  1. Much worse than a Rigid tool calendar....
  2. I think they had to send them in. No picture but at one time merchants had a phone book sized list of stolen cards and were supposed to check any card purchase against the list before allowing them to charge.
  3. Think they are illegal now but in the 80's a girl I knew had a German Shepard/Wolf breed. It was not an accident but deliberately bred that way. Very friendly but I remember it having a rear end that looked like it took steroids.
  4. IIRC is was about ten years after the divorce
  5. Took 3 months to go look at the meter? Also if they were just making it up like the reports said, then your actual reading should get you a large refund
  6. Nike getting a bargain with Alabama
  7. The other day at work someone at 1/8 (yes 1/8) not 1/4 or 1/2 but 1/8 of a doughnut. Basically cut off one small bite and left the rest for someone else.
  8. Good point - they're off the list. This reminded me that back in college I was told by the manager of McDonalds that the policy was two packs of ketchup for a sandwich and one for french fries. No exceptions. That was in the 80's and obviously has changed but this crap isn; t new.
  9. Very similar to the ketchup policy for take out. they seem to keep the packets in the safe next to the cash.
  10. Yep - some seem to only like Reed if he's kicking butt in the Ryder Cup... I hate to admit that I like the guy because he got to the tour the absolute hard way. He won something like 5 or 6 Monday qualifiers just to be allowed to tee it up and then won a tournament to get status. Irregardless of his college mess I can't think of another well known pro that started with Monday qualifiers and went from there.
  11. And don't turn around and hell "HI" to your friend "Jack"
  12. 14 - LOL... Guess they had to keep it at least two feet on the green
  13. I agree,, Was replying and remmebered someone else thought it was him
  14. Front left is Henry Conte?, Henry Silva is left of Jack Palance. Not Don Rickles but no idea who edit - should have looked at whole thread before replying
  15. Is 12 actually on the green on did they just put it in the creek since that's where most of the tee shots will wind up?
  16. The "Holy Shit" thread is farther down the page.
  17. Probably not a popular opinion but think, as an "outsider" it's easy to ask - Where would Texas have been in the 2000's with a different coach? And part of that is naming the different coach. It's too easy to say he stayed too long etc... but his record is pretty darn good including a MNC. Obviously he had some huge blowout losses against rivals but a whole lot of schools would take his record over who they had. Trying hard to remember who else was available back in 1997 and not coming up with a lot. You can always wish you hired Saban instead of MSu grabbing him around that time but he was not well known. Stoops was actually the "hot" assistant but he was still at Florida when Brown was hired. Not coming up with a lot of names that would have been a better choice in 1997. All of the above in the poll is an acceptable answer to me
  18. OP should have known better...
  19. One the more interesting parodies was National Lampoon in early 70's. VW had run some sort of commercial that showed a VW Beetle floating on water. Lampoon created a parody that said something like "If Ted Kennedy drove a VW he would be president". VW sued and won..
  20. It was tremendous and that's from someone who lived the original movie. This rocked because of the cast and because they did it live - I was amazed how well they were without a net amd how a lot of the songs sounded almost the same as the album. The choreography was amazing.
  21. One more from 1968... I was too young to remember it but 1968 was just an bitch of a year. Literally you never knew what was going happen from month to month. January - LBJ decides not to run March - McCarthy picks up momentum in primaries April - Assassination of King May- RFK wins primaries and gain momentum June - RFK - assasinated August - Democratic convention riots November - Nixon elected December - Apollo circles moon
  22. 20 years ago on Labor day weekend. Dropped over to Grand National at Auburn on a spur of the moment - need to play some golf. Walked on and shot 81 from the blues. Don;t remember anything spectacualr but obviously I didn't screw up either. Wish I could play that well now but time marches on.
