  1. No. I think the idiocracy is so strong in this country that that the label "progressive" is problematic. I think because of this idiocracy progressives do need to focus and simplify the message, and redefine their approach to law enforcements' trampling on civil rights and creating equality of opportunity without focusing on "identity" outside of economic status. Just because anyone with a brain knows that Black Lives Matter doesn't mean the term hasn't been turned into a weight by the rabble.
  2. I think Talarico has a fighting chance. I think Nathan Johnson for AG has a better chance. If these guys can get some decent press I think they can close the deal. And Colin Allred should have stayed put when he was a US rep.
  3. Hang on, I'm not paying attention - who is being runoft? I really am a big tent guy and I'll take anyone who will vote against GOP. I personally think the progressives are the folks who are fucking things up, but I think part of it is a definitional problem. I think "progressive" is a bit of a broken definition. If I am in an anti-progressive mood, the definition has too much identity politics and defund the police woven in. If I am in a pro-progressive mood, it's about a color blind radically progressive tax system and universal health care.
  4. I'm all in. This is what the Dems need. A muscular Christian.
  5. Or, they can just harass women service members and work out three times a week, where they can harass women service members some more. By the time these guys get back Hickam Field they are going to have digested this as a good thing.
  6. Get some trim. Not "a" trim.
  7. Jesus. I just quit my job. I've got enough for a year. If I live like Mahatma Gandhi, I'm fine. My accountant says that I did this at a very bad time. My stocks are down. I, uh, I-I-I'm cash-poor or something. I got no cash flow. I'm not liquid or, uh, something's not flowing. I know it. But they got a language all their own, those guys.
  8. I've already moved past this Charlie Kirk guy and I advise all y'all to do so as well.
  9. We don't. Why should they?
  10. Yeah, but clarified why I haven't listened to Devo since 1980. Give me the Chrissie Hynde post Kent State trajectory over the Mothersbaugh trajectory. Although the Wes Anderson stuff makes it pretty close.
  11. Nobody does stupid like this franchise. It was so moronic and I enjoyed it.
  12. Bored of Piece. When you got low T.
  13. I'd rather have these in charge:
  14. Camp Swamp Road from the Journal is a pretty interesting podcast. Not exactly on point but does capture how the gun culture will warp everything, and particularly stand your ground laws. I'm enjoying it, but it sure feels like a different America.
  15. I'm pretty sure most of them have, and share Charlie Kirk's viewpoint on the value of freedom to own an arsenal over the collateral damage. We need to stop acting like we can change peoples' values in any way other than our own behavior -- to be examples ourselves. It's only transactional if you are dealing with someone who has values that aren't yours.
  16. So comes on down to unpainted Arizona to get the finest selection in fixtures and appointments for your bathroom, bedroom, boudoir!
  17. Does that patio area get crazily hot? My wife axed one of my reservations because she thought it was too early and we would have been out there.
  18. I know. That was crazily dated. I'm ancient. I was on the freshman roster when Army Brat was playing varsity.
  19. I remember being scared out of my wits at this back in 1991 before you were born. Mimi Rogers had a vibe.
  20. And pretty safe that leftist will respond just as law enforcement wants them to.
  21. Huh. Guess I need to learn a bit about this Trump guy.
  22. Ha, I was going to mention the lone remaining plus in my original post but setting it up for you was better.
