  1. I saw the trailer for this yesterday it reminded me (not sure why) that I needed to watch David Tennant's The Escape Artist again. My wife hadn't seen it, and she thought it was great for a three-hour miniseries. It's on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and Freeve.
  2. And now that hobby store is making sure that birth control is taken away from your whore of a wife!
  3. Do the other books keep the same fun vibe as the first one? Still reading through all of the George Smiley Le Carre books and finally hit The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. I enjoyed the first two books in the "series", but this one is the first one that's really heavy in international spying. Damn, he was just a master of writing this genre.
  4. I'm going to need that deconstructed.
  5. They always recommend that you don't mail it in a fake name, but I never bothered to understand why
  6. Hometown Hero and 3Chi are both fine and currently legal. I would assume that Hometown Hero either closes or moves out of state by September though.
  7. As long as I can still it mailed to my address, in my wife's name of course, then I'm good.
  8. Has to be one of the most fascinating places in the country. You know probably something like 80% of those students hate their lives yet don't have the balls to stand up to their parents.
  9. They didn't allow interracial dating until 2000. -
  10. I'd rather do the Sweetwater to Ft Sumner drive. At least that vast barrenness is interesting, the Fl Panhandle is just hours of the same damn tree over and over again.
  11. Maybe Rex Kramer has a point and instead of being Hitler/Stalin/PolPot he's a Pinochet/Videla with an essence of Jim Jones. Checkmate libtards.
  12. Not a good look https://www.sltrib.com/sports/byu-cougars/2025/05/21/byu-quarterback-jake-retzlaff/
  13. And what, pray tell, is your genius plan on what to do with all that salt after Brazoria County is full up?
  14. Yeah, but they've written us off as rich (for now) leppers already.
  15. In good news, you can just add it to the pile of shit and nobody will remember it in the US in about 48 hours (and only about 15% of Americans will even hear about it at all).
  16. I'm surprised we haven't nuked Zimbabwe yet
  17. It'll be like a Soviet military budget. 20 or so billion will go to contractor friends that will make a few prototypes and then have a few to sit in storage. The remaining 150 billion will be straight up missing.
  18. It's funny, 'cause even after all these years, we still get people giving us advice, how to improve the show. Actually, a few moments ago I ran into a nut back there, he said, you know, that maybe we should think about, you know, not doing the show in a bar.
  19. Looks cheaper than USA Transfers. I'll probably use them this go around. We've had bad luck with chatting up taxi drivers in Cancun vs everywhere else in Mexico. Usually in CDMX or wherever we'll get their What's App and just pay them a flat rate for the weekend and have them take us to wherever they like to eat and that kind of thing. It works great, except in Cancun.
  20. Never had any issues with USA Transfers who has been the recommended method from the Isla Mujeres thread for years.
  21. My wife really didn't complain about motels until I pulled into the Travelodge in Memphis TX a few years back. Now everything must be planned, and she'll probably have something like, "Made us stay at the Travelodge In Memphis TX" on my gravestone lest the people forget my transgressions.
  22. That was my recommendation, plus they have bison and bison are cool.
  23. If you're willing to increase the drive two hours you can skip 10 and go through Hattiesburg, Jackson, Vicksburg, Monroe, and Shreveport instead. We did that when I was in high school and it's one of the best drives in these United States to help you appreciate everything that you have in life. It wasn't a total loss though as we did mark off Southern Miss, LaTech, Jackson State, Grambling, and ULM on the "seen campus and stadium list" and Vicksburg National Military Park was actually worth visiting. That wasn't even our worst detour. My dad is a bit of an excentric fellow and once drove us hours of the way to eat in Monroeville AL in the off chance that he could see Harper Lee out on the town. It was not a successful venture, but the Old Courthouse Museum was interesting.
  24. Correct, national treasure
