Damn, bad bounce for us there
-
What about 9-3 Iowa?
-
That was a nice play by the SS on the slow roller
-
-
For sure the bolded
-
I'd prefer the 4x defending champions to lose to officially end their streak. I think we can out offense Tech even with Canady.
-
This Tennessee pitcher is quite attractive
-
I think it was actually 9-1/4" drop 🤓
-
Keep that drop ball low and we are all good...but this ump doesn't seem to have a low zone
-
The all white uni does Mac no favors
-
The military academies would clearly only need to be a 1 off home game for us because it is cool playing military academy and I would not schedule Stanford at all. As far as home/home opponents I agree with most of your list. I'd add the following which aren't "premier" but would be good home/home candidates: Nebraska Boise State Arizona State - Which I think we already have setup, right? Arizona Colorado Georgia Tech - Recruiting standpoint in the state of Georgia BYU Kansas State
-
You schedule vacationers are the worst. Home/Home with Penn State would be awesome.
-
Some NBA players talking about Reese would be out the league if a male player had her FG% is funny

SEC Hitting Ranks: 11 in batting average 11 in homeruns 12 in OB% 10 in RBIs 10 in Slugging% 3 in strikeouts

Texas Recruiting Notes 2027: I remember watching his dad play
BurntOrange&White replied to BornAndRaised's topic in 🤫$9.95🤫
CJ Vogel Texas offered 2027 The First Academy OL Reed Ramsier at the Pool Bash Sunday afternoon. The native of Orlando, Florida clocked in at 6-foot-5-inches tall and a tick over 300 pounds while on the trip. OTF caught up with him on the way back to the Sunshine State to get his reactions to the offer and thoughts on his time at Texas. "Dude it was an awesome visit," Ramsier said. "The camp went great I got to see how Coach Flood and (Derron Gatewood) coach. I was able to compete against some great defensive lineman and get better. After camp we got to hang out by the pool with some of the coaches and other recruits. It was an awesome visit and I can’t wait to be back up In fall!" The offer by Kyle Flood was one that Ramsier mentioned he had been working for. With it now in hand, his effort is only going to continue improving. "When I heard I was offered I was ecstatic," Ramsier said. "I had worked my tail off in the camp. All the hard work and the long nights had led up to that moment and It feels good to see your work pay off. This offer only motivates me more to keep working and prove why I have an offer from The University of Texas. Ramsier is a relatively new name for the 2027 class, but the Longhorns have had him circled for a few months now. Texas nickels coach Keynodo Hudson stopped by The First Academy this spring and immediately phoned Derron Gatewood and Kyle Flood to get Ramsier on the radar. A few months later and Ramsier leaves Austin with an offer and is one of 14 offensive linemen offered in the 2027 class. What's next in this recruitment? Ramsier said he is definitely looking forward to a return to Austin this fall for a game at DKR. Texas joins Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma, and 15 others in the recruitment of Ramsier. -
Texas Recruiting Notes 2027: I remember watching his dad play

