  1. Just keep hitting those freefrows, big fella.
  2. I'm torn. I'm feeling that the Maga sympathizers are feeling nervous about what Trump is doing. (Not MAGA, they are all in no matter). So 10 Dems decide voting for it is, to them, doing the right thing. I do think it's a close call. I'd want my rep to vote against it.
  3. My initial thought, but kids aren't wearing speedos/thongs.
  4. But Jeffries talks funny so I kinda like him.
  5. "The lynchpin of [Trump's] foreign policy is dishonor." - Jonah Goldberg (on Sam Harris' Waking Up podcast.
  6. Don't kid us MIA. You wear track suits because you're a serious runner.
  7. "And they'll know, we are Christians by our love, by our love. And they'll know -oh we are Cristians by our love." There are so many reasons why passivity is cowardice (and I'm as guilty as anyone) but for the last decades one could at least accept an argument that the business of government wasn't charity or love or care, no matter how silly that argument was. People will try to fill in the gap if their neighbors are wanting, sure, I get the argument, even though human nature kind of proves otherwise. But when the laws are clearly only about engendering and acting on hate -- most of the US wasn't enacting those laws since LBJ and the Civil Rights Era. (Okay, I'm a bit hair-trigger these days. Just because this probably won't pass doesn't mean that I should be mad at myself for remaining so passive.)
  8. I'm probably the last one to realize this, but listening to a Jonah Goldberg interview, and his point is that the idea that tariffs is just stupid is well known, put the purposes of this is to increase the traffic to Mara Lago and thus the multimillions in graft. No better way to get bribes and post term rewards than individual industry reps coming in to beg for exemptions.
  9. No, unless RT can make those crazy ari sacs open up.
  10. Terry being interviewed. I wish he'd pull out a trumpet and start sachmo-ing.
  11. Beth Van Duyne is getting an earful from her least favorite swarthy constituent, let me tell you....
  12. Everyone has their own "new low". Here's mine. Although in fairness, "making dishonor the lynchpin of our foreign policy" (Jonah Goldberg) is hard to beat. House Republicans block Congress' ability to challenge Trump tariffs | Reuters
  13. Maybe the crack suicide squad can be the Jesus Murphys.
  14. Viet Cong is a cool name. So what would I be if I decide to don black pajamas, sandals, and try to help Canada? I vote for Jesus Murphy's, Bloody Caesars, or Beavertails. 6. Mickey / Texas mickey A mickey is a small bottle of alcohol that you tried to hide in your jeans when heading out to a party. No, really. While a mickey is actually a small bottle of alcohol (375mL or 13oz), the bottle itself is shaped to fit in your pocket which dates all the way back to the 19th century, thanks to the people who got a little too rowdy and had to be more conspicuous about their drinking habits. 31. Jesus Murphy This is a fun Canadian slang word that’s used as a safe expletive, as if changing The Lord’s last name makes the phrase any less blasphemous. Extra points if you add a little bit of an English or Irish accent when you say it! 43. Five-hole Since you’re in Canada you’ll be exposed to more hockey than you probably signed up for, so you might as well learn some of the sports lingo! You’ll often hear players say, “I scored through the five-hole” which means they managed to score a goal between the goalie’s legs. 47. Beavertail This is one of the best desserts you can try while you’re in this beautiful country. Don’t worry, Canadians don’t actually eat the tails of their National animal. This dessert is made of deep fried dough that’s shaped and stretched into a long oval, similar to the shape of a beaver’s tail! 51. Bloody Caesar Similar to a Bloody Mary, in Canada a Bloody Caesar (or caesar) is considered the unofficial cocktail of the country. The difference being the use of clamato juice rather than tomato juice. Yep, it’s base is a mixture of tomato and clam juice. Give’r a go if you’re brave enough.
  15. Honda Fit liberal here. I can fit four dead wild hogs in the back with the seats down.
