Highlights of my stay so far. Got to the AirBnB (9000 feet) in between Arvada and Nederland on July 6th. - It was 40 degrees Sun night, July 7th. That was amazeballs coming from Austin. - Then the heat wave moved through. The temp difference from Golden/Denver to my AirBnB at 9000 ft is about 15-20 degrees difference. It takes 30 mins to get anywhere but not worrying about AC is a wonderful thing. - Chief Mountain is a wonderful short hike and reasonable vert to see amazing views. 1.5 miles up, and then 1.5 miles straight down. Views at 11,800 feet were amazing to see all the surrounding 13k and 14k peaks. - We are staying right next to Golden Gate State Park. Over a few days, we've seen 4-5 different moose including a mom and her born this season baby. Saw 2 or 3 different bull moose. One was hella big and pissed as hell. The other 2 were docile and cool as can be. - Tubed Clear Creek in Golden and got my ass beat. Flipped over head first on my back, feet over my head going down a rapids. Scraped up my back pretty good. That's no Guadalupe River float. It'll kick your ass if you hit a rapids the wrong way. - Played golf at Fossil Trace was an amazing golf course with fun views and incredible views. - Looking to hiking Quandary again this weekend. We could climb other 14ers but love that Breck is just up the road. Great place to chill and eat after conquering Quandary. - Will be playing Arrowhead and Bear Dance golf courses this and next weeks. - Continuing to do awesome hikes every day after "work". Here's one of the chill bull moose. He was chomping on Aspen leaves not caring that we were 15 yards from him.

Fossil Trace is a great track. For some reason, the greens were extraordinarily fast, even the locals I was playing with were complaining. It was my first round this trip and I couldn't dial back the pace. I stopped counting at 5 3 putts. The signature 12th hole was fun, as were most of the holes. I'm playing again later this week. Played West Woods Cottonwood and Silo courses. Fun city course but very short. Never touched the driver on Cottonwood 9. Only complaints are the vast majority of tee shots were 5 and 4 irons (200-220 yards) and the par 3 18th on Silo. Boo on par 3 18th holes. I've been doing way more hiking than playing golf. Playing Flatirons in Boulder this afternoon. Trying to see when I can get down to south Denver to play Arrowhead and Bear Dance. Hard to play golf when the mountains are calling.

Emergency Response Plans - how the fuck does a utility/private energy company in Houston not have this shit figured out. Houston has had many experiences for lessons learned on how to react to disasters. That CP seems to be still shooting from the hip is comical.

https://www.aol.com/news/harris-county-deputy-fernando-esqueda-105038944.html A manhunt is underway in Houston for the gunman who ambushed and killed an on-duty deputy overnight, authorities said. The incident began just after 10 p.m. Wednesday when Harris County deputies responded to an aggravated assault at a Little Caesars pizza shop, Harris County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Mike Lee said at a news conference. "What happened is senseless," Lee said early Thursday. "The suspect came into the location to pick up a pizza that he had ordered." "He was upset because the order was incorrect," Lee said. The suspect allegedly verbally assaulted the employee, "then produced a firearm and pistol-whipped the employee and then fled the location," Lee said. "The employee at Little Caesars was able to identify the getaway car by make and model, color and license plate," Lee said. Deputy Fernando Esqueda spotted the suspect's car, Lee said. Esqueda then "had a phone conversation with one of the other detectives to let him know he did have the suspect vehicle in sight," Lee said. While on the phone, "our deputy apparently was ambushed" and shot multiple times, Lee said. The sheriff identified Ronnie Palmer, 44, as a person of interest in the shooting. The sheriff says Palmer is also wanted in connection to an aggravated assault at a Little Caesars Pizza at 15634 Wallisville Road on Wednesday night. Piece of shit. He was/is the football coach at Monterey Peninsula College. That's a rough 44. https://x.com/ronniepalmer33 -

If a US voter is going to vote for Trump because "Biden" did poorly in a "debate" where Trump wasn't called out on his bullshit lies, then we are truly fucked as a country. Trump is an absolute piece of shit but we are worried about Biden. I don't think anyone on the Dem ticket is going to make "on the fence" voters think, "well, this person is ok so maybe I shouldn't vote for the piece of shit felon pedophile." At this point, if you are "on the fence", you are a Trump voter pretending not to be a Trump voter. Screw it, maybe we are already truly fucked as a country. -
The fuck! CoA can go fuck itself if it wants to impose restrictions on my AC temp. https://communityimpact.com/austin/south-central-austin/government/2024/07/05/austin-inches-closer-to-air-conditioning-mandates-for-residences/ A new city mandate for air conditioning in all residences is moving closer to final approval, and residents can weigh in on the change in July. What's happening The city is in the process of revising its technical codes, including its first proposed air conditioning mandate under the building code. The update would require all residential property owners to keep rooms at least 15 degrees cooler than outdoor temperatures, and no hotter than 85 degrees Fahrenheit at most. If implemented, the standards would apply for all existing properties and new construction in Austin. Austinites can weigh in on the new building code items online until July 24. The revisions will also be discussed at the July 9 planning commission meeting before heading to City Council later this summer for final approval.

