  1. Yeah this was a movie star with tens of millions to spend. Imagine someone with literally FOUR ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more money to spend. You could buy a whole social media platform and disseminate an industrial level of dis and misinformation
  2. My man, they're owned by billionaires. Their sole purpose is to enrich their owners and stake holders. Nothing more than that. Civics are dead and privatized
  3. Annie. Sweetie. Calm down child. Nobody is claiming Kremlin talking points about the LV trump tower bombing except you shitting in this punch bowl. Where tf are you coming from lol. Please quote your posts here if you're gonna go off the rails and thread shit. Or you can just keep rhetorically "many people are saying" it until you believe it yourself. It's gotten you this far, after all.
  4. Dogs in restaurants inside is fucking insane, and I love my dog to death. We'll take the dog with us to the beer garden's outdoor seating area but that's it. I don't think you're an outlier wrt/ non service dogs indoors at restaurants. I don't think I've seen folks just strolling down the street pulling on a J like they might with a cig, but the smell definitely is more distinctive than a dart. When I walk my dog by the apartments near my neighborhood, I almost always can smell something dank if it's the evening. TBH it's surprising that they're not just vaping instead of burning lol, way more discreet
  5. Tfw the long snapper never got set so it wasn't all 11 players getting subbed
  6. NBC has some reporting: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/soldier-died-cybertruck-motive-criticizing-government-rcna186182
  7. Gotta use something better than jet fuel to melt steel, everyone knows that
  8. Dude click through the profiles he posts and look at some of their other tweets and posts. They're nearly all anti-vaxxers, #PLANDEMIC truthers, so-called Jan6 patriots, and folks retweeting tucker carlson. I don't think those sorts of people are good sources of information, as they have already thoroughly demonstrated their scorn for facts. I know you think it's all bullshit because you looked at one link and it was fine, but man you gotta have more than one level of curiosity and critical thought. Pronghorn posts and incredible deluge of bullshit, some of it is deleted/moderated on by fucking TWITTER just hours after he posts it even. Anyways, can you stop thread shitting Rex? I thought you stopped caring about this pages ago.
  9. Having a 3D printer is nice, my wife wanted an organizer for all the baby food snacks that were taking over our pantry so I drew one up and printed it!
  10. Or it could be the growing use of forever chemicals and presence of micro plastics. But it's a much easier sell to say "it's those damn alkies/fatties/etc" and not worry about the actual why
  11. 2007 was also a banger: Portal, Halo 3, Skate, COD4: Modern Warfare, Rock Band, Oblivion.... It really was the best time to be a kid with an xbox
  12. That's a solid video that lays out the legal argument against Honey, and it nicely covers the theft from creators that hosted the affiliate links. Gonna be really interesting if/when it gets to court and discovery happens
  13. """Insurance""" should get fucking bent and we should just get healthcare without rent seeking middlemen. It's wild how much the general public is scared of the government snooping on them, but completely nonplused by a for profit company harvesting their data and exploiting their family for profit.
  14. We as a nation don't give a single fuck about classrooms of children getting mowed down by gunmen. Haven't for more than a decade. Why would this be any different?
  15. Care to clearly state the #bothsides here? Or since it's a new year do we have to put up with a deductible of bullshit before you get on with it
  16. I did really enjoy Joe's announcing on that silly mini golf TV a while back. He got outshone by Riggle though

    3D Printing

Ok, so I'm really enjoying the supertack print plate. I CAD'd and printed a big 250x225mm pantry organizer in PETG for baby snacks and there was very little warping over the whole print, which is tough to do with PETG and a surface area that big. And then to top it off, I printed the two 2x215x50mm drop in dividers and those super narrow objects stuck perfectly! Really impressed with the plate All together it was about $7 in plastic and my wife is happy to have EXACTLY what she wanted
  18. CNN had some new stuff from his online profiles https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/01/us/shamsud-din-jabbar-suspect-new-orleans-attack/index.html
  19. Ztejas, Rex, and pronghorn walk into a bar...
  20. Bro do you even eigenvector?? The dimensionality of most RAG knowledge bases is at least 1000 parameters, and in the enterprise usecases I've helped my customers deploy they're upwards of 15,000 parameters. It's pretty crazy because at those higher dimensionality spaces you can start to categorize and encode wildly different types of information. You can entangle the lingustic meaning of "clear blue sky" with the actual color of sky blue, and the idea of warmer temperatures, and everything else that could contextually enrich that phrase. Or brought into the business context, you can use a multimodal input to process and transform pictures of items coming off a production line for QA and create a pretty damn good description and written report that's checking visual and spatial qualities. Or you could feed a knowledge base all of your contracts originated from your various branch offices and have an O(1) lookup for the meaning within those contracts to determine what it is you've actually comitted to or are due. Sure you still have a lawyer validate it, but you can sift through SUCH A HUGE VOLUME of information incredibly quickly and accurately to only act on the things that need it.
  21. TIL saying "don't talk to the cops without a lawyer" is equivalent to telling people to vote for trump
  22. If you liked the math, you should check out the whole Deep Learning series, he starts out with visualizing the vector operations and a 3D model that he uses for explanations. I did linear diffeq and vector cal at Texas and I still feel like the explanations improved my mental model and understanding
  23. Yeah, loading up a truck bed with gasoline and fireworks is a big fireball but not really all that destructive aside from the fire. No, or minimal, blast wave and fragmentation. And he's a dude who KNOWS how to achieve an effect on a target with explosives if he's a Green Beret
