Can you open developer options with f12 and see if the js console has errors in it?

Yep there's uncaught rerence errors and an uncaught type error loading this page (posting this from my phone, screenshot from my desktop)

Edit: wow that screenshot is missing pixels. Lmk how you'd like the error logs, if you want em

I’m getting the swipe/back button loop about 90% of the time since the upgrade. It also takes a while to load the page after clicking on a topic. Safari on iPhone.

I'm convinced apple legitimately cannot do software anymore.

Well yeah that's your issue. Clear all site data and try starting over. Its a client side thing if none of the libraries even load.

Huge pita to get to the UT sports subforum. Too many clicks

Shadow operative had posted how to remove it previously. It’s never been there for me - removing was first thing I did after a fresh login.

Do you recall how its done? I swear it was a toggle on the previous iteration, but i can find one now

Or you mean he posted how to do it on the prior version?

It was. There was an option at the top the opened a pop-up where you could change the background, etc. If you scrolled down, you could toggle the mobile navigation bar.

ah, didn't rebuild yet. Let me do that now.

Screenshot of the feed behavior. First post should be the only one in the feed, and if you look at the rest they look like a read post. Not sure if that's helpful or not.

ETA: The feed is loading like it's setup to show everything followed, whether read or unread. I tried resetting the feed, changing options and changing back, and no change.

Love the new layout and responsive. One nitpick is that the “up/top” arrow in the lower right corner still covers up the quote button that pops up. Makes it so you can’t dismiss the quote counter unless you scroll all the way back to top of page.

I'm having issues with certain embeds doing weird shit (only showing a small portion of the tweet/post) - a few screeshots are (edit: NOT) attached.

Before the update, I was having an issue where Twitter and Instagram embeds would hang up/take a very long time to load (freezing my page momentarily) and then once they loaded, my screen would quickly scroll down (maybe just all of the times I tried with nothing occurring at first, all happening at once? Not sure...). It was a pretty significant annoyance. It wasn't just here, but also on another forum (and I know its software/interface is buggy as shit). I figured it was probably just more fuckery from the lobotomites still working for Elon, but I thought this might be helpful to mention.

Samsung S24+, Android 16, Chrome

*well, it appears that I can't attach anything, not even a screenshot of the weird attachment screen that comes up, but the software seems to only want to allow me to attach files that I have previously attached to other posts. I get a message offering me the option to "insert existing attachment" which includes a screenshot I uploaded to this thread yesterday, and the most recent picture of the rotting gourds from the Halloween thread.

@immamac,

Noticed a quirk. If you click the "Go to topic listing" link at the bottom of a topic thread page, instead of taking you to that topic's listing (football, 995, Board Discussion, etc.) the thread topic falls under, it will take you to the last topic listing you opened or refreshed. This comes into play if you have more than one surly Topic page opened in seperate browser tabs. In the old site version, you will go to the page that topic thread is listed on regardless.

That's the downside to Fluid mode.

Not sure if this was worked out yet. Can that bottom bar be removed?

A toggle button like before on the home page for Fluid on/off would be great. Pain having to go into settings every time.

4 hours ago, immamac said:

most people either browse fluid or not. If you don't wanna do it "every time" you can also click on the forum section title and have a mini fluid view of just "sports" or just "entertainment" or just "other"

Added a new theme to put mobile nav in header.

Can also add another new theme that is fluid default so you can switch back and forth and I'll add a button to make that toggle easy.

The only reason I'm using Fluid mode is because "Latest News" isn't in dark mode in the new site software. It isn't in Fluid mode either, but the Latest News block is so far down the Topic page, you hardly run into it. Thanks.

I took it off.

It's still in the Table Forum Index View though.

this is done, no-avatar theme available in the theme dropdown now.

Thanks. Now we're cooking.

Yeah I see what you mean about the top navigation messing with the header on the new theme, but it’s not something I’ll really notice. Appreciate it!
