  1. Exactly. Dak isn’t a generational QB like Brady or Manning, but he’s got the tools to lead an effective offense. It’s not like we’re trotting Luke Falk out there. If he was in a different system that actually utilized his strengths or was at all creative it’d be a different ballgame. Romo carried this offense so much that Garrett is actually convinced the scheme isn’t the problem but the truth is Romo was able to make the scheme “work” more or less, not vice-versa. Maybe I’m a bad fan but I’m resigned to the fact that we will never accomplish anything meaningful with Garrett as Head Coach.
  2. When were the flags for the IHTTF penalties actually thrown? Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember them being thrown close to the end of the play when the result of the play was evident
  3. Aggy = XFLU. Time to print the shirts
  4. This is the kind of game where we shut down Pooka and everybody acts like Orlando and gang fixed our defensive woes only for us to come out and play like crap the next week against TCU
  5. I like Mason Crosby because he's from Georgetown, but if he somehow shanks this I wouldn't be upset. Lions have gotten shafted all night by the zebras
  6. Booger about to have an aneurysm here with the Hands to the Face calls. That was a bad one
  7. Tess is equally grating but in a different way. This entire crew is way behind NBC, CBS, and Fox's number 1 broadcast teams
  8. It's stupid to me that a 5-yard penalty on 3rd and 10 like Illegal Hands to the Face results in an automatic first down. Why couldn't it just result in a 5-yard penalty and replay the down?
  9. The 49ers are missing their 2 starting tackles and are the only undefeated team in the NFC. The big difference between us and the 49ers is coaching. Shanahan is Isaac Newton compared to Garrett. If we lose to the Eagles this week I wouldn't be surprised if Marinelli gets fired or Garrett completely take over offensive playcalling in an attempt to scapegoat someone (i.e., Moore or Marinelli)
  10. Yes Dak should definitely shoulder some of the blame but the offensive scheme and playcalling doesn’t really do him any favors or maximize his strengths. What happened to all the motion and RPOs from the first few games? The offense has gotten increasingly more vanilla throughout the season which points to Garrett meddling more with the offensive playcalling and gameplanning as Tony alluded to yesterday
  11. IF Garrett finally gets fired, who would be good candidates for the job? Riley would be an obvious option but who knows if he'd want to leave what he's got at OU. I remember Bieniemy getting a few looks from teams last year
  12. To think “experts” said this was the most talented Cowboys team since the 90s. What a fucking joke. I said it last week and I’ll say it again: this team will NEVER accomplish anything meaningful with Garrett charge. He deserves to be fired on the tarmac like Lane Kiffin
  13. Are the analysts even that much of an attribute? We added Fedora and Coleman as analysts and our offense has regressed throughout the season
  14. Agreed. Thank goodness we didn’t just give a massive extension to a runningback with a lot of miles on him already like the Rams with Gurley
  15. The Jets are literally going to double their offensive touchdown total for the season against us, aren’t they?
  16. Damn that was a nice throw by Darnold there
  17. Wearing our bad-luck blues today. Shiiiiiiiit
  18. I still find it borderline miraculous Darnold recovered from Mono so quickly. If we lose this game Garrett should be fired on the spot. I know, that’s wishful thinking
  19. Pretty sure Orlando was asked about possibly running a 4-man front during a coordinator media availability last season and he said he would stick with a 3 man front and players just needed to stick to stick to their assignments
  20. Did he have playsheets in the West Virginia game?
  21. Maybe I’m overthinking it but a lot of the offensive series felt like 2017 playcalling all over again. About the only thing we were missing was the play where Sam rolls out to his left and all the routes go to the opposite side of the field.
  22. What kind of D did Ash run when he’s was DC at tOSU?
  23. I think if they somehow miss the playoffs, he’s gone. If they don’t win a playoff game he may be gone. Other potential openings like the Falcons or Texans could be tempting too if Riley really does have any NFL aspirations. Both of those teams have legit offensive weapons and aren’t complete rebuilds like Washington.
  24. I just wish the starting field position for overtimes was deeper so teams aren’t automatically in field goal range. Maybe start at midfield
