Trader Joe’s and Sprouts were out of eggs, so I went to a local Asian supermarket that always has eggs. MFers wanted $15 for a dozen organic eggs.
They were $7.50 less than 2 weeks ago.
Whenever I get mad about paying the 10% state income tax, I remember that I live in southern California and not in a shithole SEC state (not blaming those of you here, but objectively, Texas has let shit politicians turn it into a failed state).
Still up 12% in the past month and 175% in the past 6 months.
People probably bought thinking Peter Thiel ducking the donald's dick would bring in more business.
I guess it's not going to work out.
This one is a bit of both pleasing and surly.
Grocery stores here now have compostable bags for fruits and vegetables. I use these in my kitchen for fruit peels, organic waste, so I can dump these directly into my yard waste can (yes they allow kitchen organic stuff). I'm trusting these are better than plastic bags.
OTOH, they are pretty flimsy and you can poke a hole in them fairly easily and don't want a chance against pears, carrots, sweet potatoes and anything slightly pointy.
Watched Margin Call on Prime last night. I was riveted within the first 10 minutes. Apparently they shot the movie in 17 days.

Synopsis - he doesn't know what to do next. Depressing.

I go to a church that focuses on God, our relationship with God, and spreading the good word. The pastors acknowledge division in the country, but otherwise does NOT talk about politics.
When I read shit like that in the previous post, I see why people fucking hate Christians.
Holy shit.

I'll summarize so you don't have to read the entire thing - Elon is doing God's work by cutting waste and benefiting people of the US and the world. He is taking on himself the fate, suffering, heartache, rejection... (my editorial) JUST LIKE JESUS! And we should be compassionate to those who lost their jobs and are suffering. Oh, and this ain't supposed to be political. Amen.
