I’ve disagreed with this take for years. Coach Moore’s target is objectively better, yes. When you’re at the Fiesta Bowl, you indulge in a Latina with a fat ass. It’s like baseball and chili dogs.

Legit question. Stroh is 6.6, ~350lbs, a yard wide. In theory if he just gets low it's 2 seconds to get around him. Get a hand on them and it's a bonus 1-2 seconds?

What makes a giant like him fail so badly? Speed, T-Rex arms, weak (he's got to have lower body strength just to walk at 350lbs), development, talent? Honest question.

2nd - I know many of you hit the gym. Is it easier to gain 40-50 of decent mass or lose 20-30 of bad mass? I was a swimmer, neither was a concern for me, so I have no idea. I just needed cardio.

Thanks for input.

Oh, and that GT RB coach is very interesting imo. Not a chance on Rutgers guy. The GT guy would come into this program in awe and his head on fire to produce.

Well for one he doesn’t have good hip bend so there goes your first theoretical point. Second he has cinder blocks for feet. This isn’t HS you just can’t take up space and use your size. Three, he’s not athletic. Four, he’s dog shit.

5 he still knows more about football and is a better more successful human being than BO&W.

I mean he's not great at football but still....

Guys, I'm just asking for more knowledge. @TexasRenegadeno reason for ad hominem attacks. @BurntOrange&White gave some thoughtful ideas. That is what I wanted to better understand the game. Nothing he said was against you, why attack him? I guess it's fun like a big dick contest but sometimes donating real fans are just asking innocent questions to think about more informed views.

Dude BOW is a beating on here.  Its the same post about everything.  He's Sataya without the warm fuzzy feelings.  My response had nothing to do with your question,  his crap just gets old. Calling a kid dog shit even though he probably never played a lick of football in his life deserves to be called out a bit.  Plus, him feeling the need to respond with that weak ass response made me smile.

From what I’ve seen, he not assignment sound, which isn’t terribly shocking for a first year player and reputedly Sark’s offense requires more versatility on the line than some others (he wants to be multiple).  That, plus a lack of athleticism means he can’t play strong, even against smaller players because his technique falls apart if he can’t lock on a DT.

This leaves a lot of free rushers as he tries to arm block, and when it’s in the A gap it forces the center over and he’s got a bad angle there, too.

He might be fine as a senior but he’s a bad eval as a player if he can’t provide meaningful snaps after 3 years on campus.  I think it’s also pretty clear that there’s eval/scouting malpractice that’s more structural, I.e., maybe prioritizing size over every other characteristic is dumb.

Thank you, sir. Helps me wrap my brain around this OL problem in a meaningful way. And once again the Flood problem - bad eval. We can do better.

One of the smartest post I've read on here, appreciate it.

Damn it's aggravating to watch all that again.  The reason he's falling down/getting thrown down so much is that's he's leaning and lunging, getting his weight way out in front of his feet.  He needs to sink his hips into a more athletic position and keep his center of gravity above his feet so that when he contacts a defender he can deliver a rising blow, latch on, and use leg strength to drive with quick choppy steps.

Ok. First question ya need to ask when looking to fill coaching vacancies:  does he have a monkey? Ya gotta have a monkey in this league.
