  1. Too funny. Just when it looked like we were circling the drain towards Card, Sark pulls the trigger.
  2. I’m pretty sure they tried twice and he used them for raises from OSU both times.
  3. That’s interesting because I recently heard someone (Wells or Hamilton) saying they think that while he will continue to flirt with Oregon and LSU, that they expect him to stay in state.
  4. Fan fiction but of course I’d love it if things went this way. (9-3)
  5. You lost me at “maybe the defense is pretty good”
  6. The choice of QB is not going to affect the outcome of the first three games at all. We are going to be 2-1 regardless of whether Card or Ewers starts them. Unless Ewers is completely hated and disrespected by the team, put him out there and let him play through it. We’ll be a better team by mid season for it.
  7. I mean, everyone agrees that the ESPN recruiting rankings are the most authoritative, don’t they?
  8. Two guys from West Virginia are apt to let bygones be bygones
  9. What was the Jimbo walk back? I thought he doubled down with that ridiculous press conference?
  10. Referred to by some denizens of that state as “Cincitucky” Too soon
  11. By hook or by crook (and a weak Big 12), we need to scrape together 8 wins. If we can get to that, I think we can hold the 2023 class firmly together and not lose any transfers that we wanted to keep. We do that and 2023 could be the year this program takes off. 7 feels real shaky and we probably do see a couple jump ship. 6 and we really start taking on water. 5 and we’re probably starting the Urban Meyer thread back up. This year just feels real important.
  12. Just one of many examples why we can’t afford to shit the bed again this season
  13. Honest question - Is that a serious assessment? If so, is it based on reading this thread or your observations being on the ground in Austin? I’m genuinely interested because I really like what he is doing to upgrade the talent on the team but it is becoming increasingly clear that we won’t see that reflected on the field until 2023 at the earliest, and if we have another abortion of a year like the last one, a lot of that talent won’t be there in 2023.
  14. Sark looks like he has lost some weight
  15. I’m not sure that post about Cain being a “1:1 replacement” for Neyor means the author (Nahlin?) thinks Cain is as good a player as Neyor. It could just mean that the staff isn’t going to replace Neyor by a rotation of 2-3 guys at the position and that they intend to only plug in Cain for Neyor’s position. I was much more thrown off by the “striated glutes” comment at the end of the piece.
  16. I would hope so but a true freshman making the line calls and being consistent with his shotgun snaps worries the hell out of me. Need to start giving one of them a lot of reps right now.
  17. So much for just moving Whittington out there. And we’re a Jake Majors injury away from Logan Parr being our starting center.
  18. I know it’s hard to do but let’s at least get through one scrimmage without losing multiple starters to season ending injuries before we start feeling good about the season.
