  1. If you believe in European models, yes. This wave will plateau in a month.
  2. Any recommendation for a living room with high ceilings? My soundbar has a seating to increase the dialogue with the center channel, but it's still hard to hear conversations. It's like it just gets lost in the air.
  3. I spent a week in Boston this spring and was talking with a few guys at the bar and they asked me who the Astros rival is. Is it the Rangers, they asked? I really couldn't answer the question. I explained that the Astros are pretty new to the AL and Bud Selig tried to force an Astros/Rangers rivalry, but the Ranger have been pretty much irreverent other than a couple of years.. The last Astros rivalry I remember were the Cardinals and Braves to an extent. They all chimed in and said we like the Astros. They cheated, but so did we. Fuck the Yankees.

  5. I have a friend based in Harris county and does free consultations. PM me if you want details.
  6. #2 blade on the top and #1 blade on the sides. Or just go with a #1 or 1 1/2 on the entire head.
  7. I had a pretty good brunch at '93 Til. Didn't enjoy the $10 mimosa

    Houston BBQ

I haven't heard much about Piper’s BBQ & Beer and might check it out this weekend. Located on Shepherd and 24th.
  9. I git a letter it was going up to $550. It's already $550
  10. Actually no, firewalls do not prevent this kind of attack. I won't comment much about your wall comment other than it's the same as a company firewall. Sure, a firewall (wall) will help keep your infrastructure (border) safe to an extent, but there is a hell of a lot more investment and security needed to keep your organization safe.
  11. My gf is El Salvadoran and can't cook either. Most Central American countries don't cook with spices and peppers like Mexico, mostly bland food. I do enjoy a good pupusa though.
  12. This is a good deal and does everything you need https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BXXQ37X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Ninja DT251 Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven, Bake, Broil, Toast, Air Fry, Air Roast, Digital Toaster, Smart Thermometer, True Surround Convection

  15. I was just thinking La Fonda for breakfast or lunch. Guess that would actually be La Plazuela.
  16. Is La Fonda too touristy?
  17. I used to think the same thing about Washington until I drove by last weekend. East of Shepherd is still going strong. Downtown is also getting back to normal.
  18. United Quest Card is offering 100k miles. Not a bad deal if you frequently fly United. $250 annual fee with $125 annual reimbursement of United travel purchases. 3X miles on United purchases 2X miles on all other travel 2X miles on dining Two 5,000-mile anniversary award flight credits
  19. I assume they are including the entire nine-county Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land region. Pretty dumb.
  20. TMC hospitalization numbers show Houston is back to September numbers, which is also equivalent to early June numbers.
  21. Backups may have or may not have helped in this case. The hackers had been snooping around the network for a year before they took the system down. I'm sure they could restore, but it would take weeks to get everything back to where it was before the network was infiltrated. It's not just a simple restore.
  22. There is also the Washington Ave scene. I'm not sure if COVID killed the downtown bars or not, but downtown did look like is was opening back up last weekend.
  23. Pre-COVID I would say hit up downtown and walk around. Not sure if that's the case anymore.
