I am hoping as I’ve said multiple times over the past three weeks Pitt knocks off Notre Dame.

also, is anyone paying attention to the UConn QB? I get the level of competition he routinely faces but his numbers are noteworthy. I wonder how he might do in the pros or on a better P5 team playing stiffer competition.

he might be a real gem. 💎 Jmo.

great write up @texifornia 🤘🏼

The ACC is not going 0 bid. That's fucking ridiculous. The CFP isn't going to put the ACC champ behind a 2nd G5 team.

AAC will get one and there's not much left past them.  Mountain West doesn't really have any candidate, hard to see JMU or UConn going ahead of the ACC champ.

Miami has a chance at an at-large if they win out and miss the ACCCG. A low chance, but a chance.

From the standpoint of not embarrassing the ACC, Miami might be the best bet anyway.

Probably. SMU is creeping up the advanced stats and likely has the 2nd best roster in the conference. Both teams of course need help to even make the title game because 8 game slates in 16-team conferences are so cool.

I don't trust any of the ACC or think they are any sort of threat in the CFP - but the league deserves a bid at least.

Yeah, but it's fun to pretend.

I was just listening to Cover 3 and they went over his stats. Absolutely eye-popping. Plus you know the kid grew up tough with a last name like that.

Lastly, here is Parker Fleming's advanced stats preview of the game against UGA:

Jim Mora isn't getting a lot of national credit because he's old and boring and it's UConn football, but it is legitimately remarkable what he's done in Storrs at a complete wasteland of a program.

If one of these open jobs starts realizing they're not getting the starry hire they dreamed of, he would not be a bad stopgap for a few years.

Tex, you gotta think about the demographics of this board before you start calling a dude "old" at 63.

60 is the new 40 and Mora is obviously in his prime.

I wonder how those advanced stats would shift if you took just the past 3-4 weeks and removed the stinkers earlier in the season when Arch was misfiring.

Plus he doesn't look ahead to the playoffs.
