  1. TikTok keeps taking down the vid that shows his face. She posted another one. I tried to imbed it, but you can see it by going to the original link and looking at her posting history. I can't imagine who she told her plastic surgeon she wanted to look like. If I were part of a family that dumb, I might have a death wish as well.
  2. Actually, my county is divided between two different US Congressional Districts.
  3. #SoulslosttoCovid. Nope, this moron lost his soul long before Covid came along.
  4. I thought Trump made a comment about the piles of dead birds under the wind towers, maybe floating on the water, since it was the ones off the Scottish coast that bothered him most.
  5. Apparently this was one of the early Ivermectin blurbs. May of this year? I had wondered how this got started. It was probably posted here, but i missed it. I wouldn't doubt that Wood is talking about a treatment like this or bleach or something. Probably figuring there's a malpractice case if the guy dies and they didn't give him Ivermectin or hydrochloroquinine, or bleach, or lysol, or stick a candle up his ass or something. When they do listen to science, it's always bogus science. 6. Fuck, this thread took a weird detour.
  7. The Dems don't have anyone declared for governor yet. That makes a difference. Collier and Jaworski are campaigning hard and have been down into south Texas several times already. Harris could have helped going there instead of El Paso. I like both Collier & Jaworski, but they just don't have the name recognition yet. I think they are all waiting on Beto to put his hat in the ring so they can all unite behind him. I really can't understand why this isn't done yet. I know there is a lot of criticism of him here, but Beto has really mobilized a lot of people and energy. He colors outside the lines of the TDP and there's some pissing match going on, I think. Covid fucked us too. One of the problems is the way the Red side fights. Every week it's a new fire. Collier was running on the grid debacle, and whoops, here comes voter suppression. Then the border/immigration war. Then Covid. It's like you go attack one of their fires, they start fanning a different one, or start a new one. That one guy who confessed that the R strategy was to fuck everything up and obstruct to insure nothing got done by Biden is very spot on. That's their playbook, and when the country is now stockholmed to not trust anybody or anything, it's way easier for them. Right now there are a lot of demonstrations going on along the border and south and west Texas in rural counties like Medina and Atascocita. It's a very concerted effort to take what's already 80-90% Red and make it 100% or at least intimidate any Dems to not show up. And it's working. They know they have lost the urban centers and are now working to hold the rural area. With gerrymandering and statewide elections, they can use the rural base to keep US senate seats, judicial seats, Gov, Lt Gov, SBOE and everything else. Using gerrymandering they keep control of the house and senate. It's the same argument of Wyoming vs California on a national level vis a vis the electoral college and Senate vote. And they ride that rural vote to push voter suppression to discount urban vote. Any ideas on how to fight that, I'd love to hear them.
  8. It's FL. Half those workers are anti-vaxxers. On the NOLA crackdown, would it be just fines? If someone got out of hand and started resisting, would they be arrested? If so, where do they put all these unvacinnated dumbasses? Surely they'd have to have some special holding facility? Honestly, that would definitely be another facet to policing this. YES! Even wearing a slight mask throws their life balance all out of whack. Trump is Pablo. Biden is his brother. It's one reason they had such a swing from blue to red. My brother tried to sell me this. Fortunately he and his wife went ahead and got shots. I love this gif. She hits him so hard, her own teeth rattle.
  9. She's probably more pissed that he didn't make a pass at her than she is about losing the money. She seems all about the attention, and to have her hotness ignored would not set well with her, I imagine.
  10. What exactly is it that they win? The odds they have all those kids that they're dominionists? Repopulating the white race ASAP? I know one of those.
  11. Is that a fitbit? Wouldn't it be cool to hack that distantly and fuck with his readouts. Kind of like when they kept switching clothes on ferret face in MASH?
  12. I like how you automatically assume everyone agrees with you that any fetus is viable life. We don't. And just add abortion to the list of distractions amped by the ultra wealthy to keep us from paying attention to what they are doing. At least they have you fooled.
