  1. Only schools with both men and women's teams still going: Texas (#2 seed men; #9 seed women) Texas A&M (#15 seed men; #13 seed women) Tennessee (#7 seed men; #16 seed women) Stanford (unseeded men; #2 seed women) Virginia (#3 seed men; #5 seed women) Thanks for nothing, OU, losing to Stanford.
  2. Unfortunately, with Texas likely returning Morgan, Kavan, Gutierrez and bringing in another righty in Salmon, it is hard to see how Simpson gets innings, as Mike is likely to focus on Salmon getting 30-50 innings and probably a transfer lefty getting the rest. Her change-up is still so good but her command is not great (11 walks in 21.1 IP). Salmon is likely to be within our top 3 rotation in 2026 when Mac graduates, so her development in 2025 is extremely important.
  3. I still assume Simpson is going portaling with Cambria Salmon coming in. I could see her in sort of that Simpson/Czech role, and I’m assuming Mike will look for an experienced lefty in the portal. Last I saw, Softball America has Cambria ranked top 5. We are only bringing in 2 freshmen I believe, considering the bulk of our roster are sophomores (Atwood, Goode, Martinez, Citlaly, Maloney RS SO) or freshmen (TK, Henry, Stewie). Mac, Joley and Mia will be the old ladies of the roster with Bella, Cap and Czech leaving.
  4. Really need CDC to invest in SID for the women's sport. Some of the write-ups for the games are so bad.
  5. I was an SID in another life. CDC should hire me.
  6. While we wait for All Big awards, Reese lands the final Big 12 Player of the Week award and NFCA Player of the Week .700 avg 7 hits 4 HR 13 RBI 19 TB 1.900 slugging %
  7. There is still a lot of "TXST to Texas" predictions and I wanted to look at regional sites within 400 miles of San Marcos where Texas State could go that isn't Austin Norman - 401 miles Baton Rouge - 430 miles Stillwater - 478 miles College Station - 135 miles I've seen teams like Arizona to LSU or Oregon to Oklahoma, but seems like you could flip one of those to Austin and then send TXST to Norman, College Station or Baton Rouge and send Baylor to College Station or Fayettnam (427 miles) or Baton Rouge (449 miles) But I'm 99% sure the committee will just go "meh" and send TXST to Austin, because fuck us.
  8. That says just as much about them because his policy positions are cruel, ignorant and downright anti-American
  9. Yeah it took 3 or so until he got sucked in. I slogged through the first couple unsure if I liked it or not
  10. Yeah Baylor looks stacked and Drew can coach. If you don’t care about the money, it’s not a bad place to end up
  11. I’d go ahead and send that to the judge bc that fat fuck ain’t going to graduation
  12. Oh yeah I know that face
  13. Yep, as soon as he's been back in the news as the GOP nominee, people suddenly remember how much they fucking hate him.
  14. Isn't that often a year to year thing? Like if there's an extra 'ship, it goes to a walk-on. Until they need it the next year?
  15. My 3 year old nephew can do that. And he doesn’t shit his pants anymore
  16. LOL the first place team in the Big 12 (by 3 games) isn't ranked but 2 of the 3 second place teams are sitting at 18 and 21
  17. Read that Molly will be petitioning for another season of beach (6th year of eligbility) She definitely needs to be a 4peat champ (2x indoor, 2x beach) over 4 consecutive seasons
  18. https://www.axios.com/2024/05/06/geoff-duncan-endorses-biden-trump-2024 Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan on Monday endorsed President Biden and said that his fellow Republicans should back the Democrat's re-election bid instead of voting for former President Trump. Why it matters: Duncan was seen as a target for centrist political group No Labels, which announced last month it was dropping plans to run a unity ticket this November. What he's saying: "Unlike Trump, I've belonged to the GOP my entire life," Duncan wrote in an op-ed published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday. "This November, I am voting for a decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass," he wrote. Duncan said it's "disappointing" to see Republicans "fall in line behind" Trump, and added that "the GOP will never rebuild until we move on from the Trump era, leaving conservative (but not angry) Republicans like me no choice but to pull the lever for Biden."
  19. Under Armour and Adidas also participated in contract discussions with Clark's team in February, according to the WSJ and Athletic. Puma also showed some interest but walked away when told the bidding would start at $3 million per year, according to the WSJ.
  20. This. Republicans always tank the economy and the Dems have to fix it.
  21. Everyone loves her pull logo 3s but her passing and court vision is insane.
