  1. Eh, I think Islam and Judaism are a lot more closer. Christianity is the only religion out of the Abrahamic religions that projects divinity on to a man. Judaism is Coke, Islam is Pepsi and Christianity is Hill Country Fare grape soda.
  2. I used to live in Stone Oak many years ago as a young man. My regular commute took me past Cornerstone church where they would hold events dedicated to Israel. Occasionally, the fucking Prime Minister of Israel would show up to speak at the church. A totally, ignored church that somehow was able to get Netanyahu to fly from Israel into San Antonio, Texas to give speeches. John Hagee, the pastor of Cornerstone and a major influencer on "end of times" theology founded Christians United for Israel (CUFI). Hagee was also some insignificant rando that performed the closing prayer when the U.S. embassy that was moved to Jerusalem. A totally ignored national character. https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/christians-united-for-israel-cufi
  3. Yeah, he is just the United States ambassador to Israel. Why do you think he received that appointment?
  4. It's not fringe. Holy shit, do you live in a bubble or something? Guys like Mike Huckabee, the United States ambassador to Israel are marginalized nationally? How does that even make sense?
  5. Levantine cuisine, one of the great loves of my life.
  6. Christian Zionism. Are you not familiar with the concept ?
  7. Eh, it's only been a major plank of the religious right for decades. But I am sure they don't have any influence on the Republican party's stance on Israel.
  8. The flaw in his reasoning is an assumption that religious members of MAGA retain any fidelity to their church. Their faith resides in the MAGA movement and anything that is a contradiction to MAGA is discarded. Catholic, Protestant and weird non-denominational offshoots don't matter, only the overarching cult matters.
  9. I often think about that summer The sweat, the moonlight and the lace And I have rarely held another When I haven't seen her face And every time I pass a plate of migas And watch it dancin' with the wind Although I know it isn't real I just can't help but feel Her hungry arms again
  10. It seems that there are some missing details here.
  11. But can they pass the Army's physical fitness requirements?
  12. Been there multiple times myself as a dad and as a young player. Once my step-dad insisted on us driving to an American Legion tournament despite the storm and I thought we were going to die. Then I relived the experience with my sons.

  14. The quoted video reminded me of the video of Afghan men shaving their beards and cursing the Taliban around the time of the U.S. invasion. This image also came to mind.
  15. Have you considered compound lifting? Has your trainer?
  16. This thread has become really weird.
