  1. We'd probably take both if we could. Keep everyone fresh and active.
  2. Having money shouldn't preclude someone from enjoying things they used to enjoy when they had less money. Keep it simple
  3. The one in Sugar Land and the one in Westpark have very good talent. The Pasadena and Webster locations, not so much. But the Grande Top Shelf margaritas are very strong and voluminous for around $8. Good place for a cheap date back in the day.
  4. You are doing Cheddar's wrong then. The food is horrible, but the drinks are fantastic (and strong).
  5. If it doesn't need to be made public, there is likely a good reason why. The recruit is likely committed elsewhere and one they've been trying to flip for a while. No idea on why the portal visitor would be kept quiet unless it could impact someone currently committed or already on the team. Sark and co seem to be pretty open with their guys about who they pursue though.
  6. Weak leadership and poor culture makes it easier for influential figures within the organization to become pseudo-leaders. Elko isn't a needle-mover in any way right now.
  7. Comparing Maalik to Quinn and other exceptional QBs isn't fair. The kid hasn't played much and he has a lot of development left in him. Look at what Tate Rodemaker and other backup QBs have looked like around the country. It's unfortunate that QB room was too healthy for him to have much of a path here, but he's got plenty of ability to go somewhere and be the guy. If you can do something some of the time, you can do it all of the time. A team with a strong running game that allows him to make easy throws downfield or shallow is probably the way to go. He's probably a guy you don't want throwing more than 25 times a game unless he can increase that 55% completion percentage. God speed MM, and hook'em
  8. How do their OL pressure numbers compare nationally and maybe against our schedule? Just watching some UW games, I think Penix is very very good in the pocket.
  9. I'll be shocked shocked if Burke isn't a big part of the defensive gameplan against UW. His length will cause problems for RT Rosengarten if they get matched up and he can get it hands up to help defend the quick game stuff they do. Penix is a lefty, so Rosengarten is his blindside protector.
  10. Johnson makes the most sense because of the A&M ties. I doubt we continue to go after Nolen enough to bring him in for a visit. Anyone on that screenshotted list could be considered a top transfer portal prospect.
  11. Literally just two years ago, Washington went 4-8. Their losses were to vaunted teams like Montana, Colorado, and Washington State. I thought you guys were supposed to be smart. Have some perspective, pup.
  12. Quinn doesn't need to be elite for Texas to win this game. UW needs Trice (or Durfee if you believe in unicorns) to be a wrecking ball for UW to have a chance to blow us out. I think Trice can do it, but our OL is gonna be healthier than they've been since the Bama game and they're more experienced now too. If Penix is off, this game can get out of hand by the end of the first half. Unless we don't get it done in the redzone when given the opportunities.
  13. The difference this year is the more difficult schedule. UH, Bama, Tenn at home, RRS, then Miss, LSU, Mizzou, Auburn on the road. This year's team could have easily gone 8-4 against that schedule. They easily could go 7-5 next year if Arnold isn't special.
  14. Colorado should be all over him if they aren't already.
  15. Smart of him to lock down a spot instead of potentially getting picked up elsewhere. We'll see if he still decides to come in this weekend. Dillon Gabriel was committed to UCLA before flipping to OU a few days or weeks later.
  16. Washington actually throws a ton of quick game passes in the 0-9 yard range.
  17. The point of my post was to express the value in stopping the run. I agree that Texas throws to open the pass. We also create explosive passing plays from heavier personnel packages and formations which makes it really difficult to stop both.
  18. They're young, competitive, and talented. They'll get better at it as they continue to get in those situations.
  19. You can only do so much to stop the pass without pressure. There's a saying that three things can happen when pass the ball, and two of those things are bad. Running the ball effectively keeps the clock moving, helps the offense get into a rhythm, and wears the defense out over time. Bodyblows vs haymakers.
  20. Content is king. In general, the more you post, the better off you are. It works this way on just about every social media platform.
