  1. BottleRocket casa still kicking it old school 1970’s style. I spend all my free time sitting in the drink. Love it and couldn’t live without one.
  2. Yo moma so fat if she were a planet she would have other smaller planets orbiting around her!
  3. We just spent a few days in a river cabin rental in Leakey. This is the view from the backyard. I always take the long route from Austin through Hunt and Vanderpool.
  4. TwiceHorn - last year I decided I'd turn over my IRA to Fidelity to manage for a 1% fee. Otherwise I'd be in one of their accounts like the Fidelity Freedom 20xx (insert year here). Am I throwing 1% away unnecessarily? That's 1% of my account balance per year to be clear. My manager has called me twice since the Covid volatility and assured me that my account was outperforming the "whatever the hell comparison he was making" baseline. He's young and would likely be selling cars if not working for Fidelity.
  5. So just look for the yellow looking thing that’s shaped like an Indian arrow? I’ll be out in Leaky, TX this weekend and hopefully will be prime viewing.
  6. It’s not cool calling a 5 year old names by any means. But come on man, she pretends she’s a cat. Kind of setting herself up for that one. Sorry had a rough day. Enjoy your beer. You earned it.
  7. I’ve been looking at buying a used Jeep Wrangler for several months at Carvana and have noticed that about 95% have a status of pending sale. Is there a shortage of used cars due to C19 or something? What gives?
  8. It will become the $5,000 RV you originally sought. Full circle.
  9. Happy Birthday Wulaw. The whole year will be one long present. The kids are present. The wife is present. The dog is present. You are all present in that little space. Livin' the life. I think what you are doing is awesome.
  10. Dang. I wish I had seen this sooner. I just bought a 24” Dell from Staples for $75. But it only came with a power cord and HDMI delivered for free a day later. They made me put it on a credit card.
  11. Pos rep for the best thread title I've seen in a long time.
  12. In addition to wheelchair accessible toilet you might also want to think about a wheelchair accessible shower. This may necessitate making the entire bathroom a 'wet space' with floor drains.
  13. My FIL has a 5-600 acre ranch between Llano and Fredericksburg that goes back two generations. Three if you count my wife. He’s ‘retired’ now and runs about 100 pair cow/calf operation because it’s a passion of his. He leases to hunters which supplement the taxes and other expenses. We call it the ranch but he calls it home. He says that when I show up to help it’s like losing two good men.
  14. 20-Year-Old Robinhood Customer Dies By Suicide After Seeing A $730,000 Negative Balance. Like so many others, Kearns took up stock investing during the pandemic, signing up with Millennial-focused brokerage firm Robinhood, which offers commission-free trading, a fun and easy-to-use mobile app and even awards new customers free shares of stock. During the first quarter of 2020, Robinhood added a record 3 million new accounts to its platform. As the Covid-19 stock market swung wildly, Kearns had begun experimenting, trading options. His final note, filled with anger toward Robinhood, says that he had “no clue” what he was doing. In fact, a screenshot from Kearns’ mobile phone reveals that while his account had a negative $730,165 cash balance displayed in red, it may not have represented uncollateralized indebtedness at all, but rather his temporary balance until the stocks underlying his assigned options actually settled into his account. https://www.forbes.com/sites/sergeiklebnikov/2020/06/17/20-year-old-robinhood-customer-dies-by-suicide-after-seeing-a-730000-negative-balance/#72d305d71638
  15. My 17 year old nephew and his dad want to build an AR together and asked me for resources on where to start. This will be a plinking ranch rifle. I suggested they start at the Palmetto website to look at all the options and price ranges. How would you guys suggest they proceed. Neither know much about firearms except for basic range safety that they got in Boy Scouts. Money not really an object but I would guess $600 would be about the sweet spot.
  16. They are going to let kids that age out this year go next year without counting towards the crew/advisor ratio.
  17. I was hoping that the woman that was handed the brick from the car driving by would have said "Oh? You want me to throw bricks? Ok. I'll throw this brick" and commence to smash it through the car's windshield.
