  1. Y’all are debating Sipp over Peacock? The hell is wrong with you?
  2. Gattis or Stassi will be an interesting choice. After thinking about it a bit more, I suspect that Stassi is left off when we'll need a DH for all games.
  3. Catchers (3) Stassi Maldonado McCann IF(5) Altuve Bregman Correa Gurriel White OF(5) Springer Reddick Gonzalez Kemp Marisnick Pitchers (12) JV Cole Morton Keuchel Rondon Osuna Peacock Pressly Devo McCullers McHugh Smith Omissions - Gattis, Harris, Sipp
  4. These videos are bringing the feels today ... end of an era to say the least.
  5. Manu! No! ¡Ayúdame Obi-Wan Ginobili, eres mi única esperanza! Hats off to one of the most thoughtful, creative, unique, and exciting players I've ever had the pleasure to watch. The Spurs will not be the same without him. The beautiful game is dead - long live the beautiful game! ☹️
  6. Braves, Cubs, D-Backs Cardinals and Brewers
  7. Who gives them money? People who want to feel good about themselves because Joel told them a passage in the Bible informs (sort of) they should.
  8. ALTUVE WILL WALK ON WATER!!! Need more than his normal excellence to kick start the lineup. George and Carlos, we're looking at you. Get out of the ice tub and get the groceries. I'm not all that worked up about this skid other than it seems a shame to waste the outstanding performances this rotation continues to dole out. Oakland has to cool off at some point (right?), and Seattle seems to be held together with bubble gum and fairy farts.
  9. I can live with that. More virgins born every year.
  10. I know it's been said before, but I really enjoy reading this thread for two reasons: (1) the lulz and (2) to realize how lucky I am not to deal with even a fraction of the bat shit craziness that gets described here. Some of it may be done for theater, story telling, etc., but I get a sense that's there is more than a kernel of truth in all these whoppers. Carry on, you poor sacks of shit.
  11. You might say it's an assault on the English language.
  12. Trump will never resign. He will burn it all down before admitting failure.
  13. Rosenthal had this to say earlier today - he pointed out the issue but didn't think the Astros were concerned. Guess they were,
  14. Hmmm there’s the defensive catcher. No help with the bat though.
  15. Same. Still would like another bullpen arm and an outfield bat or catcher.
  16. What's nonsense? You seem to have missed the point. The trade was fine if you view it from the perspective of why the Spurs agreed to deal with Toronto as opposed to other teams offering picks/young assets only. What happened in 2017 has nothing to do with this trade and why it was made. Sorry. "In a few years" or "in the future" neither LMA or DeRozan will be able to carry a team and Pop will be retired. This is all about Pop. The trade removes from his worries a huge headache and distraction of nephew's "group" and allows the Spurs to stay competitive while he closes out his coaching career. Again, you never know what happens with this group but the window is really small. Spurs fans should just try to accept it for that, IMO.
  17. Agree - but this article made me realize I never really thought of Pop as the part of all the success (among Duncan, Parker, and Manu) that would be the "hanger on" delaying the inevitable reset.
  18. More post mortem analysis, but this article seemed to nail it for me: https://theathletic.com/436793/2018/07/18/leroux-what-the-kawhi-leonard-trade-means-for-the-raptors-the-spurs-and-his-other-suitors/
