  1. About to ski Snowmass today. It will be great skiing the next couple of days. More snow is on the way on Sunday.
  2. This. After fighter escorts could be employed all the way to the target, the casualty rates improved dramatically.
  3. I was UT in the early 80’s and I was a huge Cowboy fan then. It was well known among the frat brothers that Landry was a Texas Ex. He was a DKE and a Texas Cowboy. And, yes, he was branded.
  4. Obligatory: Eskimo is not the proper nomenclature.
  5. Finally replaced one of my daily drinkers with the OF 100. It’s around $48 for a 1.5L vs. around $28 for the Evan Williams BIB. It is noticeably better and it’s only another $20. With my simple taste that says something. Thanks for the rec.
  6. I order this every time it’s on the menu at good seafood/Italian restaurant.
  7. Bacon and spinach quiche for brunch this morning. Quite good.
  8. I had problems with ML (Bank of America) in dealing with my father’s estate’s accounts. ML has lawyers based NY that review these matters and they are not cooperative and they look for ways to hold things up. It took us about a year to get things sorted out.
  9. Lately I have mainly been using sous vide to reheat things-especially BBQ. I used to do steaks sous vide quite often but it seemed like the middle of the steak was never warm enough. I typically would go 135-137 for at least two hours and more if the steak was frozen. The texture of the steak is normal for the high end of medium rare. I sear the steak several ways such as grilling on very high heat, cast iron and a torch. No matter, it seems like the middle of the steak is rather cool. I never do a cool water bath. Anyone else have this problem? I can get a medium rare steak at a Pappas Bros. or other good steak house and the middle is always very warm.
  10. Train travel always reminds me of this song. Some great visuals.
  11. I’ve always wanted to do the train ride from Vancouver to Lake Louise and then on to Banff. A Canadian client of mine said it is spectacular.
  12. I love the Centurion Club. Very good food for what it is. Good bar. That why I keep my Platinum Card.
  13. Yes, and women mostly wrote the screenplay and I believe women direct it as well. NTTAWWT.
  14. Same here for me and my wife. My adult daughters have had it a few times with no serious symptoms. I live with constant allergies so I only test if I get a fever. My last and only booster was November 2021 and I got Covid in June 2022 and I’ve been in close contact with many contagious people at numerous events since then. I’ve been Covid free since June 2022.
  15. Probably so. She just doesn’t grasp the tough times that most of Europe experienced in the late 30’s-early 40’s. I love the scenes showing the bravery of the Belgian and French women in smuggling our guys to Spain. Too bad the French leaders of the 30’s didn’t have their fortitude.
  16. So my wife sees the Polish girl and immediately assumed she was a prostitute. As she left the hotel (?) room she assumed that Egan paid her and they just didn’t show it.
  17. Stay out of Malibu, Lebowski! Stay out of Malibu, deadbeat! Keep your ugly fuckin' goldbrickin' ass out of my beach community.
  18. I went with the 790’s. Should arrive in a couple of weeks.
  19. I’m demoing Taylor Made irons tomorrow. Any suggestions on which ones to demo? I’m currently a 9.5 index and I have been as low as 7.9.
  20. Damn. It’s not often you see a guy get arrested at a golf course. I hope it was for excessively slow play.
