a handful of us in Burnt Orange. Didn't even see the normal barking. Rode MARTA which was overwhelmingly UGA. Crowd was really a lot more subdued than normal. All I saw at Austin this year was the barking and that only by a handful of 20 somethings. I was north side upper deck and most of the Georgia people were only a section or two over.. My wife's a Bulldawg and so I've been to more Georgia games than I can count and even with Florida, Auburn and Georgia Tech, they aren't particularly obnoxious (they hate those 3 as much as we hate OU). Bitching about every call, yes. Drunk, yes! But its usually falling down drunk, not angry drunk. As one Georgia fan told me at a Georgia-Florida game, "we may not always win the game, but we ALWAYS win the party. Georgia fans of all ages DO like to drink.
  5. Perfectly good hits. Plenty of UGA players have gotten hurt by dirty hits. Nick Chubb had a really nasty leg injury his sophomore year when Tennessee hit him 5 yards out of bounds. No flag. QB Aaron Murray had a season ended by Kentucky when he got hit low.
  6. Duh. That's probably just a bunch of aggys. And hey, at least we didn't waste any mustard or golf balls. (for those of you with short memories-Tennessee targeting Kiffin and Ole Miss)
  7. Dellenger was the first to break UC-Davis to MWC in all but football. McMurphy followed up crediting Dellenger, saying his sources had confirmed it. It wasn't long before the official announcement came out. Well since its Tuesday, McMurphy is saying Northern Illinois will imminently make a decision (either way) on fb only to MWC.
  8. Having as many as they have and feeling like they need to defend prior ratings is a big mistake. They don't need 6. Things change too much.
  9. Nonsense. SMU stayed in with a loss. UGA certainly would have.
  10. They're whining because Sankey didn't congratulate them. Of course, he mentioned Texas and OU and congratulated Texas on getting to the game their first year and then the stadium was a chorus of boos. He gave up the mic at that point. But the whole ceremony was kind of a mess. The ESPN lady running it seemed ADHD and disorganized.
  11. Sure wish we had a punter worth a damn... The only thing I can say is that his punts are short enough we don't get many returns against us. Is he the worst we have ever had? We have traditionally had good to great punters.
  12. I've never seen Georgia people throw stuff at the other team. The bark, yeah. And it seems none of you have ever been to an OU game! The whole SEC seems to have gone full aggy with the Horns down bit. They all did the gator chomp back at Florida, so they have adopted the Horns down.
  13. And based on the Massey composite, UT had the second toughest schedule (after UGA) of the 12 playoff teams.
  14. https://themw.com/news/2024/12/10/mountain-west-welcomes-uc-davis/ UC Davis joins Mountain West in all sports but football. They were in the Big West with the Big Sky hosting football. I suspect they will move up in football in a few years, but there isn't anything said about that.
  15. Georgia 46.7 Texas 50.9 Ohio St. 55.3 Penn St. 55.6 Oregon 57.0 Clemson 60.8 Arizona St. 61.3 Notre Dame 61.5 SMU 61.8 Tennessee 67.0 Indiana 75.2 Boise St. 82.9
  16. I've got a Clemson friend who expects us to win easily. And if somehow Clemson does win, he's not planning on going to the Peach Bowl because he doesn't think Clemson can win 2 in a row against this competition. He's been watching them all season and doesn't really believe they belong (except that they managed to win the ACC).
  17. The old Pac 12 contracts aren't expired. Colorado is the "Pac 12 representative." They didn't have time to redo all the bowl deals.
  18. Try Strength of Record. Bama was 11, SMU 15, Arizona St. 13 and Clemson 20. SMU would have lost more games with Alabama's schedule.
  19. 1,2,3 (3 is just irritating)
  20. I've said this before, but SEC refs don't protect players like the Big 12. Ewers had two clear late hits that didn't get called and would be called in any other conference. And one time the UGA player slapped him in the helmet with his hand. I saw Ewers complain to the refs a couple times, but they just kind of shrugged.
  21. Yeah. And nobody in the Big 12 would have gotten away with saying the refs were trying to steal the game (especially when they reversed one of the worst PI calls of the year). They just need to warn him once and then start penalizing his team. He will learn or get his belt holder to be stricter (in case you haven't noticed, he used to have someone hold his belt to keep him off the field and the guy still grabs him occasionally. His slamming Sankey after the game for Georgia's schedule was uncalled for too. Somebody just needs to quit pampering him. He's not stupid. He'll learn.
  22. It was a full speed shoulder to shoulder hit. That rocked his head and flipped the helmet off. Any helmet contact was glancing. It was just a great football hit, the kind you used to see, the kind you loved to make when you played.
  23. Receivers on both sides seemed to have grease on their hands. Small things as you say can make a difference. Ewers probably gets a TD if he throws to the other receiver on that side on 3rd down. Perfect throws instead of short throws could have been TDs on the plays before that. If UT stops Delp for one yard instead of 9 on first down or stops him when they hit him one yard short of the first on third down, UGA has to kick a FG. Lots of little things.
  24. Distracted that someone else was scoring against A&M for the first time in 13 years?
  25. The tour of MLK's boyhood home is good, especially if you get the blind guide. Its about a mile outside downtown. The Aquarium is downtown. I've always liked the World of Coke, but its not everyone's "taste." There is a tasing room with flavors from around the world.
