  1. I didn't love it, because it was too cringey, but there were some good parts. It really is a 90 minute ITYSL sketch, that feels like it goes on for too long at times. It's entertaining though, assuming you can make your way through it all. I would give it a mixed rating, but I think that was their intent, so mission accomplished. That said, I hope Tim gets an Oscar nomination for it.
  2. 31 pitches through 3 innings with no hits or walks.... Not great bob.
  3. Nah, Joel Embiid never won anything...
  4. That ball tipped off the 1b glove and may have spared him a lot more pain had it hit him lower down. Dude was lucky for that.
  5. WTF does "Malicious Communications" mean as a crime? They projected light at a wall, it's not like they vandalized a public landmark.
  6. What's funny is that a lot of the stuff Charlie said on camera would qualify for one of these "freedom of speech, but not free from consequences" situations with normal employers firing someone. So now people pointing out the awful things he said is grounds for firing someone? That's a huge lurch towards authoritarian/fascist ideology by these goons, but since they are in charge and it only hurts 'the other' team, it's OK.
  7. Cuban's rebuttal trying to run cover for Ballmer. Amazing to me that he thinks they can run with the "only Joel Sandberg knows why he did this deal, you have to ask him!" as the argument against it being blatant cap circumvention.
  8. The big difference is that the M's remaining opponents are the Rockies and then the Dodgers. Colorado should be an easy sweep for them, and the Dodgers might have nothing to play for, which means they will gladly start a triple A squad if it screws over the Astros by tanking those games. Need the Padres to keep the pressure on them so they have to be competitive in a couple of them.
  9. Wake up babe, new Pablo pod just dropped... Fucking hilarity ensues. Balmer is so fucked. Cuban is still an idiot. NBA has to bring down the hammer on these idiots, it's so obvious that this was clearly done to circumvent the cap.
  10. Is the ball even in that clip?
  11. Yessssd, let's sweep tonight and get that boot. Maybe Gordon can wear it around the clubhouse.
  12. Blubaugh looked great last night, 7 strikeouts in 3 innings is excellent. Very promising prospect. He may be in the rotation next year, especially if they have a few guys on IL.
  13. Hmmm, I think I would give him a couple more batters to see if he can get it done...
  14. It's the off-season, so it's a slow time for NBA news, but if you want to listen to something fun for 15 minutes, Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons pick their 2028 Olympic team rosters. They discuss a few Rockets. Both had Amen Thompson on their teams, and think he could be a starter for that team. KD is likely going to be too old, so they don't pick him. Bill adds Tari Eason as a 9-12 guy, "someone that's just happy to be there and will give it their all in limited minutes." Would be cool if they both make it, especially if Tari is on a long contract by then. They both love the idea of having a "release the dogs" type lineup with a bunch of really good defenders like them, Mobley, Jalen Williams, and someone to deal with a big center when playing Wemby or Jokic. USA team starts around 44 minutes.
  15. So where does Nick Fuentes being a catboy fall within this scale of internet subculture?
  16. In that first clip, Charlie is referring to the Leviticus 19 passage that is often translated a few different ways, which says "Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart" or some form of "countryman" instead of Israelite. That's not the same as the quote from Jesus, which is contained in multiple Gospels, that he calls his followers to "love your neighbor as yourself." There is a very distinct difference between the two, in that the quote from Jesus is inclusive of all humans, not just Israelites, and extends that compassion to others no matter their nationality, race or ethnicity. It was a radically different commandment with a universal purpose than the one from Leviticus, which is what Charlie quotes, and I'm sure there's a good reason why he likes that verse instead. So telling Miss Rachel to go "crack open that Bible" as if she didn't know what the "love they neighbor" text meant, is just the cherry on top of the patronizing misinterpretation of her words and a complete misunderstanding of his own religion. That's not even getting into the whole old law vs new law discussion, and what still applies to the modern day law based on Jesus' teachings. Or even looking at all the examples of Jesus interacting with the sinful people and helping them regardless of if they were living in sin. It's just astonishing how modern day Christians have completely bastardized the teachings of Jesus and twisted it to reinforce their own bigotry and vengefulness against groups of people they love to hate.
  17. Because it lets them play into their collective perpetual victim complex. One of theirs was killed in a horrific manner, and they all feel bad about it, and want to do the one thing right-wingers all agree on universally: grift and profit off their fans and supporters for the most money possible.
