  1. Sark killed it in the off-season in his first two years, and he’s doing it again. Fuck yeah.
  2. That Swaim dude is a troll. Pay no attention to his account.
  3. Steichen has done a great job this year in Indy. Feels like a toss-up game to me.
  4. I generally hate and avoid listening to these talking heads, but credit to Nick Wright.
  5. This thread reminded me that "Throwin' Stones" by Ayatollah and the Regime Narratives is an underrated album.
  6. Longhorn super fan Twitter is the absolute worst. Bunch of communal narcissists vying for attention and clout.
  7. Any preseason talk of Quinn leaving after this year was with the assumption that Manning would take over in 2024. Also, there was no scuttlebutt about Quinn being a first round pick in the NFL during this season. With Arch redshirting, Quinn staying in 2024 started to make sense months ago. Any talk of Maalik Murphy having a chance to start at Texas had to come from his camp. MM is talented but still raw, hence the transfer to Duke and not a big time program. Arch signing with Texas sealed MM's fate. I'm grateful he stayed this year, got us a couple of wins when Quinn was out, and will root for him to succeed for the rest of his career. But Quinn staying in 2024, MM transferring, and Arch being the backup who takes over in 2025 made the most sense then, and now.
  8. I am serious. You mentioned Maalik Murphy being "derailed" and messing up the plan. Are you saying the plan was for Murphy to start next season?
  9. The writing was on the wall for Maalik a year ago. With the new portal rules it will be pretty much impossible to keep 3 good QBs on a roster unless the years are spread out perfectly. Signing Arch derailed MM. I think you're putting too much stock in "chemistry development". AD Mitchell walked in and had success right away with Ewers. The chemistry comes from Sark's offense and schemes, not individual players. Do people think Arch is only gonna play one full year at Texas in 2025 and then head straight to the NFL? I find that incredibly unlikely. It's not in the Manning DNA to do that.
  10. Arch Manning is not your typical blue chip. We just can't compare him and his situation to other 5 star QBs, which I feel like most people do. Money is not an issue. He's not desperate to get to the NFL ASAP. He loves going to school at Texas. He wants to have the whole college experience, like his dad and uncles. We are lucky to have a player that attracts other blue chips but also is willing to wait his turn. Embrace it. Sark knows what he's doing here.
  11. Totally disagree. Timing couldn't be more perfect. Not ideal for Arch to start next year at Ann Arbor, vs. OU, at A&M and Ark, and playing Georgia. Another year as a backup will do him good. We have momentum and don't want to take a step back. Watch what happens to Jackson Arnold this year with their brutal schedule. They very well could be staring 7-5 in the face.
  12. Good for him. Probably grew up an Aggie fan living in Bryan and now he has the chance to play there and be closer to family and friends.
  13. If Aggies found out their wives were getting railed by a guy from the state of Alabama, they'd be like "I mean, I get it."
