  1. Really excellent action! I read that the guy that made the "Astartes" series on YouTube was involved. I'm really excited to see what sort of stuff they put out, their recent "The Tithes" series had some really great action and grimdark writing too
  2. 60 MInutes with a long segment on the """poor airmanship""" that's been plauging Boeing's airframes
  3. I mean, are you aware of the 1400 acre ranch in west Texas they're converting into an immigrant concentration site for deportation? https://www.texastribune.org/2024/11/19/texas-border-starr-county-ranch-trump-deportation/ Buddy it's gonna get fucking UGLY. Just hope there's no rail lines put in.
  4. It's pretty crazy how much love the market is giving them, when they haven't actually produced anything new or made any improvements to their product that brings in revenue. Is there anything besides their BTC holdings and hype that's underpinning their hockey stick?
  5. ftfy
  6. It's surprising that the bankruptcy judge would ignore the will of the largest creditors that are getting almost the entire plate either way. But sure, selling the whole thing back to his daddy at a cut rate - against the preferred business plan of the creditors - is DEFINITELY the most pragmatic solution.
  7. It's the difference in messenger. Uppity blek wimmenz? DEY TOOK UR FURDS! Legacy old white dude? What brain worms?
  8. WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE MASSIVE CORPORATE FARM SUBSIDIES???
  9. The obesity epidemic is largely driven by the crappy food options around the country. When all there is to eat is ultraprocessed shit, you're wayyyyy more likely to have wacked out cravings that lead to obesity.
  10. A free market? In this economy??
  11. The families stood to gain $7M over the next decade, as opposed to the $3.5M immediate payout from Alex Jones' dad. Who assumed ownership of most of the rest of infowars' assets that they couldn't get out before the bankruptcy hit. This is an uncritical and lazy take.
  12. That's the funny thing - he didn't give any solution and left it to the bankruptcy trustee. No new auction but they can't use the old one. From the article, jonesco used the Chewbacca defense and the old senile judge fell for it
  13. Lol some corrupt old asshole judge is Houston said that the auction was unfair and homes shouldn't have lost. Of fucking course the legal system protected this racist and fascist fuck. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/internet/bankruptcy-judge-rejects-onions-bid-buy-alex-jones-infowars-rcna183453
  14. Man, using moonlight and sunshine to stream my PC directly to my TV over my LAN feels like the future. I can pair controllers to the TV or just directly to the PC a floor away, and either works with no friction. I did have to enable dev mode on my TV to install the moonlight client, but that's just because LG insists on using webOS. Most android TVs you can just side load the apk and let it rip. I'm getting rock solid 1440p 120hz over my wired LAN, it's really brought couch co-op back to my PC gaming household
  15. Weird, I'm on PC and had no problems with that area. Windows 11 24H2, 5800X3D and 3080 with 32GB of memory. What windows OS version are you?
  16. Yeah fuck thats an excellent point of context for @Skipper. Just going out looking for trouble, finding it, and killing a guy just because you disagree with him is explicitly legal in our Great State of Texas. Abbott out front shoulda told ya. Luigi just needs to get a sympathetic governor that doesn't care about the rule of law or a jury verdict to pardon him like Daniel Perry did
  17. Not that vigilante justice is what should be happening, but this fuckstick is absolutely alleged to have done illegal things https://insurancenewsnet.com/innarticle/thompson-unitedhealth-kept-probe-secret-and-misled-investors-lawsuit-claims https://www.kare11.com/article/news/local/lawsuits-unitedhealth-executives-brian-thompson-insider-trading-allegations/89-0bcd0da2-5660-4db1-bcea-c751ec691af6 For example, UHC was taking in billions in payments for in-home health assessments and care, and then never followed up with care. At least according to the Office of the Inspector General.
  18. Man fuck Southwest. I missed a night of Dead and Co at the Sphere because those fuckers cancelled my 10A flight at 4AM and rescheduled me for the next day. Fuckers didn't even give us a refund on our tickets until we got a few steps up the escalation chain. I unfortunately mostly fly on United because of their direct flights to where my customers are. I have come to expect the pain coming and going from IAH. Oh yeah and NEVER park at EcoPark. You'll be stuck at the shuttle pickup for an hour plus
  19. Oh sorry, I guess for now it's still schedule 1 that was growing. ... There were weed plans growing wild in the back yard when she moved in. She backs up to a green belt
  20. Hell, when my sister moved into a new house in Virginia she discovered their back yard was naturally dispensing schedule 3 controlled substances
  21. That podcast really struck me with how 100% on point the writing was, and it was published in the early 2000's.
  22. IAH is probably one of the worst airports in America right now. It's nearly a goddamn hour to get from parking to the gate sometimes, simply because they decided to fuck all the roads up again for shiggles
  23. I mean, UHC is fine with the medical neglect of millions of people every year. They built a fucking AI bot to systematically deny claims, and then argued in court that it was legal because the sick could simply go through their multi-year appeals process. Nevermind that many of them have perhaps months if denied care, so UHC gets to simply memory hole all their extracted sacks of capital neglected patients. If you can't handle the ugliness of American healthcare and understand why the general response to a cold blooded murder is "meh" or even "hooray", then you must be extremely fortunate to never have a family member go through that systemic medical neglect.
  24. IMO "making" a firearm, as in buying raw materials and milling them yourself, is very different from buying a pre-manufactured parts kit and assembling. And a much easier thing to draw a clear line on
  25. There was an outfit that was selling an "adapter" for standard oil filters that would thread onto most barrels. They got away with it because it only became a suppressor if you also had an oil filter nearby, but eventually the ATF caught on and wrote a letter and made the adapter itself registered. And yeah, it turns out it's pretty easy to put threads onto NPT fittings lol.
