  1. Noah Thomas would be really good with Arch down the field, but we have receivers like him on the roster already who know the offense enough. He's probably better than them right now, but I'd rather see Wingo and Livingstone do their thing next year.
  2. Texas is gonna get shat on by the media and on social media for the next 9 days until the game starts. Our guys are gonna be ready to silence the haters. Only question is, can our OL handle their front? If so, Bond should be healthy again, Wisner and Blue will be fresh, and our defense should be able to hold them under 30. Their LBs can be had in coverage, but our RBs didn't make hay against ASU like I expected so who knows.
  3. You guys are crazy if you don’t think just about every other team would love to have Sark as their HC/playcaller. I hate that this game was even close, but the team made multiple losing plays today and we still did enough to win. That’s on Sark as much as it is on the players. He managed Quinn well enough to get the job done despite not having a rushing attack today. We only ran 60 plays to their 98. Leavitt was a magician back there and Skattebo went bananas. The refs decided holding didn’t exist and their OL became super effective because of it. We won, despite most indicators leaning to a loss. This game was a hell of a job by Sark.
  4. One team is doing everything in their power to win. Going for broke over and over again. The other team is just trying not to lose the game.
  5. They are going to blitz Quinn to force a safety or turnover here. They are desperate desperate. We need to be ready this time.
  6. ASU has been controlling this game for the most part. Without those two explosives, we'd already be in a world of hurt.
  7. This feels like a loss. They've been moving the ball on us more consistently than expected.
  8. Quinn had no reason to bail the pocket there. If they are sitting back in zone, be patient and wait for someone to uncover.
  9. Due to the refs, and two effective turnovers due to ST errors, we've only run 21 plays. They've run like 48 plays and the yardage is still close. Our OL isn't playing as well as I imagined either. We gotta establish the run and use their aggression against them. They're overplaying most of their keys and we aren't taking advantage of that yet.
  10. These refs are trying to make the game more interesting than it should be.
  11. Too big, too fast, too focused Reality is setting in on the ASU sidelines already. Leavitt doesn't realize he isn't one of the fastest guys on the field in this game.
  12. They struggle to cover and they don't get pressure often at all.
  13. Lets get a 3 and out here fellas. Can't let these guys lean on us two drives in a row
  14. Yahya, feeling good on a Wednesday
  15. He could also transfer to another team and completely tank his draft stock after getting injured again and/or playing much much worse than this year.
  16. Woof. I was shocked when people mentioned him as an option for us. Not Texas good.
  17. Tommy was really good as a prospect and did decently in spring camp his first year at Bama before his injuries hit and took his mobility. Couldn't really compete after those. Feel bad for the kid...kinda.
  18. They actually have a rhythm running attack. Most of their runs are delayed to let the OL get set before Skattabo hitting wherever he sees opportunity.
  19. That interview with SEC morning or whatever was the most comfortable I’ve ever seen him on camera
  20. I don’t think he’ll give us that hard of a time if Lole, Collins, and Norton do what I think they will. Lole playing his old old team. Our defensive front is used to playing against much more size/strength/athleticism than this. I think that’s something that will tilt heavy in our favor as the game progresses.
  21. Outside of their RT, it definitely seems like they're starting a OL of guards. Their LT Atkins is 6'3 320 without the wingspan to make up for it. He's strong at the point of contact though. We just gotta focus on winning first and moreso second down against these guys. They've been really good on second downs for whatever reason this year. I don't think they'll be able to screen us to death without Tyson. Trey Moore might get a pick or a few batted balls against those as well. Speaking of Trey Moore, he's going against the kind of OL he used to dominate while at UTSA. Looking at our non-CS EDGEs to be even more active in this game. ASU really needs to avoid getting down 14+ pts in the first half.
  22. Didn’t think about it that hard
  23. Might not be smart for him to move somewhere with so much snow
  24. His contact balance is his best trait as a runner. He’s also pretty versatile. Tahj Brooks had some success against us last year with his exceptional contact balance, but he was more explosive and elusive than this guy.
  25. Feels very similar to the hype of Ollie Gordon ahead of the big 12 title game last year. Ollie was actually pretty fast though. Unless we’re getting beat up front, this guy doesn’t worry me at all. They also don’t have much of a passing attack to pair with him without Tyson. We’ll see.
