  1. I only flipped to cnn during commercials. Hank must not be hip to streaming in far away lands. giving up a chance to convert an oil tanker to propane for his love for Texas. Peggy: can we give the new wife to Bobby? peggy: I’ve been considered a 5 all my life!
  2. I think he voiced it. He sure sounded like him.
  3. I’m guessing that Lady Bird has passed on. Another sad loss on this show.
  4. I grew up in a time I knew or worked with a lot of Vietnam vets. The experience was quite different depending on where they served and the branch. One got to DaNang and was immediately sent to be a quartermaster outside Bangkok; he reupped for a second tour as he was making money from graft, had an apartment with a live in maid/cook/wjore. Said he would have done that the rest of his life. That store crew, when I was a rookie at 23, was several infantrymen who had it rough at Hue during Tet, one had been a tunnel rat and was the most fucked up, on had tough duty in the delta. One was a gunner on a Huey and was terrified the whole time; he saw a ton of carnage. They didn’t talk about it much, but more than the ww2 / Korea vets I knew. The stories had more to do with down time of weed and heroin and women.
  5. So funny. They were in paradise in the Aramco compound and find Texas is now all fucked up. e1…pause on the Selling Arlen commercial on Nancy’s laptop with her and Redcorn. Look at the comments…hilarious Will rewatch e1 with wife and start the process.
  6. I hear the buffet at Excalibur is even better than circus circus or Ellis Island. Spaghetti is and Bergeron.
  7. Ah mom! My headgear!
  8. Agreed. I would eat McDonald’s or burger king over shake shack. Talk about an overhyped New York export.
  9. has anyone spotted this in the wild?
  10. Used to be you got a bowl of escabesche at most TexMex joints. I wanted heavy onions and carrots, less pickled japa.
  11. Actually no. I misspoke. A work colleague who invited us over for dinner with him and wife. It was when we lived in Colorado and wife was wanting to make some friends. Cottage cheese pizza crust killed that notion. Who the fuck invites folks over to feed em that shit? We had to stop and pick up Taco Bell on the way home. one of my reps invited us over in Colorado for “steak”. We arrived and chatted a bit, his wife said, “you need to put THE steak on the grill”. Huh? He came out on the deck with a single strip and put it on the grill. Four adults, two teenage boys. My wife could have polished off that steak. We were issued our meager ration. Had to stop for burgers on the way home. Who the fuck does that? This dude made big money too.
  12. Bend was our favorite weekend getaway when we lived in Portland. It’s been over 20 years since we were there and before the Cali invasion. But Deschutes Black Butte Porter there at the brewery was my favorite beer in my life.
  13. Sounds like he’s tired of the grind of the barbecue biz and now has a family to enjoy. It’s a hard segment to make profit it regardless of volume. It ran Derek Allen and his hot wife out of the biz, and the Heims sold out. The Heims are moving to a simpler concept that should be more profitable: pizza and booze. I had a buddy that had a couple of simple Simon pizza stores a few years ago. All pick up business. He’d do specials on Tuesdays and wednesdays of a large pepperoni for $5. His cost all in was like 86 cents. I’m sure the math is slightly different but it’s still a no brainer category.
  14. A buddy of mine invited me to dinner at his place. Wife and I were served “pizza”. He spread a tub of cottage cheese on a pizza pan and baked it until it made a “ crust”. He then put pizza shit on it. A jar of great value spaghetti sauce, some pepperoni, some preshredded cheese. It was horrific.
  15. Justified start to finish my kitchen rules australia all the trainwrecks all the Netflix sports inside series like F1, full swing, the nascar one, quarterback, Tour de France, etc countdown in the eye of the storm
  16. I rewatched the last three eps. Its really just shit writing. I hope it doesn’t get renewed. Leave it be. All he wanted the whole show was his vapid life back with his shitty kids and cheating wife and stupid friends. The guy is throwing money around like crazy and he won’t get the trunk fixed on his Maserati? Please.
  17. “I hate food!” Those had to be the ugliest women in the whole of lingerie retail. That one has a chin implant worse than Jay Leno. Fucking Sgt Hulk right there. The ineptitude of fucking Frayser was evident thru that whole episode. Such a fucking moron.
  18. The greatness of Jim McKay was evident thru that horrific event. He’s an iconic voice of my youth.
  19. I guess if it’s a roundworm you’re right. I don’t think you can kill a flatworm. They can live on the sun.
  20. When you’re 16 and working the 5pm-2am shift you have no thoughts other than “what motherfucker just ordered 6 Mac’s at 130 am and now I gotta fuck up my grill?” I was thinking about the beer I’d be drinking as soon as the door locked. Those Mac’s probably contributed to his severely impacted colon. Those tuinals kill any motility.
  21. beef ragu with pappardelle.
  22. The actual way Elvis liked this sandwich, as made hundreds of times by his longtime maid, was on regular white bread but griddled in butter. A lot of butter, 2 sticks for three sandwiches. It also had no jelly. Just peanut butter, banana, and bacon. TCB, baby. i did make Big Macs for Elvis late one night at a McDonald’s in Memphis near Graceland. He was on his big Gold Wing, and didn’t know it was him until the girl at the window screamed. He drove away with his 6 burgers and fries. Should have kept the spatula.
  23. She is better in her Dish with Kish show, with Stephanie Cmar as her sidekick. Much more relaxed.
  24. You got what you got; you can cut a layer off that top section but maybe you like that bread meat ratio.
  25. BTW, the Pecos cantaloupes this season are exceptionally kickass. We’ve eaten a dozen or so in July. Very sweet and great texture.
