  1. This more cow bell v devil game has been fun.
  2. This drive by Arizona State shows ultimate commitment to the run
  3. So beating Florida buys us nothing and a loss would be devastating.
  4. In case anyone has the same issue. I had trouble downloading my tickets using the TexasLonghorns app this morning; in prior years, I had been able to do it just fine. However, I was able to download them successfully using the https://TexasLonghorns.com/MyAccount link. After doing so, the app was then able to log in and manage my tickets. It's possible the issue was due to a maintenance window. Although I must say that the instructions from the athletic department did not mention the app they only mentioned the link.
  5. Thanks for reminding me what version of white lightning Jerry has been building for the last 30 years.
  6. I listen to several college football podcast per week since the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa and I guess if he was ever mentioned it did not catch my interest.
  7. I understood the your post the reply was more me just lamenting that the answer is not in house.
  8. Didn't Sark say they are at 64% TD rate in the red-zone. So Neal was worse so he won't help the red-zone issue much based on what he has done in the past. Summary Table — WVU Red-Zone TD Percentage under Neal Brown Year Red-Zone TD % Notes 2019 ~47 % Very low, ~119th nationally 247Sports 2020 ~61 % Significant improvement 247Sports 2021 ~66 % Further progress 247Sports 2022 ~63 % Slight dip from 2021 247Sports 2023 ~60.3 % Dropped modestly 247Sports Sark should stop bragging about 64% considering Elite Programs / National Champions ~70–76%
  9. Sark needing a competent second opinion is now everywhere, Chance Mock was saying it last night, on Bobby's show this morning someone suggested Tom Herman. Like usual the fix is apparent to the masses before it is obvious to the coach. Charlie Strong hired Shawn Watson and most here laughed and I said he had just put the first nail in the coffin before he even got started. Tom Herman brining mostly his entire staff from Houston and not going out and getting the best possible staff was heavily criticized on the boards. Will Sark do something in time or will he have us waiting for years like Mack to do something about it? AJ Milwee does not have the experience and is not good enough to help Sark fix his issues.
  10. We are in season passes purchased.
  11. Coached by AJ Milwee and he would have the same issues.
  12. He does not work with his private coach every day but he probably does work with AJ Milwee quite often and good techniques can be undone by bad coaching especially if the player is coachable as was evident with Manny _iaz and tackling. The main point of the thread though is the AJ Milwee needs to be replaced with someone better and someone that can be in Sark's ear to make sure he is not rushing things or making huge mistakes on plays he wish he would have back in critical moments against elite competition. So even if you are right Arch's private coach is not going to be in the box being an additional expert on play calling when critical plays need to be made to win a championship.
  13. Did not see this posted but after watching it looks like Arch moves well in the pocket. Also, not having wide receivers open is probably put to rest by this breakdown done by Chase Daniels.
  14. It takes time, then they hire Steve Patterson as AD, then again I don't know the full story of who was responsible for that abortion of an AD but it feels good to blame a fricking aggy.
  15. We've all seen kids be pretty good in certain areas coming out of high school, only to struggle later. Barnes players with free throws, Manny with tackling, Vance with CBs adjusting to the ball in the air. I'm sure you've noticed similar cases where kids regress after working with specific coaches day in and day out here at the 40. Sometimes it almost seems predictable based on the coach.
  16. Shit it might work
  17. Trying to derail the thread with a troll QB post.
  18. I contend that Sark's limitations are well-documented, particularly his red-zone struggles since Atlanta. However, Milwee isn't the solution, as he lacks the independent experience against elite competition needed to help Sark overcome his challenges. Sark requires someone with the right experience and a bold, aggressive voice to help him outclass elite play callers on the other side. That said, I do think Milwee might be the issue when it comes to mechanics, given he likely spends more time with the QBs given Sark's other responsibilities.
  19. This thread isn't about making the SEC championship game or the playoffs – it's about taking that final step to break through to a championship. What you're discussing has already been shown to be achievable with the current staff.
  20. I think this is part of the issue: there's no one in Sark's ear with experience against elite competition to provide a second opinion in the room or during the game, helping him to outclass elite play callers on the other side.
  21. Texas is on the cusp of greatness, but needs to break through. It's clear that PK and his defense has been solid the last two years, but the offense, led by Sark, is the weak link that's been failing. Ryan Day got Chip Kelly and Mack parted ways with his DC buddy to help them break through. Who will help Sark get there? It won't be Milwee; he's learned most of what he knows from Sark. In Atlanta, Sarkisian struggled to match Kyle Shanahan's success, and his red-zone issues ultimately led to his firing. Yet to win a championship Sark will need to be successful versus NFL-level talent and speed. Sark is the mastermind, but Milwee is probably the mechanics specialist. Have quarterbacks improved under Milwee's tutelage? Quinn's mechanics were always in question, and now it's Arch's turn. Sark has shown he can hire quality assistants, so he should hire a quarterback coach with a strong reputation for improving mechanics with a big enough ego and credibility ( a la Patterson) to challenge Sark's ideas, rather than simply following Sark's direction. This could help Sark get past whatever it is that has held him back when he has not had a Carrol or Saban challenging him to do better. Are there any candidates like that out there?
