  1. It got up to 710 during Christmas of 1991. They had a ton of rain and couldn't release water downstream because it would have flooded everything past Travis. I believe the top of the dam is 714. Graveyard Point home owners were pissed because their houses at feet of water in them.
  2. I heard a little while ago that LCRA is expecting both to be full after all this is over.
  3. The PUA is waiting on the LCRA once that happens it will cascade down to them and then all the other water districts. They recently changed it from 1.1 million gallons to 1.2 million gallons to go back to stage 1. But inflows also need to be up(which they are). They also need to make sure that they have capacity....which in my opinion the PUA has promised more water than they can deliver in peak times, so that can hinder them going back to stage 1.
  4. It is not the individual water districts. It is the LCRA then the WTCPUA and Austin that set the tone for Austin and west of Austin. Once they go to stage 1 then the water districts will follow suit. If the districts go first then the LCRA and the PUA can fine the districts themselves.
  5. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2025/06/24/trump-f-word-iran-israel/84330169007/ There goes his peace prize
  6. How is the trade in value on those?
  7. I am on the board of a local water district. The county keeps asking for us to buy Flock cameras for our neighborhood so they can get hits of stolen cars and what not. It has been a hard no from me for a few years. Myself and another couple members have been able to head it off. Fuck that shit.
  8. West campus apparently is torn up. Reports of trees down and windows blown out.
  9. Tornado warning in dripping
  10. Chicken cutlet, fried prosciutto, tomato, arugula, garlic confit, burrata, balsamic glaze, pesto and grated Parmesan on a French bread load. Possibly the best sandwich I have ever had.
  11. To be fair, the bond for a new high school did pass in Dripping as well
  12. Didn't happen in Dripping. A board member whose husband is actively fighting to defund public schools won re-election.
  13. I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn, but I recall reading somewhere that it is applied on arrival. I would interpret that as when it reaches the port. That means we are all fucked.
  14. If you put Park Ranger on there make sure and submit a pic in front of a tree.
  15. Can’t strike if you are laid off cause the economy is in the shitter.
  16. Just like at UT. Everyone was to return in August full time. There aren’t enough spaces for everyone, so most administrative people are still only going in 2 or 3 days a week.
  17. Ended by 10 because they started at 6.
  18. Cheesesteaks…no cheese whiz. Will do that next time. Ribeye ready to slice Onion, garlic, hatch chilies and ribeye cooking up Olive oil, sriracha mayo, provolone and meat ready to go Cheesesteak assemble Cross section.
  19. yep, this proposed increase is a distraction. They are hoping that teachers won't openly be against vouchers since they are getting theirs.
  20. Yep, I am already seeing it as one of them is part of USAID and they are losing their mind. It's glorious
  21. This, I want to see the evangelicals explain this one. I used to be part of all that shit. Very curious to see how people I know still in that shit react.
  22. The bonds are paid off with property taxes. They separate property taxes between M&O and I&S(bond debt service). Two different buckets that can't be used to pay for the other. The little funds that the state does give go to M&O.
  23. We desperately need one. The High School is already over capacity and they are forecasting that by the time this one opens(if approved) that they will be between 800-1000 students over capacity. If it opens on time then it will be after my kids are through with school out here. Still need it and I will still support it.
  24. This school is out in Dripping Springs and the MAGA folks are trying to keep it off all the social media neighborhood groups. It is especially maddening since DSISD is trying to pass a bond this May for a 2nd high school. The voucher and property taxes are too high folks are making a push to defeat the bond. It doesn't matter that the state mandates that this is how schools are built and they keep voting those fuckers in for the last 30+ years.
