  1. you married Big Brother?
  2. we need the same pads, then. my brakes are SLX, which is the same as the XT but without the mysterious Free Stroke adjustment screw. I only rode RHR one time, years ago, before the fires out there. always kinda had the 24hr race there on my bucket list, but have never gotten around to it. my understanding is the fr512 area is accessible from outside RHR.
  3. you tried these guys, yet? https://wheelsmfg.com/derailleur-hangers/manufacturers/orbea.html what kinda pads you looking for? if you're down to the pins, I have some Shimano 2-piston style with the fins that have some life left. Thanks for the reminder to stock up on pads for my current brakes, though. I'm gonna be out of town, all next week. but I think I need to check out Fr512 in Smithville and learn me some jumping skills. more reps to be had there a whole lot cheaper than Spider.
  4. I know, it sucks! similar thing happened to me (video on previous page). found a level on eBay in Taiwan. put it on last sunday for a South ride. squirted a fist-sized rock on a steep descent and got sent into a cedar sapling on the left, which promptly squeezed that brake lever for me and sent me OTB. it was right above the lip of about a 2ft drop, so I had a long time to think about how much it was gonna hurt while I swung through that high arc. bruised shoulder, bruised ribs. fortunately, after I got my wind back, the pain didn't get serious until I got to the truck. we cut it short, but we still got almost 900ft of climbing in 5.5miles. but sleeping's for shit. hurts to do anything but blink. double-fuck sneezing or coughing (never realized how bad I am at swallowing my spit).
  5. the speed limit on turning the VHF knob on the tv. not specifically defined, but we got yelled at by my dad if you went too fast for his comfort at the moment. prettymuch just had to keep the clicks from channel to channel distinct from each other to prevent "wearing out the contacts". since we were the de facto remote control for my parents, this was a sacred duty.
  6. ok, but how about them warlocks?
  7. so close, but no worky. oh well.
  8. the seats in my 2000 taco are shot (driver-side springs, anyway). 60/40 bench. need to figure out if the rails are the same.

  11. who's gonna tell him about PEX Herpes?
  12. is it that hard? is it really that fucking hard? jfc on a popsicle stick. /trivial shit
  13. I make the same mental translation when I hear Manu Ginobli to Heywood Jablowme as I do Gus Malzahn to Harry Ballsagna. they're not even close. it annoys me. carry on.
  14. I'm just gonna assume it was about Ameros.
  15. my bad. should have said, "tell the last part first." apparently, I sweat 1/2" copper for beer (if you're in 78759).
  16. so...wrong thread, jimbo.
  17. this is how bored I am
  18. maybe, but my working theory lately is there's too many damn lawyers here, and no one wants to take the chance on getting sued. kind of like how none of the real doctors chime in on the health/injury threads.
  19. from all the recreational drinking and lack of activity, I was clearly dehydrated, but had to run with the inspiration (and comparatively fair weather) at the moment. started running out of juice somewhere in the U. resultant backfires from the increase in effort diverted my aim several times, thereafter. all the pipe paranoia here finally got to me last night, so I went around checking hose bibs. had two frozen. no heatgun, so I used my MAPP torch from a distance, until I got cold and pissed off at the stubborn one. sweat joint came loose, just inside the rock wall (haha, very funny plumber guy). I backed off, and it seemed to hold when it cooled down. not so much when I checked it this morning. shut off the main, drained the system, then removed, cleaned and reinstalled it. bullet dodged. so...don't do what I did (although it was effective on the ice problem). .
  20. 2.0: good thing my HEB is never open. otherwise if they sell out of those fries, my kids will hunt you down and kill you. last of the chili I made on Thursday to take with us on a ski trip we cancelled on Friday. ran out of fritos yesterday, so had to go with broken Calidads. pretty sure the japs triggered my run upstairs. can't complain. got to take care of business while I still had power to my bidet. never know exactly when the next blackout will hit.
  21. something something lemons...
  22. I can attest, she's smokin hot.
