  1. The Clippers schedule down the stretch is brutal, too. Every team left is in the playoff / play-in hunt other than Portland. 74 Thu, Mar 23, 2023 10:30p Oklahoma City Thunder 75 Sat, Mar 25, 2023 10:30p New Orleans Pelicans 76 Mon, Mar 27, 2023 10:30p Chicago Bulls 77 Wed, Mar 29, 2023 8:00p @ Memphis Grizzlies 78 Fri, Mar 31, 2023 8:00p @ Memphis Grizzlies 79 Sat, Apr 1, 2023 8:30p @ New Orleans Pelicans 80 Wed, Apr 5, 2023 10:00p Los Angeles Lakers 81 Sat, Apr 8, 2023 4:00p Portland Trail Blazers 82 Sun, Apr 9, 2023 3:30p @ Phoenix Suns And I've said this before about that Clippers/Thunder trade, but it looks worse on paper for the Clips than it actually is because it also essentially netted them Kawhi. Still, they've got jack shit to show for it so far and OKC is set up well for the future. The Thunder are going to need some things to break just right for them to really maximize those picks but they've got multiple shots to be drafting in the lottery while still competing. At some point, though, they just aren't going to have the roster space or enough development minutes to keep cycling in rookies.
  2. I watched his press conference. It sounded just like every one of his post game press conferences from last year: hyper defensive, condescending, bullying, borderline incoherent, tangential, warp speed stream of consciousness deluge of cliches. I think my favorite part was when he told the press to go watch film. He's beyond lucky to have such a cadre of media lap dogs there. They were throwing him softballs and he was still defensive as hell. I can't imagine how bad he would be if he had to deal with a real, combative media that would hold his feet to the fire.
  3. Thanks for the numbers, but the game has changed a ton since a lot of those guys played other than Lawrence. Did Mahomes redshirt? His numbers weren't too far off from Ewers in a 7 game sample. Mahomes 105 185 56.8% 1547 8.4 16 4
  4. That had to be the biggest WTF game of the season yesterday. On the heels of blowing a 23 point lead and losing to Memphis, they come back from down 24 on Atlanta and win. They're still up 3 on Charlotte in the win column with 11 games to play thankfully. It shouldn't make a shit. It better not make a shit. The Hawks are a mess. Pushing all of your chips in for Dejounte Murray just so you can go .500 and dogfight your way into the play in was a move for sure. They still have one more year of him on a good contract and then they're going to have to dig into their piggy bank. Or decide to blow the whole thing up. Those picks and swaps are going to be valuable. A couple of Spurs observations: 1) Since they traded Poeltl, Zollins is putting up 16.5 and 9, with 4 apg on 49% shooting and 42% from 3. In the last 7 games it's been 19/8/4 on 54% and 50% from 3. He's finally healthy and producing. And he's a plus defender as well. That was a fantastic low-risk/high-reward signing. It's going to be interesting to see what they do with him contract-wise. He's only 25 and has a year left on a $7 million deal. 2) Devin Vassell is averaging 19 ppg for the season at a 49/39/79 clip. I continue to bemoan them passing on Tyrese Halliburton for him, but Vassell has blossomed into a very good player. They probably aren't bottom three in the league if they didn't bench him for tanking purposes he had been healthy all season. 3) This team would be really fun next year with some lottery luck.
  5. The end of that Lakers Mavs game omg. AD with a brain dead foul up 4 and then the buzzer beater from Kleber. Critical fuck up in the playoff chase.
  6. When you put it that way we should probably also just go ahead and ignore all of the coaches and front office guys who came up under him and the culture he installed that about 75% of the league has tried to replicate. He just had stacked assistants as well I guess? Clearly he's just a no talent scrub who lucked into Tim Duncan and then coasted the rest of the way through his otherwise pedestrian career.
  7. Great game. Entertaining, the mavs looked utterly incompetent and most importantly spurs take the L. TST.
  8. Kenny Powers. The answer to what will ctj complain about next is Kenny Powers.
  9. Clemson and FSU will never be added to the sec. There is a longstanding gentlemens agreement to not add schools in a state where an sec school already exists.
  10. Is 33 in a half good? I think that's probably pretty good. We really need these two teams to face each other in the playoffs with both of them at full strength.
  11. They are giving the Suns the full experience tonight. It may tighten up in the second half but the Warriors are still terrifying when Thompson and Curry are shooting like this.
  12. Both inactive tonight but you're not wrong.
  13. They should make the scooter out of the black box too while they're at it.
  14. Oklahoma is annoying, but they are one of the most storied college football programs in the country with multiple national championships. Texas A&M is known for sheep fucking. I'm still rooting for the meteor when any of the above parties are involved.
  15. Watching Draymond and Dillon Brooks go at each other over social media gives me the same feels as watching Oklahoma play A&M. Ain't nothing to root for except injuries and earthquakes.
  16. I used this $13.00 lasagna pan from Amazon for mine and it worked pretty damn well. I would be interested to see if there's much difference between it and the other "real" Detroit pan options out there. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0026RHHXS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
  17. Saw this elsewhere: The Arraign Man Had a buddy who played ball at a mid major. He was Shawn Kemp's host on a recruiting visit. The very first thing out of Shawn Kemp's mouth to him after meeting him, "When do I get my nut sucked?"
  18. They had to give it to somebody. The coach who should have won it looked like a tone deaf asshat subsequent to one of his players being charged with murder while another of his players delivered the weapon.
  19. I agree with you in principle, but the randomizer doesn't make it possible to put the chefs on even footing. I suppose they could all have the same randomizer but who wants to watch 32 chefs use the same ingredients? That would get old, fast. If they had a non-elimination round for seeding, that would work I suppose, but there's probably not much drama in that.
