  1. Makes sense. It was either going back home or getting bought by a team. Didn’t hurt that they were the runner up in his initial recruitment.
  2. Color me shocked that Jordyn Tyson didn’t hit the portal.
  3. We struggled and almost lost our CFP quarterfinal game? Well, Georgia struggled and got blown out in theirs. I know which one I’d rather be.
  4. Not attacking your point, just adding to it. I agree that passing early and often is the way to go. Make them adjust, then start running up the gut
  5. We won’t live with rpo slants in this game. Downs, the 6’4-6’5 edges and their backers’ splits will muddy those windows quite a bit.
  6. We don’t really have the OL or TE to do road grading yet. We certainly don’t have the backs for it right now either. It sounds good to say run the ball over and over, but that leans into our weakness and away from theirs. Blue and Gibson are also more likely to turn the ball over than Quinn is.
  7. Heading back home perhaps? Surprised UGa didn’t do enough to keep him
  8. Ohio State is God’s gift to college football. This year’s team has all of their senior super talents clicking at the same time now. I’m not even sure why we’re bothering to play the game, it feels like a formality at this point.
  9. Dillingham has a strong network of coaching relationships despite his young age as well. He also has a strong history of QB development. Those are both strong indicators of future success.
  10. Maybe they invite her out if they are also trying to fuck the hairdresser, but that’s still a reach. People who feel invincible can lack discretion at times.
  11. We can’t expect our defense to hold them to nothing while the offense tries to get its shit together. The offense needs to start fast and stay active with first downs so we can keep their offense off the field. Too many stressors on that team to give them extra attempts to beat our defense. We don’t need to run the ball traditionally to get that done, we need to move the chains by any means necessary.
  12. Most well paid jobs and careers fall into this category. But somehow, people continue to break into them by putting in the effort and making the necessary connections. If I had the talent and desire to be great at something like being a professional football coach, I’d go be an underpaid high school coach and network like a motherfucker until I got an opportunity as a analyst with a decent coaching staff. That being said, it’s a message board. People are gonna talk and comment on stuff like this with limited info for the sake of killing time and driving conversation.
  13. You don't need elite receivers to take advantage of suspect corners. But you're right, Texas has no business playing against Ohio State, but we're so thankful you guys can grace us with your presence. Maybe by beating us this year, it'll be like you guys finally beat Michigan too.
  14. Your corners are exploitable as a position group. But it is gonna come down to scheme and execution in general. Hopefully the staff isn't looking too hard at OSU film from earlier in the season to prep for this game. I'd focus on the last 3.
  15. I know the play you’re talking about. Dorbah shot the gap from depth and drove his inside shoulder into Campbell. Goosby could have helped him with a quick shove back inside, but he’s inexperienced and just trying to figure out wtf is going on. Dorbah’s momentum and impact were likely greater than Campbell’s at that point, so he lost the edge. It’s not just as simple as being athletic and heavy.
  16. Mo Blackwell, for all of his athleticism and toughness, hasn't ever been the most heads-up player. He should have been hyper focused on the punter's foot at that point.
  17. I think these guys were just out leveraging us with their smaller size and speed. It happens. I don't think it'll be the same story against OSU, but we can't always rely on deception for blocking schemes to work. Major Preston
  18. You can try to play based on how you think things will go or you can adjust to how things are actually going. ASU played their asses off upfront and had us scouted extremely well. Goosby played poorly, Campbell played below average, Majors got beat or stalemated more often than normal. ASU was aggressive and we really didn't have a ton of opportunities to adjust. It was a hell of a job by Sark and the team to get up early and rally late despite all of the headwinds.
  19. We recruited Milroe while having Tim "commit on these hittas" Beck as OC. Beck got fired, and we replaced him with Mike Yurcich. Yurcich wasn't sold on Milroe as a passer for his system and was actively pursuing other QBs. We were heavily involved with guys like Sawyer Robertson, and we tried to get in on Garrett Nussmeier as well. This did not sit well with the Milroe camp at all. Yurcich was able to get Ewers to commit, and that was enough of an opportunity for Bama, who was already pushing for him after losing Drake Maye, to get him to flip. Herman then lost Ewers 2 months later due to being who he is as a person.
  20. Sounds like a practice arm
  21. Yea, he'll be lucky to measure close to 5'9 at the combine. The weight is probably accurate, but he's nowhere near 5'11.
  22. He really had a rough game all around. It was tough to watch, I thought his athleticism would shine against these kinds of guys, but he was lunging and his hands were getting displaced way more than in any other showing. Too bad we didn't get the memo that holding was legal in this game.
  23. I don't think he's a match production or culture wise. Wonder why we're bringing him in for a visit
  24. They didn't play any good passing teams in that stretch either. The next time they played Oregon, they gave up 2 more passing TDs. Our defense only gave up 4 passing TDs before playing Clemson, then Klubnik threw 3 of them. We kept ASU from passing for any TDs other than the RB pass play when Muhammad lost his mind.
  25. Yea, and it’s also a hit to the plans the teams are already in the middle of executing. Moving their game to the same day as the cotton bowl or the following day makes more sense.
