  1. Wife wanted a Reuben. So made her one. Boars head pastrami, Swiss, kraut.
  2. I love Hooker’s. Oklahoma onion burgers, Indian fry bread tacos, and good hot dogs. And certainly not as expensive as Gusto’s. Those are true smash burgers in that the patties are thin with a heavy crust. The pic is a triple. I got the gusto burger as they make it , which is gusto sauce, carmelized onions, best maid pickles. Next time I’ll get it with mustard, pickles, raw onions. As I had it the burger was great but very rich yogis is another good burger. Love the panthers city burger too.
  3. Tupelo is actually a nice town in the NE Mississippi forests. It was the “motion furniture” capital of the world with tons of recliner companies with factories there. That $99 camo rocker recliner was invented by a dude at one of them. kings is absolutely crazy. I thought it was a mockumentary but it’s not. Bet that ex-wife would have been lots of fun back in the day as the singing sex-century.
  4. It’s great but they’ve yet to equal the one on Tootsie. That should be required viewing of every kid in Texas schools. Her story is the story of Texas.
  5. Question re your daughter. Does she enjoy helping you with the car and enjoy the car? I just ask because I’ve become a believer in classic cars as a family heirloom that tell our stories. My 9 year old granddaughter loves helping her dad working on his 03 Excursion project and her mom’s 24 Bronco. She wants my 99 4Runner for her first car and wants to trick it out so she can hunt deers with it. But right now she wants to paint it purple with a big gold unicorn but with a lift kit and big shoes. I just wish I had my mom’s 68 or my 70 442 or my dad’s 71 Ford pu. Your car is looking great. Love that red. Buddy in high school had a 69 with a 351c that he hottodded up. My favorite mustang fascia.
  6. Huh? Call me Mr Milquetoast. I have few opinions about anything. when it comes to food my opinions are only regarding what I eat. Or the compromises one accepts thru 42 years on marriage. You like it then be you and eat it. Ketchup on your well done A5 wagyu at Nick and Sam’s? Grape jelly in your migas? Go for it. I’m a foodways libertarian except for a few specific issues. Like the evilness of kidney beans. Mushrooms suck. A few others.
  7. If the guisada was leftovers and not purposely made fit that dish I think it’s a more reasonable use of available dish elements. But i don’t make the rules.
  8. That’s a lot of wasabi
  9. I don’t know. I think we need a ruling. It’s not paper but doesn’t look like a plate. Looks like a container cover or some kind of cookie platter from a gift basket. SA please clarify.
  10. This is the type of Texas resourceful ingenuity that should be celebrated with at least a roadside historical plaque in your front yard. Fucking brilliance
  11. I make these as pancakes. I add jalapeños, corn, and green opinions then use as a base for pulled pork or brisket or leftover fried chicken.
  12. Finally went to Gusto’s Burgers off Magnolia. It’s a mighty fine smashburger and the fries exceptional. Huge beer selection.
  13. While Shanahan says he’s cutting him. I’d expect drunk Jerry to trade a 4 for him.
  14. My buddy the orthopedic surgeon says that’s a pretty wrecked knee. Lost his rookie year, 9 or 10 games this season, miss next season, and then hopefully his 4th season on what will be a prove it deal. A lot don’t make it back. Damn it I hate it for him. When he didn’t get up I knew he’d wrecked the knee. Nearly puked. If there is anyone that can beat the odds and will that knee to heal properly it will be Agent Zero. Loved watching him play and develop. Fuck!
  15. Sure would like the crawfish gravy and okra salad recipes….
  16. So any reviews of the bacon blaze. I’m not hip to the cream cheese and usually don’t like bacon on burgers.
  17. Sark is not putting QE in position to perform to his game with his maintaining his overreliance on the horizontal game with slow developing plays and useless fakes. Sark has a blind spot like many “offensive geniuses” in that they love their whiteboards more than the simple things.
  18. This absolutely reflects the the emotions of the head coach. They were nervous because the coach was nervous. Reflected in the terrible playcalling and red zone failures, the special teams fails. The team wasn’t mentally prepared for this stage. Kirby won this game with better coaching.
  19. I like cornbread in many forms from fried mush to sweet versions that are like cake and all in between. Your hard line on the matter is ridiculous. WTF should you care what folks eat?
  20. Burt got the yips. You can’t know until the big game if he’s got em. I would have left him in Atlanta.
  21. You do it thru constant drilling of fundamentals. As a squad. Accountability dictated by the group. One dude fucks up the team pays the price. Does Sark even have a 7 man sled on the practice field? Do they spend much time on drills vs running these complex plays in practice.
  22. I think QE stays in college another year.
  23. True but You are forgetting the shitty special teams from the monkeyfucking coach. And stupid penalties killing big plays. And no blocking on that pick.
  24. Sark is addicted to his slow developing neato plays. Terrible calls on that last series or two. Ewers having a fake left, right, handoff on a play against this rush. Dumb.
  25. Pray to mary and beg her to tell God that Horns need to win.
