  1. Yes. Just a small chip on the interior. I have no idea how it happened. But they were great and sent me an email today asking me to pick the color of my replacement.
  2. Reviving this thread to say that my trusty Lodge 6 Qt developed a little chip on the upper-interior surface after eight years of faithful service. I emailed Lodge, sent them a couple of pictures, and I have a brand new replacement on the way. For whatever they may lack in robustness of the coating, Lodge will stand behind their lifetime warranty.
  3. It was 1994. I saw them at the Astrodome, and we hung out into the parking for quite a while in an effort to miss the opener. We walked in feeling like we'd timed it perfectly, and then he started up Summer of 69. Talk about losing your wind.
  4. I get why they don't want him in jail and subject to forfeiture before they get their civil defamation judgment against him. But I'm guessing the criminal cases ultimately will go first.
  5. Gracie had that after a jump off the bed followed by a good take-down by here much bigger sister when she was 8 or 9. Doggy anti-inflamatories knocked it out. It recurred once, but it was just a strain. I'd bet that's what happened with Jax. Good luck.
  6. Too bad. Love is Alive is also a great song. RIP
  7. Very happy not to hear the phrase "scares you to death" today.
  8. This press conference is a bit slow getting started, similar to . . . .
  9. No cough for me. Just moderate congestion/nasal drip. Annoying more than anything. Will break out the second test shortly.
  10. I'll probably hit it again tomorrow with the second test. I had it last summer, and it isn't nearly as bad from the tired-achey end of things as last year's COVID was. We'll see.
  11. I've been congested and crappy-feeling with a very light fever since Thursday (pretty mild). Skipped the family lake trip for labor day. Tested negative today. Guess it's a cold.
  12. Oh yeah. Almost guaranteed. But there are a lot of people willing to give up their respective moneys. It was the right move. And, no cloak room, unlike some, he removed these people from their money in a nice, optimistic, fun way. And I, for one, don't have a problem with that.
  13. Speaking of that Bassman 100, what a cool first amp. You could get it into Bassman 50 sounding territory by bridging the channels, turning everything up to 10, and running the master volume around 3. Got it along with a 4x12 Sunn speaker box with four old Eminence square magnet speakers. edited for a more representative picture
  14. Not at that time. Sold the 72 Vibrolux Reverb years ago. Sold the Bassman 100 (my first real amp; got it for $100) and 1967 Bandmaster too. Hell, there was a Bassman Ten in there too. Super Reverb it is not. The 73 DR was the one. Everything else is tweed (a more recent obsession).
  15. That's a great deal for that Champ! I think I got mine (2008 SG Special Faded) for $500. I loved my 77 Champ, but I was using the 76 Princeton Reverb more. Then, I realized that my 73 Deluxe Reverb was way better than the PR. And since there was no larger BF/SF amp, the DR is my #1.
  16. Probably not. Mine has a few nicks from not carefully pulling it out of the case. It's a pretty soft finish.
  17. Almost porous is about right. I think it would take a lot of buffing, and I dig it as-is. The aged-nickel PAF clones from Mojotone were an improvement both in the sonic and looks department. Couldn't have shiny pickup covers with a faded body. Just wouldn't do.
  18. He was a good musician/entertainer and a great song writer with a lot of good songs that weren't chart-toppers. They were solid tunes though. But you're right that the diversified brand he spawned was other-worldy. I mean, he had Margaritaville-branded retirement communities. "You never know when Jimmy might show up." Yeah, the money wasn't just from selling records and concert tickets.
  19. Wow! Nice work. Is that factory finished "faded" or is it listed as satin. I've got a "faded" SG from 2008. I've read about people buffing them out. But I kind of dig it on that guitar. Definite improvement on the Epi LP.
  20. I've been under the weather and missed this weekend's trip to the lake. So I treated myself. Dry brined for about six hours. Added some pepper and garlic powder. Cooked indirect on a Weber Kettle to 119F internal. I rested it, seared it over the coals for 90 seconds per side, and finished it in a pan of butter, rosemary, and garlic.
  21. That penalty on an otherwise good punt return. Lulz
  22. Musicians usually are short. It's weird.
  23. I want to believe. But the roller coaster never lies.
  24. That "Spider John" song was cool.
