  1. I wouldn't say Texans fans are fair weather. Some show up regardless of the pathetic ownership of the franchise, most are smart enough to not support the pathetic ownership.
  2. Ted Cruz will be the Republican nominee.

I took a cooking class when I was visiting Oaxaca. Proper mole is a pain in the ass to cook if you want to do it right. I'll try to find the recipe and post it here,
  5. Smith's Adjustable Angle has this option. It's a good sharpener and has 6 angles. Anything from kitchen knives to pocket knives. It also sharpens serrated knives.
  6. ^^^ I hadn't been in 15 years and was there in December. Very touristy now. I prefer the city than the beach. Spent a couple of nights in Akumal at an Airbnb on the beach. That was a nice getaway without it being packed.

    Asia Market on Fulton
  8. Plenty of options in Shady Acres. Onion Creek, ect...
  9. Here should have asked "where do you want it?" and then shot him.
  10. Try Pisco y Nazca and Mari Vanna if you want something different. Pisco y Nazca isn't a quick meal, but has excellent Peruvian food. Mari Vanna is a very good Russian/ Georgian restaurant with quick service. It's a pretty small place.
  11. I'm not a fan of CSR for this reason. It's almost always better to book with directly with United or transfer points to United and then book.
  12. Train is easy, but make sure the station is close to your hotel. Uber is ~$20
  13. Most likely 1 or 2 jurors disagreeing with the others jurors about the verdict. Could be a while.
  14. Jack Rose Dining Saloon is a must if you enjoy whiskey. Largest selection of whiskey I have ever seen. Reservations recommended but it's fairly easy to get a seat at the bar if you are solo. The food is also good.
  15. La Diplomat is good but I don't get the hype. Not worth the $$. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu at Rose's Luxury. That and the Capital Hill area is a great place to walk around.
  16. My flight landed too late for Old Ebbitt happy hour. My hotel is close to 14th. Pearl Dive Oyster Palace is a solid place for happy hour oysters. Was still hungry and went across the street to La Diplomat. Was chatting up a couple of cute girls and thought I was getting somewhere. That changed when 4 marine guys showed up in their Marine blue dress. Can't compete with that on Veterans Day. Walked to the monument and checked out Round Robin bar. Kind of stuffy but cool spot for a drink. 5hat and the Willard is a nice place to walk around. Happened to find a seat at Old Ebbitt for the 11pm - 1am happy hour oysters. Heading back to 14th. This city loves their whiskey and bourbon and lot's of options. I'm drunk.
  17. Oh, he's 23? Get some sushi in Midtown and hit up some bars. Easy enough. Or grab a bite to eat at Hollman Draft Hall or Woosters Garden. Both with decent food and an easy escape if the date isn't going well.
  18. Yep, go to Kau Ba. If it goes well from there go to the patio for a glass of wine at Brasil. If it's still going well hit up Poison Girl. She is a horrible person if she doesn't like Poison Girl. Poison Girl too crowded? Go to La Grange. Anvil will most likely be packed on a weekend and Tounge Cut Sparrow is nice, but reservations are recommended.
  19. I arrive in DC tomorrow and and leave Sunday. I have no idea where I'm going to eat and drink. I'm just going to arrive and see what I stumble upon.
  20. More on the ballpark improvements
  21. I would just start at Fenway and walk Boylston/Newbury street, through the Boston Commons, and to the North Side if the weather is good.

    TexMex

Montrose El Tiempo has half off fajitas every Wednesday
  23. That isn't a bad option. Start at Fenway and walk to the north end. Lot's of $1 oyster happy hours on the way. Democracy Brewing isn't a bad stop. ~$12 Uber from the north end.
  24. Red Sox suck. Everything is open and masks required inside.
  25. Just get to the North End. It will be a ~$12 Uber/Lyft. Lot's of historical sites in the area.
