  1. Heh
  2. Doesn't Call have a designated tackling coach? Their defense has been solid under Wilcox. Replacing one of our two WR coaches and/or Warehime with someone who can teach propper tackling technique might be beneficial (in addition to firing Orlando, of course).
  3. Riley certainly looks the part, but he doesn't have the skins those other two have. Regardless, he ain't coming here either.
  4. Cal hasn't broken 30 pts all season. They do play good defense though. Maybe we should look at their DC.
  5. Peterson lost to Cal this season. Gundy had one great season and can't beat OU. Patterson peaked five years ago. Saban and Swinney are the only sure-thing, championship caliber coaches in the country, and they aren't coming here. Despite last night's (and last week's) shit show, the program is in the best shape it's been since 2009. Herman made some shitty hires when he got here, and they're holding the program back right now, but I'm willing to give him this offseason before jumping off the train.
  6. He's gotta fire Orlando. Absolutely has to.
  7. At the very least, he has to be gone at the end of the season. Right? Right?!?!?
  8. Texas has sucked for the last decade. Everyone here is well aware of that. And yet, they have the conference's most recent NC and would probably have the two most recent if not for the McCoy injury. OU is 0-6 in their last six NC/playoff games. Had they only lost one or two (hell even three or four) of those games, then maybe I'd call them a juggernaut. But 0-6? Nah.
  9. Losing to other playoff teams doesn't mean they aren't any good. It means they aren't a "juggernaut." To put them in the same category as Bama is laughable.
  10. No, that's not bullshit. Recruiting rankings obviously don't mean everything, but they're a good indicator of overall talent level. We rank higher than them more often than not, and we regularly win head-to-head recruiting battles against them. Maybe they're better at evaluating and developing, but that still has nothing to do with "caring more."
  11. "Caring more" is a lame excuse. All that matters when it comes to on-field performance is talent and coaching. We out-recruit them more often than not, so if anything we should have a slight talent advantage. We lost because they had superior schemes on both sides of the ball.
  12. Phil's getting up there in age, and he already has more money than he could ever spend. I could see him saying fuck it and going all in.
  13. I'm for this in principle, but what's to stop Phil Knight from offering every top recruit a Nike deal if they sign with Oregon?
  14. Fundamentals aren't good either. We had 2 senior CB's last year and got torched by Maryland, OU twice, Ok St, WVU, and Tech. Basically every offense with a pulse. Far too often on deep balls our corners have no idea where the ball is and flail around hoping for the best. Saw it last year as well, thought not this bad. It's a trend.
  15. Orlando is _iaz redux. He's been figured out. He sucked last season and he appears to suck even more now. Jason Washington also seems like he sucks.
  16. Ra'Shaad Samples is like 8 years younger than Kelly.
  17. Didn't Hamm go like 0/15 on predictions one year? It seems like it would be statistically impossible to literally be wrong every single time, but here this idiot is.
  18. But I thought Robinson wasn't for sale? lol. This is the landscape. Either some boosters step forward, or we get left in the dust.
  19. Lol. The Pac 12 is terrible. Texas had 2 better wins last season than Washington has had in the last 3.
  20. I expect us to take a grad transfer and/or JUCO on the O-line every year, and we should. O-linemen typically aren't ready for meaningful snaps until their 3rd year in the program, so why take 5 high schoolers every year and end up with 10 guys on scholarship who aren't contributing? It makes much more sense to take 3-4 and supplement with guys who can play right away. There's also the fact that the O-line is arguably the most difficult position group to evaluate (although this staff seems pretty good at it). With grad transfers/JUCOs, their ceiling may not be as high, but you at least know what you're getting. OU has been doing it for years.
  21. People were saying the same thing about the in-state OL in the 2019 class...
  22. Shepherd may be a likely bust, but he's still worth the risk. It's not like he'll be taking a roster spot for 4 years if he doesn't pan out.
  23. Lol. I'm sure Kingsbury appreciates Mack pulling his name out of his ass.
  24. Did anyone not think they would score?
  25. Is Greg Robinson still alive?