CJ Vogel The festivities and competition at DKR have wrapped up. With a focus remaining on the 2027 quarterback picture, there were two offers extended to 2028 arms who competed today in front of Steve Sarkisian and the Texas coaching staff. Some updates on a few of the top targets on campus this afternoon. *** 2027 Peyton Houston, QB, Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian Academy The first and last recruit to leave the camp this morning was the quarterback out of Shreveport. Houston says the relationship with AJ Milwee and Steve Sarkisian are the reasons why the Longhorns remain in such high contention in his recruitment. Houston said he feels like a priority for the Texas staff, even with the other quarterbacks on campus for the camp. Houston was at USC last week and plans to visit Clemson as well., In terms of a timeline for Houston, he says a decision is likely to come in the middle of his junior season. 2027 Gunnar Rivers, QB, Fairhope (Ala.) St. Michael Catholic One of the biggest names in Austin this afternoon was only on campus for a quick minute. Gunnar Rivers and Philip Rivers were on campus for just a couple of hours. Rivers was one of the first departures from Austin following the conclusion of the Elite Camp. Rivers did not mention an offer being extended by the staff, but added that Texas is certainly interested in him at the moment. Rivers said Steve Sarkisian and the QB development at Texas were the big reasons why he wanted to come checkout campus for the first time. Other school visits will include the regional tandem of Alabama and Auburn. 2027 Malachi Zeigler, QB, Benton (La.) High Zeigler arrived with both parents early in the afternoon and did a fine job at the camp according to folks who watched. The Benton, Louisiana prospect did not speak after the visit, in fact he got out pretty quickly after the camp. But there was a meeting with Steve Sarkisian at some point during the camp. *** Read on the quarterback situation: No real movement in the 2027 hunt for quarterback. My money currently is on Peyton Houston being the top guy on the board. I think Texas likes Gunnar Rivers, but with no offer extended today and the mixed reviews from folks at the camp today, I have a hard time believing he is going to be the No. 1 option. The pieces of the puzzle just don't fit for me. There were some mentions of Jerry Meyer III as one of the quarterbacks that impressed quite a bit. He has a lively arm despite being a bit thinner from a frame perspective. *** Additional Nuggets 2027 John Meredith III, CB, Euless (Texas) Trinity Meredith spoke very highly of his time on campus and growing relationship with Mark Orphey. One notable piece from our conversation was how quickly Orphey worked to prioritize Meredith after taking the Texas job. Meredith mentioned that Orphey was on the phone with him almost the day after being hired by Steve Sarkisian. Those efforts have paid off up to now, the Longhorns are in the top three for Meredith, who also included Penn State as the only other for sure member of that top trio. Other contenders include Oregon, Alabama and Tennessee. "I would fit in just right (at Texas)." 2027 Kaeden Scott, OT, San Antonio (Texas) Roosevelt Scott returned to campus for the first time since the end of March with both of his parents. Scott highlighted the time with Kyle Flood and a quick meeting with Steve Sarkisian from his time on campus. He will be at Texas A&M on Tuesday for a camp as well. Proximity is going to be an important piece of this recruitment as well, it has the makings of a true Lone Star Showdown for his signature. Scott mentioned Ohio State, North Carolina and Tennessee as out of state schools he wanted to go see. 2027 JayQuan Snell, DB, Waxahachie (Texas) High Snell did not compete at the camp today, but that was not the intent of the visit. Instead, he was able to sit with Sarkisian for quite a while after the camp and pool party. Snell is planning to see Alabama and a few others this June, but the Longhorns and Texas A&M remain the two biggest constants at this point in his recruitment. 2027 Eli Johnson, DB, Cibolo (Texas) Steele Texas offered the Steele defensive back after a strong camp this afternoon. Johnson was all smiles afterwards reflecting on the emotions of receiving the Texas offer. Johnson mentioned the proximity being a huge plus for his recruitment. Johnson attended the camp with teammate Trey Johnson, a 6-foot-3-inch cornerback who is currently very under the radar. Texas asked Johnson to comeback for a future camp this afternoon. 2027 Ismael Camara, OL, Gilmer (Texas) High I was told Camara was one of the top performers from the camp this afternoon. At 6-foot-6-inches and 330 pounds, Camara has a massive frame and performed very well. 2027 Julian Caldwell, WR, Argyle (Texas) High Even with an offer in hand, Caldwell competed at the Elite Camp this afternoon. He said he wanted to go prove to Chris Jackson he can run every route in the book. Caldwell said Texas has been a dream school of his since he was a little kid and spoke very highly of the relationship he is establishing with the Texas staff. Texas is very up on the list for Caldwell so far. Caldwell is going to LSU June 12 and Oregon June 18. 2027 Alvin Mosley, WR, Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Crawford "Texas is at the top for sure." Mosley told OTF after he was offered by the Longhorns at the Elite Camp. Houston, TCU and Arkansas are also schools mentioned by Mosley this afternoon. Texas competing at such a high level on the field is a key reason why the Longhorns. Mosley is going to LSU June 5, Texas A&M June 12 and possibly out to Ohio State on June 18. 2027 Kaden McCarty, Houston (Texas) Cy Falls Texas offered Kaden McCarty at the camp this afternoon after a strong performance. A bit of an intriguing build for McCarty, who is only 6-foot-1.5, but is recruited mostly as an EDGE. LaAllen Clark has been a key piece of this recruitment early. McCarty said Clark has been one of his favorite coaches in his recruitment so far – Clark was who offered McCarty this afternoon. Next up for McCarty and Texas is a fall visit so he can see how the coaches approach the players in practice. "I have been waiting on this offer for a while." -
Why on the bolded? Outside of homeruns we absolutely suck at hitting as a whole. Same issues across two different HC's with him. Weiner can be explained by injuries and lack of arm talent as a whole. But given our recruiting class and the work we're about to do in the portal I think overall we will be much better pitching staff moving forward.
-
Scott already in the transfer portal. Blake says he's 1 of 4 that are expected but none of the 4 are considered major losses.
-
It will be nice that Schloss won't be scrambling to recruit portal, his own team to stay, moving, recruiting high school all within 6 weeks of being hired.

When your entire offense is homerun or bust that is what you get IMO.
-
I think most years big 12 would have 2 in anyway and being in favor of 5/11 gives them the better chance of an additional team more than 4/4/2/4 format
