  1. Since this thread has inevitably devolved from "greatest tv theme songs" to "tv theme songs that make me nostalgic" I'll go ahead and throw this one out there-- it had me glued to the TV after school, I think it probably aired on one of the "new cable stations" either USA or WTBS. I watched it at a friend's house because at the time they had cable and we didn't. Theme song takes me way back.
  2. Yup. Don't care, got burrito.
  3. That one ag who said, "Completely unwarranted and delusional arguments said with such confidence" might not realize it, but he just entered a very strong contender for a new Surly motto...
  4. "Indian bread." I lived off those things during my junior and senior year in EE when I pretty much didn't leave campus from 7 AM til 10 PM every day.
  5. Pray for lightning.
  6. Cold again. I'm ready for winter to be over.
  7. Devil's Backbone is delicious. Strong stuff, beware.
  8. Wow, they finally figured out that was just an excuse for Schloss leaving. If they ever understand the real reason he left A&M and came to UT, they might be onto something. But, they won't.
  9. John Hamm did attend Texas but basically left in disgrace after being arrested and placed on probation for some very serious hazing at the Sigma Nu fraternity, hazing that was bad enough to get the fraternity disbanded from UT campus. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/apr/10/mad-men-star-jon-hamm-was-charged-with-hazing-in-college-days
  10. I love Czech dark lagers. After almost 10 or 15 years of me begging and bugging Chip at Live Oak to brew one, they finally did a couple of years ago, and it was fantastic. I didn't know ABW had one, I'll definitely give it a try. I also love Saison, maybe my favorite style. Believe it or not Deep Ellum Brewing had one of the best American versions of the style I've ever tasted, when they first opened up. But it was actually good, unlike most of their beers, so of course they killed it. Is that place even still around?
  11. It's so weird, that anyone would actually think that way. Some around here know that I'm married to an aggie, who comes from a large family of aggies. All of her direct relations are great, normal people. Some of the extended cousins and aunts and uncles are a bit extreme, but I rarely have to see or interact with them. But it would never have occurred to me, to ask if there's anything I should know about dating an aggie girl. Because the majority of them are normal. And it never occurred to her to ask anyone if there's anything she should know about dating a longhorn guy. Because why would it make any difference? Internet fringe fans are weird across the board, but theirs are by far the weirdest.
  12. Yup Season 3 wrapped up beautifully, but if they're willing to make more, I'm willing to watch it.
  13. After I'd already highlighted it and responded with my Del Griffith "Oh yeah, sure, sure" meme in post #30840.
  14. Stouts are quite commonly in the 5% or lower range. Guinness is 4.2%, and only 125 calories/12 oz. It's my go-to when I want to drink a Light Beer.
  15. Big Ten Courts Private Equity Investment, Retains Evercore https://www.sportico.com/leagues/college-sports/2025/big-ten-private-equity-investment-evercore-1234826061/ Is there anything that Private Equity doesn't improve??
  16. Beautiful weather, bring it on!
  17. ..."but a lot of money for that time in the NIL world."
  18. John Mackovic would think that was awesome, and they'd all end up at WR by the end of their first summer drills.
  19. Man I could never move to somewhere that has more winter than Austin. Somewhere in the tropics is in my future, ideally.
  20. Yeah Schumi was always one of my favorites so when he went to Ferrari it was like a dream come true for me. But, I did have to hold my nose whilst rooting for Seb. To be fair, Seb himself became more tolerable over the years, just as Lewis has, and maybe Max has, at least a little bit. Maturity takes time and it's probably not easy to gain humility when you're making millions, banging models, and constantly being told you're the best.
  21. The great news is, no matter how good their recruiting ranking might be, we know the ags will squander it and go 8-4 (TM).
  22. It's never going to stop raining.
  23. Lulzno But as usual sarcasm is completely lost on this board. Even so, I do miss Dart Bowl which was also excellent.
  24. Well the majority of them have learned all they know about roster building from Sumlin, Jimbo, and the Elk. So of course they know absolutely nothing about how roster building works. Oh and there's a special place in hell for dumbshits who utter the phrase "the math ain't mathin'."
