  1. I have the Benihana fried rice recipe. Also refrigerate the rice a few hours or overnight to reduce moisture. Garlic Butter For Rice (2 cups rice): - 1 stick butter - 2 cloves minced garlic - half lemon juice - soy sauce to your taste - mix
  2. I did and it wasn't graceful. Too much rum and it was an onion volcano explosion. It was an evening playing with fire. The bananas foster was perfect.
  3. ^^^^ didn't see that. Thanks!
  4. I have to take the cooktop off and bring it in the house or it will rust due to the Houston humidity. It's heavy and a pain in the ass. I would put the Camp Chef in the garage, but I don't have direct access to my backyard from the garage. I made some perfect Benihana fried rice Friday night.
  5. I like 60 games a season Correra. 182 not so much. Pay him for a half season and the playoffs.
  6. I think Daryl Morey shares some of that blame.
  7. You keep saying Tilman is cheap. When has he shown to be cheap owning the Rockets?
  8. Expect tough defense and 90 point games with Van Gundy. No fast breaks and fancy behind the back passes. Harden wouldn't last a season. Hard no to Van Gundy.
  9. I have little doubt there was something going on last year during the playoffs. Alex Bregman sitting on a meatball slider right down the middle on something like a 2-0 count. He knew that slider was coming and was waiting for a fastball. There were multiple at bats people were wondering why he wasn't swinging at pitches down the middle. I don't think he was getting fooled by those pitches. Kyle Tucker swinger at a fastball over his head. He knew that fastball was coming. The announcer sarcastically made a comment that Tucker swung like he knew that pitch was coming yesterday. Maybe they weren't using the same system they used in 2017, but they had some kind of system going on. I know they were good at analyzing pitchers tipping pitches, so that was probably also a factor.
  10. Opened an account last night. Why the hell not?
  11. Bill O'brien would
  12. I made something similar to these for dinner. I used Oaxaca cheese. White cheddar might be better.
  13. So now I have to go to the cloak room to read up on Trump getting COVID? Pretty dumb.
  14. Fuck those cokehead '86 Mets and mostly Lenny Dykstra
  15. This is correct. Tierra Caliente makes very good traditional tacos, but their breakfast tacos are average.
  16. Do it. I think they are the best in Houston
  17. I just spent a long weekend in Leakey. Get something like this. https://www.vrbo.com/4360265ha?adultsCount=2&noDates=true&unitId=4774418 https://www.vrbo.com/3498698ha?adultsCount=2&noDates=true&unitId=3476225
  18. I have been using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner for years. I don't know why because a shave my head pretty close these days. I don't know if it does any good, but my hair is the same and it's soft.
  19. That place was not good at all. The only thing that would have made it tolerable would have been hammocks.
  20. That's great unless someone comes up with 9 minute email
  21. I'm in the same situation. Think I'm going to cancel my sapphire reserve even though I need to renew my global entry next year. There are many other cards that will recoup that cost. The Chase Freedom Unlimited is upgrading there rewards program. 5% travel 3% dining still 1.5% on everything else. The only downside is I think you have to use the Chase portal for travel. The portal doesn't always have the best deals and of course won't include Airbnb, hotels, and airlines not on their portal.
  22. I'm lazy, but will make my own chili seasoning for my carne adovada recipe.
  23. I also have this slow cooker recipe. •1 1/2 or 2 pounds round steak, chuck roast, or similar meat •4 tablespoons all-purpose flour •2 tablespoons oil •1 large onion, chopped •1 cup chopped celery •3 or 4 jalapeños, stems and seeds removed, chopped •2-1/2 cups beef stock •2 tablespoons tomato paste •1/2 teaspoon ground cumin •2 teaspoons chili powder Flour the meat and brown it on pretty high heat. Dump the browned meat in the crockpot with the remaining ingredients. Stir, and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. ** you can also skip 1 cup of beef stock and add a half cup of green tomatillo salsa.
  24. The original Tacos A Go Go in midtown has a solid carne guisada.
  25. brown 3 pounds of sirloin steak in oil (can also use round steak or boneless beef chuck shoulder) 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 onion 2 bell pepper 2 cups water 3 tablespoons flour 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon cumin 1/2 tablespoon of salt 1/2 tablespoon pepper 4 ounces tomato sauce or use a can of Hatch diced tomatoes & green chiles instead of tomato sauce, beer instead of water, and add about a tablespoon of beef base.
