  1. Preseason Hinton composite and postseason AP presented from 2018.
  2. Faceballs and Sheep Stalls?
  3. Here is Hinton's composite. Note that he has us at 13, behind aggy and Auburn, to name a couple. We should save these and the S&P+ for comparison to final standings to see who is best at predicting CFB: GAs working for FB coaches, hacks working for newspapers, or would-be statisticians who combined Microsoft Excel with recent years' box scores.
  4. Of course the van driver will state that he stopped and looked for cross-traffic.
  5. Will probably be a natural leader of whatever team he happens to be on this year-- he may even already have an idea who it will be.
  6. The whole thing sounds odd. He might have had discitis with a big abscess (spine infection) that was thought for a while to be run of the mill back pain. The verbiage about how it "could have gone to his heart" is boilerplate; any infection could spread to the heart, but it sounds like this one did not. It is also possible to have back pain, "self medicate," and get infection at the "treatment" site. That is actually a more common problem, but not one you want to accuse someone of having without some evidence.
  7. Happened to me (car pulled into my path) about 20 years ago. Spent 7 weeks in the hospital, but with good care and by the grace of God got back into one piece. Never got back on one. R I P Ced— touched many peoples’ lives.
  8. That’s a garbage take. It’s not like the university raped him. Dude had a HFC on the down slide but was given the chance to play for the NC. Any alumnus who is in the horns down club can go sit in the corner til he gets his head out of his ass.
  9. Aggy would be thrilled to share their wives with flip their 5* QB recruit to Bama. It’s what a coattail-riding cuck program lives for.
  10. 18 was great but, in part due to unforeseeable circumstance, didn’t address needs at RB or LB as well as might be desired. It remains to be seen how well those future classes will ultimately round out all positions.
  11. MRI can show interrupted or elongated fibers and increased signal on T2 when there is edema or hematoma. Grade 1 may not even show up. Grade 2 will have some changes but show at least some fibers in continuity. Grade 3 will look bad.
  12. That’s enough of your wood oven
  13. Stable doesn’t rule out a meniscus tear, but tends to mean nothing season-ending. “Sprain” gets used a little casually to include what some would call “strain.” Sprain technically means injury to a ligament, the link between bones. A neck sprain would thus be a spinal injury and potentially serious. I’m guessing it’s really a strain, though. Pulled muscle of the neck is a pain in the neck but unlikely to make him miss game time unless it is high grade.
  14. Even when Nick Saban is coaching and “Alabama” is on the jerseys, when the average player is a top 300 blue-chipper, the game is played by a couple dozen teens/ early 20s young men. Quarterbacks have bad days. Bama could lose to aggy. Not likely, though. The rest of the SEC gets 5 chances to beat the gomers compared to only 4 chances to score an upset. 9 wins is possible, but I really doubt it. I think 7 is most likely, followed by 8, much less chance of 6 or 9, can’t see anything else (regular season).
  15. Yes-- the solid production out of that class despite its (on paper) lower talent rating and small size was crucial, IMO, in making "Texas is back" even a possibility. If we keep getting our asses handed to us on the field, the excitement of a new coach can wear off before we stock up on enough new classes, and we get caught in a vicious cycle. As it stands, the future is wide open. Also, I am more than a little gruntled to see our recruiting go from the 89-90 averages to 91-93. I know that rankings are not everything, but they are something. And we are not reaching Mullen-style for stars at the expense of character, fit, etc.
  16. Love the potential as a great receiver, the low drama, and the tag to Milroe.
  17. 2015 was Strong’s first full class. 27 guys signed, .8943 average, 10th nationwide, 1st B12. Only one left is Burt. Some duds and no-shows, but included Malik, Connor Williams, Omenihu, Hill, Boyd, Davis, and the punter. 2016 was peak Strong era. 28 / .9007 / 7 / 1. Turned out better than it looked after Baylor raped its way into trouble. Would have been better had Hudson not medically washed out. Fair number of guys gone. Included Duv, Jones, Shark, Collin, Zach, Roach, and LJ 2017 had 6 committed when Herman took over. Ended with 17 / .8758 / 25 / 2. A few misses, but included Sam, Cosmi, TQ, Gary Johnson, Josh Thompson, Kerstetter, Bimage, Brewer and Boyce. 2018 was Herman’s honeymoon class. 27 / .9216 / 3 / 1. Rising and Williams gone. A few others may not pan out. Historically good safety haul. Lots of contributors and expected contributors. 2019 was the anti-honeymoon, the shadow of the jimbotron. 26 / .9119 / 3 / 1. Bru, Floyd, and Brown all off the board before the season starts, but 2/3 might be back. Potential - haven’t done anything yet. Our 247 class conference ranks are 1, 1, 2, 1, 1. It’s time. 2020 marks the reversion of aggy to the mean and under our boot. We’re at 16 / .9313 / 6 / 1 so far. 2021 is apparently the Milroe show. 7 / .9269 / 2 / 1 so far. source: 247
  18. Because they have Lamar, UNT, Plano East, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and USCe there to cushion the blow. They would need an implosion of historic proportion to fail to win 6 games, let alone more than once in a row.
  19. Well that was fun while it lasted
  20. The SEC is soft outside of Bama, UGA, LSU, and maybe Mullen’s gators. Aggy is no Texas, but they’re more talented than most of that conference. Clemson with Trevor will likely work them over. Their odds of beating a top team aren’t great, but the odds of losing to one of their other 5 aren’t much higher. I’ll laugh along with everyone else should they stumble, but the overwhelming likelihood in my opinion is that they win either 7 or 8 this year, before the bowl. The treat won’t be their utter collapse; it will be their exposure as an obvious little brother in the SEC and to us.
  21. I would sit him through and including the OU game. That sends the message that he’s missing the biggest games of the (regular) season but leaves hope for redemption and return. I think a full year suspension would make return so remote for an emotionally distressed young man that the risk of his falling away would go up.
  22. Ok, I’ll call it. 2120.
