  1. Man finding elite DTs in the portal is going to be tough. Those guys usually don’t leave. I think Texas will probably get some solid depth pieces like Carter and put their efforts in developing Bledsoe, Bryant, Mitchell. Mitchell and Bledsoe have NFL bodies and Bledsoe may be the pound for pound the most athletic specimen on the team. Dude is doing back flips at 280 lbs. I don’t think we will get this type of production again for a while from DTs. Pretty special season for them. But I think we will have a good DLine next year regardless of portal candidates. Sorrell, Burke, Bledsoe, Mitchell, Tapp, Finkley, Vasek along with incoming freshman are solid pieces.
  2. Guys, we got the best and starting WR from a team that won their 2nd national championship in a row last year that then proceeded to catch 10 TDs from a loaded QB room and was part of a 11-1 team. I think we will have no issues finding an elite WR. Hell… the first person I’m calling is Zachariah Branch and asking him if he’d like to showcase his talents in the SEC on a championship caliber team while living in ATX and making NiL.
  3. He’s going to be a great QB and win the Heisman here. Mark my words!
  4. Yeah… Quinn’s gonna need to go on and enter the draft. I like what I see from Manning.
  5. Motherfuckin Bert is the damn MVP with Sweat.
  6. Fuck tech. They are the herpes of college football. Good riddance.
  7. Damn… that looked like a nasty injury for KJ Jefferson.
  8. Sweat is going to go first round and probably closer to the 1 than 32. He’s playing out of his mind. There’s been 3 interior DL that have been dominant since 2010 on my opinion at Texas. Malcolm Brown, Poona Ford, and Sweat. Sweat has the size these GMs drool over and his pass rush ability and ability to deflect passes is very good. Dude is being double teamed and is tossing these guys around. Props to Sweat and this coaching staff. It’s so good to see potential actually be reached at Texas again.
  9. Broughton likely comes back I imagine. He’s played well this year and he gets another year with Bo and another year to get stronger. Either way, I expect Jaray Bledsoe to be a starter next year and we’ll likely see Tapp, Burke, Sorrell get another year of strength and conditioning and development. If Mitchell can take another step, this D-Line will be very good next year with Collin Simmons joining in as Edge.
  10. Texas needs to mudstomp tech in this scenario since it will be the only common opponent. There’s an argument to be made there along with a much better resume. Oregon has been “passing the eye test”. Yeah… Colorado and Utah aren’t what we thought they were in those early season games. They haven’t had a single good win on a ranked opponent.
  11. Baxter, Blue, Brooks next season is going to be unfair. Hell Baxter and Brooks may be the best RB duo in the country next year. Sark always gets production from RBs.
  12. I don’t understand the head to head argument. They’ve had plenty of chances to put Bama ahead of us and haven’t. Clearly it means enough that Bama is still behind us. If Bama wins out, they should be in the CFP as the SEC champ and it will only make our win look better. This is the committee’s worst fear bc then they have to justify leaving a potential conference champion in Texas with a last second loss in a rivalry game against a ranked opponent that had an impressive double digit win on the road against another CFP team. In this scenario, we’re in if FSU or Washington lose and UGA loses too. I don’t think they put 1 loss Oregon ahead of 1 loss Texas when it comes down to it and you look at who each team beat. Oregon’s SOS is bad and their big win against Utah doesn’t look so good. Either way, the best scenario is for FSU to lose and that may be more likely than we think.
  13. Hey you guys remember that game against #3 Bama on the road… I wonder who started that game at RB? Just because Baxter was injured most of this season doesn’t mean he can’t carry the rock. He beat out Brooks in camp. We’ll be fine running the ball.
  14. You guys are listening to this bullshit narrative from the media. We’re likely the #2 or #3 as far as talent goes. We’ve dealt with a ton of injuries and generally play to the level of our competition but lets not downplay how good this team is. Which offense besides UGA and Michigan are going to run the ball on us? Bama hasn’t been able to run on us in our last 2 matchups. We’re bigger than most teams on both sides of the lines and we may have the best skill talent in the country outside of Ohio state WRs. Those teams have to play us too. Oh yeah, our QB can be lethal if he’s have a good day. Let’s win out and see where this goes but I’d take Texas against Oregon, FSU, Bama and tOSU. Only teams I’d be worried about are Washington, Michigan and Georgia. Georgia and Michigan can match us with size on the lines and Washington would tear our secondary apart. With that said, we can beat any team when we play our A game.
  15. Sark knows what he is doing. Trey has high potential and can sit and learn. He’s a big dude and has a frame that can put on weight and had a nice deep ball. Dude seems to be willing to sit and compete when the time comes. You need guys like him in a good QB room. He could probably commit to a number of P5 programs and be the main guy.
  16. What a play! We are going to fuck these fat and short farm boys up.
  17. I don’t know. Smoking weed in the locker room, skipping curfew the night before games and racing cars seem pretty fun too….
  18. We’re going to kick their ass. This one is personnel on both sides. If this Texas shows up for a physical dog fight, we’re going to run it on them.
  19. We replaced 95% of our rushing offense from last year and we were fine this year if not better... we will be fine at WR.
  20. There's a very good chance 5-6 QBs would get taken ahead of Quinn this year. The dude has always thought he was going in the 1st round if not the very first pick but his collegiate career hasn't exactly matched his lofty rankings. It's probably best for him and Texas if he comes back considering Brooks is very likely to be back as well. He's likely a top 3 QB in the draft next year if not the top QB if he can continue to improve and stay healthy. Bobby and Gerry have both said that Arch is well aware Quinn may be back and they came to Texas to make sure Arch is prepared for the NFL, not so he can start on a certain year. With that said, Bobby and Gerry have both said that 4 people in the last 2 weeks have said Arch is a freak and the real deal. If he's the best QB on campus next year, it's going to get very interesting.
  21. He will go undrafted and can’t workout to make a practice squad. His best bet is to hope for a NiL deal and to show out next year with hopefully fewer reps to keep him healthy. Looks like Quinn is likely to come back too but for different reasons. Who knows, maybe JT sanders comes back as well! Bring the whole gang back!
  22. That money has to come from somewhere. Aggy doesn't have an unlimited fund of NiL like you are assuming. They have their own roster they will need to keep as teams will be hovering like vultures. Their boosters are already funding that 2022 #1 class, money into the athletic department and funding their current recruiting class.

    9-1

Bama is definitely improved. But that game wasn't miracle on ice. We were bigger and controlled the LOS. That won't change if there is a rematch. Bama still has youth on the OL and a QB that can be made 1 dimensional if we can stop the run. The worst thing Bama can face is a team that is as big and better on the lines and a team that can score and go up. Force Milroe to throw and you end up seeing Bama struggle. The look great now but that has more to do with their opponents and match ups. Let's see how they match up against UGA. We are also injury ridden and playing our back up QB. I'd take Texas in that matchup any day as long as our starters are healthy.
