  1. Yeah...once you deduct the cost of the Sub-Zero, you've got about enough for the paint.
  2. Point taken.....but given the shitshow that has been UCLA football, I'll take it. Chip Kelly left a pretty low bar when he snuck out the back door.
  3. VIA Rail 'Canadian' between Vancouver B.C. and Toronto, best train in North America. Five (I think) different levels of service. Stay in the Rockies for a couple of days, then catch the next train, whichever way you're heading.
  4. 165 indicated on A8 returning my GT4 to the factory from Munich for its trip home. After legally doing 165, the car was flat boring in California.
  5. I had 8 unisaws (4 left, 4 right) for my business, but the powermatics were the workers favorites. Having said that, I kept a pair of unisaws when I retired.
  6. Wrong....my BIL on the El Segundo force is voting Biden
  7. If you're really using a truck for it's intended use, and I realize about 4% of buyers are, then the more sidewall the better. The look on the sales manager's face when I asked to trade for 2" smaller wheels was unforgettable. But what he did forget was to swap the spare, too. Realized that when I got back home, 850 miles later.
  8. They ware included in the transportation sector.
  9. Probably should've brushed his teeth a bit more.....

    Jimi

Steven Stills quote - "I was just trying to figure out what to do next (after Buffalo Springfield). I followed Jimi Hendrix around the country for a year learning how to play lead guitar and he taught me some great things'"
  11. The Stones! Their website resale went live yesterday @ noon, I pulled off the freeway and snagged 4 seats in the 24th row. After saying it for the last 10 to 12 yers, I really think this will be their last tour.
  12. Walnut & Oakland....the Arroyo location is stronger, IMO.
  13. I've been recreating outdoors for a long time....in my experience, many hunters and fisherman don't really have much respect for certain laws, ethics, or the environment.
  14. The sparsely populated areas are due to the many geologically unstable areas....four houses slid into a ravine awhile back. The best lobster that I ever had was taken off of the PV peninsula.
  15. PV is a rough commute to anywhere...it's amazing how remote it is from the rest of socal. But once you're home, the remoteness is quite appreciated, as is the climate. I know many people who have lived in socal their whole life and have never been there.
  16. Calling that house "ocean front" is quite the stretch....waters about a 1/2 mile away. It's a big estate in one of the denser developed areas of PV....still nice, though.
  17. Had my 21st birthday party @ his dad's restaurant in San Pedro, Petros was one of the servers....on the way back north on the Harbor freeway, one of the four cars in our party got picked off by the CHP, and nobody noticed until the unlucky driver called my house requesting us to bail him out. Petros voice may be grating, but he certainly knows what he is talking about. Have never heard him make a statement that caused me to say WTF?
  18. Actually two really bad calls....the receiver was standing inbounds when he kicked the pylon, refs called no TD on review. Two plays later the RB had two feet in the end zone, still no TD.
  19. Never heard of Neenach, and I lived in Southern California 65 years. But yeah, the Frazier Park folks can be interesting...
  20. Frazier Park is up in the mountains off of I5, aka 'the grapevine'. Many pine trees, often snows. No desert.
  21. Hmmm...wife and I are on a flight to Munich. By the time we're taxing down the runway, we both have itchy throats, by the time we're airborne, our lungs are itchy. The people behind had put two cats underneath our seats . We are quite allergic to cats. Airlines don't serve peanuts anymore, even though people have a choice what they put in their mouths...but they allow animals that people may be allergic to?
