  1. There’s one Heisman winner in that picture. Let that bullshit sink in. JFC.
  2. I think it’s a given that OU is going to show new stuff on Saturday regardless of Ketch’s insight or lack thereof.
  3. I suspect Texas hasn’t shown everything, either. Sarkisian and Kwiatkowski are more than capable of handling it, imo.
  4. Yeah, if people were as good at it as they thought, they’d be a lot richer. I figured Texas would beat Alabama by 10+ and cover against Baylor and Kansas. So far, so good. Then I remember Rice and Wyoming. At least I got the winners right. I think Texas treats OU much more rudely than Cincinnati and SMU did, despite knowing OU is going to pull out all the stops against Texas. I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if Texas wins by something like the Kansas score, but I’ve been wrong before and I’ll probably be quite stressed until Ewers is wearing the hat.
  5. Sanders is said to be good to go. Also: “Sark is the best play caller I’ve ever faced. He hardly had any tendencies going in, and if he did, he broke them during our game. He really keeps you off balance. They have a great change to make a deep run.”
  6. Big opportunity to unload it at Texas +21 unless the guy was gutless.
  7. Big loss for Team Less Filling.
  8. I can neither confirm nor deny any conversations took place between myself and Mr. Mar.
  9. And that one was precipitated by injury, imo. That change was, imo, high on his list of good choices, somewhere way down from “let Vince be Vince.”
  10. The guy on the right was sufficiently annoying that even if he had good content it wouldn’t get me to listen to him again.
  11. Why the hell would they be? A little tape, adrenaline, and maybe some chemistry and who knows. Texas will beat OU’s ass without them and it would suck for them not to be able to participate in the beating, but there’s potentially more at stake than this one game, especially when they may well get a change to help beat their asses again in December.
  12. Because Southlake > Grapevine. Not exactly the same, but I’ve known people to say they were from Highland Park, which turned out really to mean “in the vague direction of Highland Park.” Hell, I wouldn’t say I was from Dallas if I were from Dallas. They’re more Fort Worth than Dallas, anyway.
  13. That’s kinda like saying someone isn’t from North Richland Hills, but from Fort Worth. It’s not exactly a trek between the two. My sister and her kids apparently knew Post Malone before he was Post Malone and went to some of his early shows where they were about the only ones there. I’d rather they knew Ewers, but such is my life.
  14. Yeah. This one was “team” lost yardage.
  15. I’m not sure “anyone can beat OU’s ass up and down the field” is the take he meant to put out there.
  16. Richard Peavy would disagree. So would Marcus DuPree if he could remember it.
  17. Universe willing, by Saturday night Texas will have more Top 25 wins than A&M has P5 wins.