  13. Antimasker Ted Cruz sends his kids to a private school with a mandatory mask policy Oddly enough, Cruz's children don't attend public school. They attend a tony private school in Houston, which requires masks regardless of government rules around Covid, or lack of them. I name the school, but here's a screenshot of its face coverings policy, which states, "Due to the current situation in our community, all persons on campus will be required to have a face covering." https://boingboing.net/2021/08/11/antimasker-ted-cruz-sends-his-kids-to-a-private-school-with-a-mandatory-mask-policy.html
  14. Curious who you or others would accept as authorities on this? Who could give you an answer that you would readily accept, especially if it went counter to what you had heard from other sources?
  15. THIS is the heart of it all. There is a uber wealthy class that feels the US is circling the drain and doesn't give a shit about anything but picking the bones just a bit more. So what if their consumers are killed off? They don't have enough left in their pockets to worry about, and that upper class has plenty of yachts, islands and mountain compounds stocked up and waiting. BLM, Covid, 1/6, immigration, voter suppression? All distractions from what's really going on. And these fucking politicians, including some Dems (looking at you Manchin) are happy just to be fed scraps from the table, like some yippy lap dog. https://www.propublica.org/article/secret-irs-files-reveal-how-much-the-ultrawealthy-gained-by-shaping-trumps-big-beautiful-tax-cut I mean seriously, wtf do you do with the second billion you get? Funny how people whose ancestors lived under hoods can't wear masks.
  16. I've fought several fights on a local level for things like VFD, school, POA and what I have come to realize that what it's going to take it to have the place burned down, then rebuild. Sadly common sense or problem solving doesn't make any difference anymore. It's all about not making changes, not spending money. So who burns us down first? Plague or Climate Change?
  17. It basically comes down to two types of people. Those who give to others and those who take from others. Facebook and a bastardization of current Christian philosophy towards prosperity over all else. This "God put you in your life to get everything from his bounty you can get, and after you're satiated, then give a little back to the poor," is bullshit. Of course we've seen this over and over from Carnegie and Rockefeller in the Gilded Age up to Bezos and his ilk now. And because the Dems are the party of looking out for your fellow man, then it would come off as hypocritical if they were to condemn anyone without giving them a chance at redemption. It's the proverbial Charlie Brown and Lucy. Charlie Brown is an ass if he doesn't give Lucy one more chance. And when he does, and she fucks him over for the umpteenth time, then he's a loser. At some point Charlie Brown needs to learn to drop kick and make Lucy irrelevant. But until then, Dems will continue to look centrist.
  18. She's been banned for a week now. It's not permanent, but that's imminent. She'll keep pushing back until she's gone so she can say she's as big a martyr as the orange toad is. https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/10/tech/twitter-marjorie-taylor-greene/index.html
  19. We have a large Kubota dealer in the area, and he usually has well stocked yards and he finances them himself, not under an inventory program. His stock has dwindled considerably, like from 50 to 5 on pretty much all models and implements. Not sure if he is scaling back on purpose because he's not getting the sales, or he's having trouble getting stock. Possibly a combination. But scarcity of materials is definitely a consequence of this.
  20. Hot Wheels is playing the rural vs urban card. Bigger districts don't have the burden of the smaller ISDs where everyone knows most of the board members and that exerts intense pressure on those people. Being addressed by some fairly anonymous person in a meeting is far less consequential than being cornered in the local grocery, bank or hardware store by a neighbor or fellow churchgoer. That doesn't even bring kids and spouses into the equation, which usually multiplies the issues. Abbott is hoping that these rural schools treat everything like its 2018 again and Covid just doesn't take root. If it does, you know he's already got some deflection ready. To the untrained, but wide open eye, this shit looks like it's in its infancy worldwide. I think it would take something like the Black Death to move some of these people, but not all.
  21. But if we could just band together, you know, as employees and fight this! 22. She had a face that was great. Girl next door you felt you might have a chance with. You never saw her bitch resting face. Julie Bowen always struck me the same way.
