  1. That Jersey should not be available for recruit edits. Also get off my lawn
  2. Rattlesnake bar should be in your rotation...
  3. I'm not shocked that some have talked themselves into a "bad hire" position prior to any data to demonstrate that. Look, it's the off-season and for those half-empty types, you have every reason to talk yourself into depression. I choose to believe we'll be noticeably better as a team, record TBD depending on close game breaks. I prefer to focus on the need to get back into summer beach shape by trying to get the one-pack into a 1.5-2 pack through an unproven regime of laying in the sun while drinking beer, and slowly expanding sprint drills from 5 yards to 40 yards to be available as an alternate for the Sept Surly Olympics without shredding my hamstrings.
  4. I think you said you're staying at Los Altos. Post your thoughts/impressions when you get back, just booked there for late july.
  5. My Son is not on the Team, but close to a number of current players. He "knew" what had happened before the news was even public. It's a sobering discussion to have with a 21 year old - and it did hit home - that he and his friends aren't bullet proof, invisible, and immortal even though that's how we all felt at that age.
  6. Sark is Gru.
  7. Not for a long time, but that's when one's taste in candy is defined in terms of "best ever!". At least for me. Going to an actual candy store was the bomb.
  8. Fun Dip Candy Buttons Rock Candy Candy Cigarettes Jaw Breakers Original Bubble Yum Cotton Candy Pixie Sticks
  9. Looks like one needs negative test to get back into the US. Anybody sort that out while in CR? Tulemar or anything in that area for easy testing?
  10. Yeah, love this. the SEC sucked all year whenever rankings were shown. I did a quick look-up (Sports-reference.com). Overall defense in 2020, Aggies were 17th (3rd highest sec team behind GA and AL). There were SIX big 12 teams listed ahead of them. Similar stats in scoring, passing, rushing, where usually the hayseeds were 3rd in conference and behind 5 other big 12 teams. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/years/2020-ratings.html
  11. What's sad is the lack of recent heart-break in Longhorn Sports. You've got to be good and you've got to be close to have something wrenched away. Hard to get worked up losing OT at OU when you know more losses on the way. Here's to some heart breakers in our near future.
  12. Lovell Pinkney
  13. He looks like Gru in this picture. The minions must be close by.
  14. I think we learned that Urban Meyer is the same cut throat scum bag we always assumed he was when he wasn't a candidate. That he used our interest to likely provide air cover for assistant discussions for the Jacksonville job he already had a line on with the owner and to create or have his agent create leverage on the money side. He had his opportunity and is now dead to me. I hope he flames out in the NFL and Sark is a home run. We'll see.
  15. Damn, that was the fraternity house well vodka - 30 years ago. First handle I ever saw that was plastic. We did steal a few and take to Farm Aid 2 though. Good times.
  16. I lived in LR for two years when we were all SWC. They hated Texas more than they loved their wives/sister/cousins. When the game was played in Fayetteville, Little Rock stores painted windows, shut down early, people took friday off, drank and talked smack. Little Rock is 200 miles from campus.
  17. Wear a fucking orange shirt for your announcement photo....
  18. Happy New Year Degenerates
  19. Nope, head coach fired by then, and interim working on resume for bowl game to try to stay on with new staff.
  20. Best TexMex used to be the RoundUp in Pharr Texas. That Botana platter was world famous. Also El Pato tacos in next door McAllen were the greatest food ever invented for $2. Course I'm old as dirt and haven't been to the valley in 20 years, and the RoundUp is now closed, so this adds no value. Also Salt and Pepper only like Franklin for brisket and dry brine Turkeys (Wet brining wastes too much for little return). Carry on.
  21. I buy into this line of thought. Herman still has pretty big buy-out between his contract and those of the assistants. That money isn't coming from operations. So, it sounds like CDC has plenty of gunpowder to go get UM, but if UM hasn't said yes yet, or ultimately says no, who knows what the constraints on the buyout money are - as in show me a candidate and I'll let you know vs. Herman out at any or all costs. This would cause what we have seen so far - ie no termination or reassignment prior to all boxes checked with all parties.