Dem politicians are weak as fuck. Trump has a mile long list of bullshit including being a convicted felon and rapist, and yet the Rep politicians are fully behind him. Biden has one bad reality TV episode and the Dem politicians are trying to OD on vagisil. The Dems are creating the illusion that Biden can't compete with Trump. It's going to be self fulfilling. Fucking dipshits. -

Need to add Pedophile to the subject description. He's mentioned over 50 times in Epstein doc. He likes 13 yr old girls. Sick fuck. -
I wasn't in Breck but I'm slumming at 9000 feet in the mountains between Golden and Nederland. It was 40 degrees this morning. It's supposed to get hot as fuck this week in Golden, but up here, it's 80s/50s. Went on 2 hikes yesterday. Playing golf this afternoon. I get to do this for an entire month before I have to go back to the Texas shithole. 4 more years until retirement in Colorado.

They are pissed because Schloss confirmed their biggest fear, that they are ALWAYS little brother to Texas, that they will never be Texas' equal. How can they be equal if the coach who led them to their first and only CWS final series would leave them to coach at big bad Texas? Schloss leaving for another school would get them mighty pissed, but Schloss leaving to Texas broke them. It made them look in the mirror and admit the truth. -

Crash Davis/Me: If you believe you're playing well because you're getting laid, or because you're not getting laid, or because you wear women's underwear, then you ARE! And you should know that! J/k, sorta. I got paired with a guy who had a Lab putter. He loved it inside 6 feet. He hated it outside 20 feet. He said he has a problem with distance control on long putts. We traded putters after the 8th hole. I use a TM Spider. I don't know if my opinions of the Lab were biased from his comments, but I found the exact results that he said. I felt more confidence inside 10 feet but I couldn't lag on long putts for shit. At the end of the, he was willing to trade me straight up for my Spider. I declined. He said he was going to go to Golf Galaxy to trade his Lab for a Spider. Just like most everything in golf, it's all between the ears. It's the indian, not the arrow, mostly.

The 4th district is basically west Kansas. It's basically east Texas without the trees and African Americans. Rural people are Trump party's wet dream.

Any way to find out how many times this cumstain parasite has been picked up and released? Clearly this fuckhead is a threat to society. Yet the city, county and state can't seem to charge him with something to keep him off the streets terrorizing tax paying citizens? How many times can this loser use the I'm unfit to stand trial get out of jail card? How many other homeless fuckheads are there who are just like this dude, who terrorize Austin but are "unfit to stand trial"?

This one is a doozy. Gaming is serious business. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/edward-kang-charged-attempted-murder-flew-to-florida-attack-fellow-gamer-hammer-sheriff/ A man is in custody on attempted second-degree murder charges after allegedly attacking another person with a hammer, police said Monday. Edward Kang, 20, allegedly flew from Newark, New Jersey to Jacksonville, Florida to confront the unnamed victim after a dispute through the online fantasy video game called ArcheAge, Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper said in a news conference. "This is a weird one," Leeper said. "Some things make you say 'Hmm.' Some things, you just can't make up. There are some things that make you say 'What in the world was he thinking?' And there are some things that make you say 'You're not going to believe this.' This case makes you say all four of those." Leeper said that Kang flew from Newark Liberty International Airport to Jacksonville International Airport and stayed at the Ocean Coast Hotel in Fernandina Beach since Friday. Once in Florida, Kang went to an Ace Hardware and purchased a hammer and flashlight, Leeper said. Receipts for the items were found in his hotel room. Kang was able to enter the victim's home in Fernandina Beach because the front door was unlocked, according to Leeper. Kang, wearing all-black clothing, gloves and a mask, attacked the victim, and the two ended up struggling on the ground, the sheriff said. Deputies were called to the home by the victim's stepfather, who reported being awakened by his stepson's screams for help. He told police he found his stepson on the ground struggling with Kang. Police found a "significant amount of blood" in the entryway of the home and in the victim's bedroom, Leeper said. Both Kang and the victim were taken to an area hospital. The victim sustained "severe head wounds," but they were not life-threatening, Leeper said. He has since been released from the hospital. Kang was released into the custody of the Nassau County Sheriff's Office. Kang allegedly told a deputy that the victim is "a bad person online," Leeper said, and asked how much time in jail he might serve for breaking, entering and assault. "I would say, 'Mr. Kang, it's going to be a long time before you play video games again,'" Leeper said. Kang is not cooperating with the investigation and remains in the Nassau County Jail, Leeper said. Jail records show that Kang has also been charged with armed burglary, in addition to the charge of attempted second-degree murder. Both are felony charges. Leeper said that the incident serves as a reminder that online altercations can spill over into the real world and stressed that people should exercise caution online, report suspicious behavior, and keep homes securely locked.
