  1. Kind of a cop out, bud. At least voice an opinion to see if board does as you say. There are dickheads who do as you describe, still I'd like to read your thoughts. You're one of the first people I had a conversation with back on West Mall on Hornfans. It was good.
  2. Great stuff @Getafix. Here's a characterization that they always use: What does that mean exactly for an athletic department that has little achievement to point to for a quarter of a century? I feel like this must be their "we never lose, we just run out of time" or "we were outscored" for the 21st Century. We didn't lose, we underachieved against a team we're clearly better than. If you can't say the word "lose" out loud, how do you face it? I suppose underachieve would apply to a failure of their baseball team this year considering their ranking and expectations. I wonder if the realists doubting their head coach hire now voiced doubt at the time.
  3. Let's not forget the acquiescent who couldn't be moved to vote at all. A vast majority of Americans would not vote against this abortion of rational governance and plunge into tyranny. I have limited resources of what I can do to help someone. None of those resources will go to the betrayors of the republic. Respectfully, @InkaUtexas, it is their fault in the same sense that ignorance is no defense for breaking the law. These people need a harsh lesson in humility. They hold themselves above other citizens for the most superficial of reasons. They want pain and hardship for those other citizens or non-citizens who actually do contribute to the nation. We may all be in the shit in a year because of Trump. Even in the shit, I will have little consideration for those who voted us there or sat passively by.
  4. I thought of that after I posted. I was moved by the appearance that this clown was living over his head with the expectation all will be well despite his history. I'm generally a renter because of my own spotty history. It's cheaper and less of an anchor around your neck should shit hit the fan. The argument for houses is equity, but dumbass above can kiss that goodbye. I'm rarely consulted on investment strategies.
  5. Everyone else except the wetbacks, negroes, queers, liberal baby-eaters, and intellectuals. What kind of dumbass buys a house with that spotty employment history? Not only am I unemployed, but I'm giving money away to the bank until they make me homeless. You voted for hate, now you're asking for love. As stated above, eat shit and die. It will reduce the surplus population and create a more favorable job market.
  6. That is encouraging, I suppose. Will this revolt change the reasons they actually voted for Trump? As I said earlier (everybody cares about that!), they feel betrayed because Trump isn't focusing on what they hate. They'll find someone better at doing that.
  7. I would try to open a chain of Asian fried chicken drive-thrus if I were a VC (venture capital not Viet Cong). An appetizer of chicken wings at just about any Asian restaurant is better than most US chicken drive-thrus. I think they use hotter oil for quick, crispy frying. I'll sell this idea for a new car. And a case of beer. And a chair. Takers?
  8. It's remarkable the way they talk down to other Texas colleges who have been more successful than they have been.
  9. S.E.C. schedule/grind/night games!/means more. And don't forget! Last season they were one win away from being in the SEC championship game. Juggernaut ('til November).
  10. Okay. One last time. The GOP is a criminal organization. The Dems are a political organization. To adapt that to dogs and basketball: The Dems are on a basketball court warming up. The other "team" that shows up to play is comprised of dogs that flood the gym and kill all the Dems. Do you call a political organization to fight a criminal one? No. Do you blame the basketball team for being surprised by a pack of dogs at a gym? No. As pointless as it is to blame the Dems for a wild dog outbreak, it's almost moreso to expect a criminal organization to break omertà to vote in uncriminal ways. Today, on CNN, who was responsible for the deck chairs on the Titanic? We'll talk to our panel after this message about questioning the medications your doctor is providing.
  11. Don't forget that the lies are telling people what they want to hear. Somebody else is to blame. We'll be respected. We'll return to that nostalgic place that never really existed. It will all be paid for by someone else. You're very good people. Envied even. It's a sweet song. So what if there are a few sour notes in the re-singing? In fact, sing it again while I go back to sleep.
  12. So far so good. It's our only chance! Of course, we want this! exclaimed Alberts. Beside the sacred grass is a vineyard where the grapes of wrath are grown. An accompanying photo lest we forget: Why is bigger brands in quote marks above the glorious photo? Who are these so-called "bigger brands?" Huh? Pshaw!
