  2. Same reaction - oddly depressing
  3. So Legalese get's sorted the same day some NCAA violations hit the street? Coincidence no doubt.
  4. Fair question - some of both I would say: Actions of both (e.g. Urban's comments about Herman after opening loss press conference, Herman going out of his way to jump in on recruiting camp that had OSU as lead dog) and pretty heavy direct competition on a few key recruits coupled with lots of speculation mainly based on Urban being unhappy with the credit Herman got for managing three QBs to National championship and perceived lack luster offensive post his departure. (Sorry NAS, you beat me to most of it)
  5. Agreed. I don't think Herman simply started calling people on Urbans's staff without clearing it with Urban first. I think that's a big coaching fraternity No No. I would guess that urban gave him either a hands off list, or ok to talk to list - and Herman evaluated through those options. Sounds like Capt Scumbag was made available and , I would guess Herman considered it, then remembered he was Capt Scumbag and moved on. Maybe the reason Urban is mad at Herman is that he asked Herman to do him a solid and take Smith and Herman said no f'n way - or maybe Urban is simply a Prick.
  6. Based on last nights game, not great. He was in for the second half and was pretty meh. That long KR by the boys was straight up the middle of the field partially because MJ ran around his block to the outside on kick coverage instead of holding his lane. Didn't see much impact at LB. There was a damning article from Cincy camp that they had to have him walk behind starter on the field as a "fourth" line backer cause he couldn't pick up his responsibilities by class room/tape/play book. Hope he figures it out and can make impact.
  7. WTF? I'm not sure Snook understands what domestic violence means...
  8. Duck, just order the Large....The guy said they don't have Litres.
  9. No - Halls at 121 and Glade - Mom & Pop Store with BBQ and pretty decent liquor selection. Their prices are good for a local shop and they seem to be pretty much first come / first serve with the hard to find stuff - at MSRP - Which I think means they are getting into heaven ahead of SPECS, TW, and most others...
  10. Weller Antique 107 - $27. I consider today a success.
  11. Anyone else somewhat shocked by this? Good for Garrett.. GilbertNewtonbackup
  12. what say you, masters of the pit, who's got packers on sale for 4th?
  13. Buddy fly fishing in Montana - Texts me last week and wants to know if I want some Blanton's - he had wandered into a liquor store that had 6 CASES. He bought two cases and delivered one to my front Door this afternoon. Happy Fathers Day indeed.
  14. That's a thing of beauty ...
  15. Anybody tried MB Roland - uncut and unfiltered single barrel? Picked up a bottle based on the always reliable "This looks like it should be excellent" packaging and the specs sales guy telling me it was great.
  16. Son said they had gotten one and only one bottle, and that he's not actually sure why the owner let him buy it, other than he said he was looking for father's day Blanton's and they didn't have any, so they offered him this. I had said the same - "go buy as many as they have".
  17. $100 bucks at bear creek liquor in colleyville.
  18. Son got me an early father's day present - bottle of 4 grain found in the wild in DFW!
  19. Yippe Ki Yay at Goody Goody Colleyville Saturday afternoon. $68.
  20. In DFW - Saw 3.29lb for prime packers at costco today. Not a sale I don't think. The Kroger 1.67 is for choice packers - great price.
  21. LOL, that's a trick question. There's no such thing as chicken fajitas - don't think chickens have a "belt"
  22. Almost all the skirt steak you can buy in the US is inside skirt. Most outside skirt is exported - long term Japanese purchasing contracts doing most of the damage and remainder goes to restaurants. Last time I saw outside skirt for sale was at Central Market and it was $19/pound.....for skirt steak....First time I ever had fajitas was in 1980 at the Round-Up in Pharr, Tx,. Hyatt made them famous in the early 80's in Austin.
  23. From 247Sports.com: "Texas A&M is one of those mid-tier programs that could join the cash cow Top 5 in the SEC ... if it starts winning big under Jimbo Fisher. Per Penn Live, "fans kept coming out (during the Kevin Sumlin era), but gross football revenue dipped more than 4 percent from 2015-16." The Aggies tied Kentucky with the steepest decline, a $3.3 million difference from the previous fiscal year." yes, 7 other SEC schools generated more football revenue than Aggy (2016-2017). Boycott expected on the mid-tier program comment.....
  24. Which one of you bastards is Clemsontig on that thread. Greatness.
