  1. Hmmm… he thinks UGA is failing to 4?
  2. While I’m sure your resume is impressive, the objective is still to make the defense defend all the green. Sarkisian seems to be pretty good at it.
  3. “Separate Gabriel’s soul from his body whether he pitches or not.”
  4. Yeah, I think it’s extraordinarily unlikely that Sarkisian overlooks BYU.
  5. The SEC needs ditch diggers, too.
  6. Yeah. My point was that they have effects even apart from the outcomes of those particular plays and don’t necessarily make the offense less productive, even if people like to complain about the ones that don’t do well on their own.
  7. Agreed. I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that the offense is more productive without them even if they, themselves, don’t always succeed. The effect they have on defensive calls and plays may show up in bigger plays elsewhere.
  8. Why do you think Sarkisian calls them? (Ignoring the PI vs. Alabama and the 35 yard pass from Worthy to Sanders against Baylor.)
  9. Georgia was complacent from winning two in a row, sip.
  10. Very little to not at all, imo. Programs are already aware of the portal and NIL. “Deion did it, why can’t we” is a lot like asking why don’t we just get a front man like Mick Jagger, Bon Scott, Robert Plant, Gerard Way or whoever. The media hype is based on Deion and grew because CU got off to a fast start after a putrid season. The process can be imitated. Being Deion, not so much.
  11. I think, given the rot in the locker room and the unbalanced roster, this has been a very quick turnaround.
  12. 12-1 Texas has at least an 80% shot, regardless. 12-1 Texas with a conference championship is very nearly a mortal lock.
  13. Well, hell, there was an error message on Niziolek’s ballot, but now it’s back to showing a repeat. Oh well, just beat 📎 and keep going.
  14. Hell, someone here made the 2022 TCU connection and I asked about it. Insufficiently motivated to search for it but I don’t think there was a response. There’s no idea so stupid that someone on Twitter isn’t seriously pushing it as true.

As is Sanders. I can’t disagree too strongly, given Bowers’ abilities, but I’d still ride with Sanders. I think it was one of Sarkisian’s press conferences this week when he talked about Sanders telling him he wanted to be a TE, not DL. They sent him to the sleds to start learning to block and basically built him up as a TE from there. I’ll take that kind of dedication and focus along with that talent. And the personality to tell someone, essentially, “We don’t give a fuck how you did it at Alabama. I’m the starter, not you.”

Anyone not named Bowers. And I wouldn’t trade Sanders for him.
  17. Yeah, it was some extremely pessimistic and, imo, wildly incorrect takes on various topics by a couple of guys whose handles remind me of Apple computers that caused me to stop lurking. So, really, this is their fault. And it was still going on as recently as posts in which I opined that Texas beats Alabama by 10+ and that Ewers would outplay Milroe.
  18. It was a mistake. Not sure if it was his or AP’s. They’ll figure it out and get to his actual ballot.
  19. And, again, six of his top eight are B1G, or incoming, teams.
  20. Quick? It’s been a 2.5 year rebuild so far and isn’t finished yet.
  21. I’d love to see Iowa with the game in hand late, score a TD to get to 323, and go for 2. And I used to like Nebraska when they were the anti-OU in the Big 8.