  13. Got a little wordsmith'n to share with ya Aggies. Whooop! Kicking off with a double entendre. Nice! 1 I bet the Chamber of Commerce can't weight wait to get their hands on that slogan, Olin! 2 Extra girth ('nother double entendre there, ol' buddy?) leads to trump card. Not sure you've got a great handle on the various uses of the term girth or what a trump card is. Stop drinking beers with Brauny (but, he's soooo dreamy). 3 In case readers missed it in the headline. Milk that motherfucker! Depending upon which type of girth your referring to, that few pounds can be a pretty big deal. Otherwise....who cares? Olin presses for precision. Investigative reporter stuff. Think of all the words you could have saved by saying approximately or around 180. Useful words, Olin. Useful words. We narrow down which girth is meant. What follows is extensive family size history. Fortunately, Olin ties it all together in the very next paragraph. I see Olin made William's annual editorial staff meeting about constructing the annual rollercoaster: Just a few hurdles to clear, notes our good friend: Start engraving the Heisman! Look at the juggernaut he'll be directing: Rolling. Ball. Of. Butcher. Knives. 1 Inspires fear in somebody, no doubt. 2 Just ask those Bowling Green Seniors! 3 Terrifying. Poor Olin. Come here, pig. Have some lip gloss. I love the way this paragraph just slowly, inevitably deflates. Fully maximize! Makes sense it'd be different. At least to some extent. It was a good decision to delete the ah, fuck at the end. Has Olin forgotten his opening double entendre as he drifted off into fantasy land about the Aggie offense? No. Not our man. Bring it on home, Olin, as only you and the cheesiest mid-century sports writers can do.
  14. Persuasion is a dead letter with cultists. I believe abduction and reprogramming are the usual method of attempt. Welcome to your first day of re-education! Only it will be us instead of the dedicated cult. I think the pain theory of turning MAGA against Trump is the most viable short of the military. Thing is, they'll just want someone who really focuses on non-white, non-hetero, non-idiotic targets. Trump has said this was the last election and that nothing is illegal if you're saving the country. How it goes: He invokes state of emergency to "delay" elections. He continues thumbing his nuts and spewing outrageous idiocy while the succession planners set it all up for the real tyranny post-Trump. With any luck, the humans are all distracted by the melting earth, rampant famine, and plagues. As I've been surprised to ponder since before Trump's first insurrection: Where does the Army stand? Bayonets for thee or me?
  15. Thanks, I'm now embarrassed about my post. Compliments on your civility here.
  16. Please demonstrate wit or the ability to come up with something fresh. You likely don't grasp the irony of you writing the above after you dully said that what I was doing with Rex. Nice graphics, though.
  17. Start what? It's the climate thread. I don't engage in pointless argument. Maybe mind your own business or try to know what you're talking about.
  18. I didn't know what you meant by Greta. I'm a Greta, then. The below is true: She's worth a thousand of me and some high multiple of that of you. I suppose you dismiss her because she was just a girl when this started, and manly manful men don't want to have anyone think they could ever adopt the words of a female. Fuck you. Fuck your EROI. Fuck your devotion to obtuseness. Fuck your part in dragging down the republic. Fuck your face, fuckwad.
  19. We're trying to work up enthusiasm for the nominees. Sad that this thread is way down on page 2, but not surprising. Fuck the studios for not making a little more investment in quality. Saw Emilia Perez last night. Fabulous feat of imagination and filmmaking. I had no idea Zoe Saldaña had such talent. I was moved. I know there's some hubub about one of the leads political comments. That really shouldn't affect the judgment of the film, but it likely will. And what the hell is Saldaña doing nominated for supporting actress? It's her movie as far as I can see. Should be best actress.
  20. Here's a bigger question for you: What is the connection between denying science and global warming? I guess there was no world prior to fossil fuels. How could there be without individual vehicles carrying tens of millions of people to and from the same place everyday? No jet skis, motorboats, snowmobiles, power lawnmowers, leafblowers, ATVs? Existence of a world is impossible without that vital stuff.
