  1. This is too good. It's like you're in the movie business or something.
  2. Thanks for posting. I didn’t know much about Julius before reading that, and I’m glad to know he was a great Texan and Longhorn. Rest In Peace, Mr. Whittier.
  3. Kaplan’s take on the ALDS roster is interesting. 11 pitchers, 4 IF, 2 catchers, 2 DH, and 6 OF (including Straw for PR situations). No Peacock or LMJ. Not much to quibble with honestly - we’ll see if Hinch wants to go lighter on P for the 5 game series.
  4. Ha ha no surprise coming from you. You’re always the best. At being wrong.
  5. Thanks for posting this. For the sake of avoiding any distractions this is pretty good news. I hope he’s reformed or extremely thankful for the reprieve.
  6. Just my opinion... I get all the player friendly deals, taking a back seat for DJ , etc but I still have a lingering impression that he did that stuff for less than magnanimous reasons. Or at least that he had other self serving motivations that weren’t as obvious. He seems like a naturally selfish person who wants to be loved and viewed like Timmy and Manu. My $0.02.
  7. ... like to scissor in a waterbed while watching reruns of Oprah. oh you weren’t presenting a finish this sentence exercise? I am disappoint.
  8. Meh. Good luck to Tony, but - meh. I’m a bit surprised to feel that way but TP has always mostly been about TP. Hard to come to grips with the fact that we’ve seen the last of Manu though.
  9. Just echoing the appreciation for this thread. Except for the Chip and Bobby trash. Y'all can keep that garbage.
  10. Yuli filled in at 2B a bunch while Altuve was on the DL.
  11. I’d rather have the option of Gattis’ bat than a pitcher I’m not sure I trust.
  12. I think Gattis makes it - 3 catchers, 5 IF, 5 OF , and 12 pitchers. Devo, Harris, and Stassi are the notable omissions. Sipp will make the roster, and the last spot will come down to James or McCullers based on LMJ's health and ability to get in some work before the postseason.
  13. Yeah, the right side looks pretty good on that play, the hold by 68 notwithstanding. Hopefully they start settling into a more consistent play calling and player substitution regimen.
  14. Yeah well I still jerk off manually.
  15. It's a good problem to have. I certainly wouldn't slot Peacock to face lefties, but I feel comfortable with any of the others you listed above in that situation (including McCullers) depending on the match-up and game situation. I think Gut hit on something worth watching which is how Devo pitches when he gets back. He's got a month to show his stuff is right or risks getting left off the postseason roster, with Sipp likely taking that spot.
  16. Say it again. Pressly, McCullers, Smith all with sub .200 BAA versus lefties this year. Devo at .207.
  17. I want guys with a proven post season track record of getting outs. RH or LH - just.get.outs. I'm not willing to put a guy like Peacock on the bench just because of RH/LH matchups. If Devo gets back and is right then I think he's the designated call against lefties.
