  1. I'm pretty sure the current administration rolled back the Buttigieg era consumer protections, so I'm not sure what they'd be forced to do, if anything.
  2. That photo of Trump standing there should win a Pulitzer.
  3. Sure, I can try. Dems have little incentive to give in on their Medicaid and other budget demands after Tuesday's results and polls showing that Republicans are largely being blamed (and rightfully so, imo) for the shutdown. Republicans have a myriad of options, but with no singular play that makes everyone in the big tent happy. Even removing the filibuster which gets rid of Dem opposition there is not a 100% chance that all Republicans agree to vote on cutting Medicaid among other issues with the budget. On the other hand, you have those that do not want to agree to keep Democratic demands in the spending budget. Removing the filibuster also opens a can of worms where there can be more legislation that purple area R's don't want to have their name associated with as the midterms near. On top of that they have to come up with a budget(s) that the president will sign. Especially, with a president who does not like to appear weak or giving in to the opposition party.
  4. Decided to try the most lazy way to pirate games by just searching YouTube for UCF/Baylor on Saturday and it worked flawlessly. First stream lasted until right around half until it got shut down and the 2nd one completed the game. Of course, maybe since nobody cared about UCF/Baylor it stayed up longer than a different game, but thats just the bonus of being 5-4.
  5. Did we talk about this hilariousness yet? https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/05/world/europe/fifa-peace-prize-award.html I wonder who could possibly win?
  6. So now you admit to committing voter fraud for Dick Cheney!
  7. Jokes on Rocker, they all became Halal carts years ago.
  8. Good thing I'm an importer/exporter. Unfortunately, I've been focusing on the importing and quitting the exporting when I could be doing both.
  9. I swear he died like 8 years ago.
  10. I could use some Chili's.
  11. Exercising your right not to vote is a Democratic action, unless you're Australian.
  12. Im really disappointed in Derka
  13. She's just happy he has a hobby that gets him out of the house.
  14. The hits
  15. Are Spanberger's daughters (i assume) drunk or just quirky?
  16. Oh and the NY Jets
  17. Pretty sure NJ is just EWR, Atlantic City, Princeton, and South Philadelphia.
  18. Damn mainstream media, trans, and colleges.
  19. Thank god for the mosquito vote.
  20. One stop away, might have to make an appearance.
  21. We've always wanted to do a pizza tour on the way back from seeing a show, so this time we're going to get off at Christopher St and get a slice at all three of Joe's, Bleecker Street, and John's of Bleecker Street. We've eaten at the Joe's on Fulton, so might skip that one if we're too full.
  22. We always stay at the Frederick across the street but wanted a bit bigger of a room this time. Absolutely my favorite location to stay in the in city with it being right next to the 1, 2, and the 3 with the A and the C being a block away. The pizza at Little Italy Pizza on Chambers and Church is serviceable if you want a late-night bite and don't want to take the train. Los Tacos No. 1 at Church and Warren is always our first stop after dropping off the bags. There's a bookstore on Warren that only sells mysteries and is fun for a stop. Another fun little store is Philip Williams Posters on Chambers. We consider this part of Tribeca to be home for a week or so every year. We love that it clears out most weeknights as people commute out.
  23. We're staying at the Smyth in Tribeca in a couple of weeks for less than $450 a night and that's with a 300sqft room and on the weekend. I guess it depends on when you go.
